  • Cougars are making a comeback, and moving slowly eastward. Reestablishing their old ranges.

  • The one my sister & I saw in broad daylight in her neighbor's yard was a big male, about 150 lbs. It was actually a double sighting. When we stopped the car to watch the cougar it ran into a stretch of juniper bushes in the woman's yard. Out the other end ran a bobcat, that had been hiding & watching the bigger cat. It ran across the main road & sat down to keep an eye on it. It was a great sighting! Happened just outside of Corvallis, Oregon.

  • Missouri has noted that we had cougars move in around 10 years ago. My mom first saw them a year before they announced it in Missouri Conservationist

  • Lived in Tucson AZ for 15 years, and had several cougar encounters, and I'm still here. They can be dangerous - all wildlife can be - but with the two very up-close meetings they were more interested in getting away from me. And one _did_ leap over 20 feet, rebounded, and leapt another 15, but at the end, over a six foot fence. We did look in the area he ran to and found his huge paw prints. I ran down to the hardware store, got some plaster mix, and made five casts!!!

  • Un puma chiuso in una gabbia strettissima, in uno zoo di provincia in Piemonte, Italia; quasi impossibilitato a muoversi, miagolava disperatamente. Che pena!
