DMC2 gameplay had severe changes as well as the ranking and upgrade system, turning it into somekind of button masher unlike DMC1 where you had to be much smarter about your upgrades and had a tighter gameplay

Hey, demon hunters! I played Devil May Cry 4 for the first time, on PC... i get this game from my uncle, 3 years later he buy me DMC3 man, this was a game! My favorite character was Nero, untill i play as Dante in DMC 3... I play as Dante in DMC 4 but this wasn,t it. Dante was not so badass as in DMC 3. But i love Nero story. so... i love both games! And this soundtrack, man... (sorry for my english, but im drunk and im from poland sorry for this grammatical catastrophe :) )

Given from comments i'he seen here thus far. It would make sense that Dante would be overpowering at DMC 4. Since in DMC 3, he was quite weak compared to Vergil first fight. After being stabbed by the Rebellion, that was when his power began to surge. Though I do agree that DMC(reboot) was horrible. DMC 4 could have used a better plot, and so on. DMC 3 is my favorite out of the series though.

DMC 4, I am guessing is waaaaaaaaay after that, and brings in the final new character, Nero. Once Nero gets Yamato involved, Dante gets even more involved, knowing the world could end if he didnt get it back in time. DMC 2 is many years later, where Dante has matured and grown, honing his skill in combat. He was asked to go to an Island and stop an organization that was terrorizing the area. After all the bull that came afterwords, Dante had no choice but to take the fight to hell.

Honestly there both good in there own way besides the girls loved the Dante from Dmc3 better than any other 1 , Dmc1 was awesome because it broke the mold on Hack and Slash , Dmc3 was also Amazing because it expanded on what Dmc2 and Dmc1 started Combat wise . Dante being big mouthed well he was simply younger and more edgy and didn't care as much . Capcom also had to make up for the Fact that the Dante from Dmc2 was really silent

DmC is a DMC reboot made by Ninja Theory. The story is completely differente, unlike the normal one, Dante fights in limbo, a place where demons live, but normal people cannnot see, and some of the actions on Limbo may have consequences in the normal world, though, Dante is a Neflim here, its the son of an Angel and a Demon, thats why he can travel between both worlds, unlike DMC, he was son of a Human and a Demon. Also, gameplay is totally different, its so extremely easy to do Combos, even SSS

but in where dmc1 is artistic, dmc3 is fun, edgy, and all around eye appealing while still staying true to the story

DMC 4, I am guessing is waaaaaaaaay after that, and brings in the final new character, Nero. Once Nero gets Yamato involved, Dante gets even more involved, knowing the world could end if he didnt get it back in time. DMC 2 is many years later, where Dante has matured and grown, honing his skill in combat. He was asked to go to an Island and stop an organization that was terrorizing the area. After all the bull that came afterwords, Dante had no choice but to take the fight to hell.

Honestly there both good in there own way besides the girls loved the Dante from Dmc3 better than any other 1 , Dmc1 was awesome because it broke the mold on Hack and Slash , Dmc3 was also Amazing because it expanded on what Dmc2 and Dmc1 started Combat wise . Dante being big mouthed well he was simply younger and more edgy and didn't care as much . Capcom also had to make up for the Fact that the Dante from Dmc2 was really silent

DmC is a DMC reboot made by Ninja Theory. The story is completely differente, unlike the normal one, Dante fights in limbo, a place where demons live, but normal people cannnot see, and some of the actions on Limbo may have consequences in the normal world, though, Dante is a Neflim here, its the son of an Angel and a Demon, thats why he can travel between both worlds, unlike DMC, he was son of a Human and a Demon. Also, gameplay is totally different, its so extremely easy to do Combos, even SSS

Well 1 was the first so it was a diamond in the rough at the time, by the time they got to 3 they had fixed all the qwerks and so capcom found their zen with 3 thus awesome graphics, style, gameplay, plot and music :)
