Bro there is new agility and strength versions of the pokemon moves so it would make sense to have a whole new Stat system .plus the pokemon from the past were probably stronger than pokemon from the modern times. Just saying
Austin I love the title. All the captions about “things you missed” have begun to irritate me given how nobody knows what anyone else saw or didn’t see. That being said I enjoyed how you played on that common idea while also not giving the same level of gravitas those other people seem to give their selves with those titles. You’ve always been a humble gem of positivity, and I enjoy all of the content!

Since this is the latest video I hope Austin finds this. About the previous trailer from about a month ago. The attacks showed a triangle, a square and a dot. People guessed correctly that this shows type effectiveness. On pokemont home, when you click on a pokemon's type, it gives you a list of its type effectiveness with very similar icons.
I used Google lense with Japanese to English to translate the text in the battle in the Japanese trailer and it said Win one time since I had to try multiple types. The other times it said katsu fish😅

The “pastures” instead of PC boxes is literally just Pokémon ranch. Which came out for generation 4, as an early Pokémon bank. So it’s the same thing. Which is a nice touch
It's such a cool concept and I actually like it way more than the regular PC
They get bonus points if we can see them in the overworld like pokemon ranch maybe a bit smaller like the first 5 pokemon in the pasture would be cool.

Just had a realization. “Arezu” sounds like “Ares” which is one of the Gods of war, i forget if its greek, or roman. But “Mars” is a translation of Ares if i remember correctly. They are definitely linked. Edit: the kind folks in the replies clarified my mistakes
You're on the right track: Ares: Greek god of war and courage Mars: Roman name for Ares So it's incredibly likely that "Areza" is being used as a feminine version of Ares

Theory time Urshifu will be in the game, why? Pokedex entry says it's form a far region In order to gigantamax it you need to get honey from vespqueen(pokemon found in sinnoh) And in order to evolve kubfu into urshifu, you need to have max friendship and finish a battle in strong style for single Strike form or agile style for rapid Strike form

I don’t think vespiqueen is likely since all the noble Pokémon seem to be regional evolutions, and we already saw regular vespiqueen
My theory is that vespiqueen gets a new evolution, my theory is, combee has a higher female ration which led to vespiqueen to fight for ranks, like back then before humans influenced the region, and that evolution died overtime as humans took over and the gender ratio dropped to the one we have in sinnoh

I hadn’t even thought about Regigigas! The reason he has such a crappy ability is because he was in stone since ancient times, therefore it takes him a while to get back to normal. Since the game takes place in said ancient times, maybe he will get a new ability and be at full power first turn!
I think it's gonna be a really cool side quest! You heard something about Titan pokemon that cause havoc in the snowy area (cuz that was the place you find regigigas in the original game) and then you got the task to defeat it but since he's too strong you can only seal it, thus making regigigas have the slow start ability
I dont think abilities are in this game but nice idea!
If they're getting away from item-based evolutions, does that mean they might be getting away from trade evolutions? Like finally having a natural evolution for Gengar
I would support less item + trade evos. We're only seeing one version of the game this time around too, so no version exclusives, which fits well with less trade dependent actions overall.
I like item evos. Don't see anything wrong with those, especially after they introduced more evolutionary stones like the Ice Stone. I wish more Pokémon had those, Happiny needing an Oval Stone to evolve is just too cute. Trade evos are the worst though, and Escavalier & Accelgor are the only ones that have made sense to me as trade evolutions

The nuzleaf evo makes sense to me. I know it's only a silhouette but I have high hopes for that one being the secret female pokemon

Could be a new Tyrogue evo, the tyrogue is male, it wouldn't be the first time pokemon change genders, azurill(25%/75%) to marill(50%/50%)
The starter pokemon lvls in the trailers though were significant because they were specifically 1 lvl below their evolution lvl
The Japanese website calls the Noble Pokémon “Kings and Queens” as well as noting that the Wardens each come from either Diamond or Pearl Clans. Seems like the regional variants or evolutions will all be assigned a warden. That means we have yet to see the Warden for Braviary and the potential Hisuian Arcanine.
check magikarp's pokedex entries . "In the distant past, it was somewhat stronger than the horribly weak descendants that exist today." we might be getting a new magikarp, one that's stronger!

I think the increased stats are just to balance out the new battles system, so you don’t die immediately
I don't know Japanese so I could be wrong but that Kleavor "mountain climb" might just be a poor translation to mountain pass. Too much of Kleavor articles talk about it being a cutter and it can casually just cut tree in half. I don't think that is meant to be the climbing pokemon. I'm still leaning to a Regional Nuzleaf evolution.
Oh 山登り _yama nobori_ actually means "mountain climbing" - this part is correct. However, the original comment is still misleading though, because it doesn't say 山登り next to Kleaver but only next to that silhouette which is _climbing a mountain..._
4:01 The silhouette doesn't completely look like Kleavor though. Kleavor has really thin arms and the mystery Pokémon has thicker arms and also has a rounder head with a large appendage on it's head.
My guess is it's gallade, it's also got a regional form

I think the idea of the “lady Pokémon” being a new female evolution of Nuzleaf is a pretty good idea, especially since Shiftry is so obviously designed with ancient Japanese folklore in mind. It’s definitely not Vespiquen because we already saw it doesn’t have a Hisuian variant. However I think we should also recognize the likelihood that it could be a new Hisuian Gardevior instead. Gallade was introduced in Gen 4 as a male variant for the Ralts evolution, and personally I think it would make sense for there to be a Gardevoir regional variant that they would want to introduce today, as a sort of parallel to what they did 10+ years ago. However I really think it could go either way, and I think whichever one it is, it is the ride Pokémon we saw leaked as the rock climber.
We have already seen gardevoir as well tho :/ I love the idea tho

Hmmm my guess was actually a miltank evo or variant (which I dislike the idea of if I’m honest) or maybe something with blissey or maybe Kangaskhan? Have we seen kangaskan yet?

I’ve always thought the rock climbing pokemon looked a lot like a variant of Sneasel. Sneasels design has a little leaf on it’s head (that could grow in evolution) and it also has ice pick like hands, ice picks are used to climb!! it was also a prominent pokemon in D/P/Pl so I could totally see another evo for it. Also!!! a lot of Gen 5 presence, maybe we get old school Unova for a bit :)
I like how in both of the previous videos he calls Lopunny "Buneary"
I noticed something. Each Warden's band is the primary and secondary color of the pokemon they ward. Iscan has a blue with red marking band, matching his fishy friend Basculegion. Wyrdyrr is white and light brown markings, the colors of Mai's band. Liam is the best example though, his band being the exact yellow and brown marks in the shades matching Kleavor. And this leads me to Arezu. Her band is green, with defining red marks. Which match a pokemon that originated in Sinnoh but is known for being evolved from Kirlia, Gallade. I very well might be wrong, but I think that her Noble will be a regional female form of Gallade. Alternatively, just a regional form of Gardevoir, since Gardevoir is already well known as one of the primary "Lady" pokemon.
In the (beautiful) map there are some people (more in the snowy area) with clothes that look like palkia; in pretty much all the rest of the map there are people with clothes similar to dialga. From the wardens that we have seen, three wear blue clothes with a pentagon in the middle ( just like the diamond from dialga) and Lian wears white/purple clothes ( palkia colors) with a circle in the middle (just like a pearl). And if I’m not mistaken in one of its Pokédex entries she is referred to as the Queen Pokémon. Doesn’t get more noble than that.
When the crafting is shown, the description for the potion says it heals 60 HP, a big difference to the usual 20. Which makes sense with how HP stats are much higher in this game.
I believe Jynx can totally be the female pokemon. It would give her that evolution she deserved in Gen 4.

Arezu being an ancestor of Mars really makes sense since she says "You Galaxy people..." and Mars being Team Galactic.
"Arezu" sounds so much like "Ares" that there is no way she's not related to Mars.
I could actually see Shiftry getting a female regional variant. Since it represents a Tengu, a Youkai (demon from Japanese folklore). There are a number of female Youkai, for example the Yuki On'na to name just one (though that Youkai is already being portrayed by Froslass). However, there are also a number of traditional Japanese professions that are being executed by women such as Geisha or Goze
The yamauba yôkai would fit.
If I remember correctly, Jynx is based on the same or a very similar Yokai. I think it'd be weird if the acorn suddenly evolves into an ice type though. I'd personally also be happier with another cool looking Tengu form for Shiftry - maybe one with a beak this time - but we'll see 👺

Man, your channel deserves so much praise for being a major hub of pokemon and zelda culture. I have been deep in pokemon and zelda since the 64 and gbc days and I've gotta say that your content is some of the most consistently engaging and exciting part of my experience with the series that has helped shape me from the beginning. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way and it's just nice to see so many people on the same page about something I felt was so isolated of an experience as a kid compared to now. You do a lot for the community and I personally appreciate all your effort and time you spend on your channel.

Well swsh pretty much already did that, and games before it by allowing them to be caught in the wild.

I doubt it. Jynx was part of a trio until gen 4, in which it was separated from magmar and electabuzz, likely for its original controversy. Though I heard somewhere that Jynx was originally supposed to have no head, just a face, a void, and hair. So if it does have a variation it'll likely use this basis.

Do y'all want to know when those HUGE BRICK PHONES were dropped? September 1983. IT'S NOT THAT LONG AGO, SINCE WE HAD PHONES. The first ACTUAL SMARTPHONE not the first generation iPhone, but the first smartphone, went on sale in 1994. And the first actual smartphone from apple launched in 2007. It really isn't that hard to imagine a FANTASY GAME having a smartphone in the 18th century.

I just released a video talking about how I feel about them being the HMs, more even because supposedly we won't freely be able to travel through the biomes (like in BotW). Usually when our progress was halted in previous games, it was because we needed a HM. Here it could be because we need to be able to summon the appropriate noble Pokémon. About the Lady Pokémon (which I still feel like it is the climbing one), my bet is Female-only evolution for Nuzleaf! Awesome video as always!

It makes sense that you wouldn't need to trade with items for certain evolutions since there's only one version of the game, hence no version exclusives, limiting the reasons for trading.
I think there will be 30 different maps or however many areas there will be where you can just flick the analogue stick to move between maps, similar to the dlcs in sword and shield
The purple color is what happens when light hits obsidian specifically polished but still can happen on unpolished stone!

Good thinking with the Decidueye theory. I've looked into it there seems to be more evidence that we'll be getting regional starter evos; Typhlosion is based on the Japanese badger which isn't found in Hokkaido (the region of Japan which Sinnoh draws inspiration from) and for Samurott, both Japanese otters and Japanese sea lions are (sadly) both extinct.
I hope the regional evolutions for the starters is Grass/Flying, Fire/Steel and Water/Fighting.
I noticed that when your trainers took damage, they grunted. Maybe this game has some level of voice acting finally.

I just realized that so far the noble/ride pokémon have all come from 2 of the 3 respected regions of this game. Basculin and Braviery both come from Unova and Stantler and Scyther come from Johto (since kanto and johto are literally connected). This can mean that there are two more noble pokémon that come from Alola, one of which possibly being the leaked climbing one. It also matches up with the “certain female pokémon” with Salazzle being an only female evolution.
Thanks for reading out my comment! My current theory on why the hp values are so high is to prevent you from getting 1hkos on pokemon and should make it easier to catch pokemon if you over level your team. Also it will most likely be to insentivise you to catch pokemon rather than grind through battles (assuming we still get xp for catching pokemon)
I agree with the map, if you also look at the little tents they have a wing next to them, so it’s probably fast travel points.
I love that all these videos are speculation based off of official information not wild theories based on leaks.
Adding to Arezu's Pokemon, I definitely think it's either the "nuzleaf evolution" or another ride Pokemon because they are keeping her Pokemon a secret and it wouldn't make sense for them to keep Vespiqueen a secret when they have shown her before.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved the idea of an open world Pokemon rpg experience, complete with a fully fleshed out training system where you can train up particular stats and moves to make our teams truly unique. They would be like mini games such as climbing trees, swimming in water, jumping from platform to platform, etc. They would scale in difficulty depending on the Pokémon’s stats. Training up speed would take more time or require more precise quick time events for Pokemon that are naturally slower (ie: Geodude)
In your previous video you talked about Onix and metal coat and you were wondering if scizor will be the game. My thoughts is that we will discover that scyther can evolve into a another pokemon which is scizor by using the metal coat. Maybe over the years people decided to evolve their scythers to scizors instead of Kleavor and that's why we don't see Kleavor in the present day.
I absolutely love that cyndaquil has its fire blazing in the Pokemon battle @ 20:48 .... I really missed its fire being out in older 3D models
It just seems to make sense that the extra numbers next to the Pokémon’s stats are stats you can work up by making a connection with your Pokémon. It would imply you actually have to use your Pokémon to make them stronger. Might be like the pokemonamie system where the more you bond with your Pokémon the stronger it becomes

I always loved the regional pokemon. In fact I would love to have even more of them. Heard a lot of people, who hated these but I just think it is nice to catch old pokemon you love in variant forms. What would I give to see the first starters in different forms
The battle at 20:20 looks almost like its actually from an anime. They've come so far its amazing.
Talking about the trade items to evolve pokémon. Maybe you have to collect different "minerals" to evolve them like the description of the Kleavor says: Specials minerals in the Hisui region have caused Scyther to evolve into Kleavor. Something like "electric mineral" for Electabuzz to evolve into Electivire or something along those lines.
So far I’m loving the idea of alpha Pokémon and noble Pokémon, where we get to fight these Pokémon as if they were monsters in monster hunter. It’s really cool and I hope they have tons of it Legends Arceus.
