The color of the buttons also resembles a mouse's fur, so 10/10 for the mouse look
I’m glad the realism is improving on these mice I have no idea why the tail has been on the front for so long
Would you recommend the Mz1 wireless or the x2 mini for fingertip grip?
what mouse do u recommend for XL hands under 100 bucks and wireless. i just got the razer death adder v2 pro for 57$ but i could return it and get a better one. any recommendations?
The curved mouse buttons could've helped with relaxed palm grips if the mouse was just bigger in general for large and medium hands. Even low button heights like on the x2 is considered unnatural for our two fingers to be even slightly raised off the desk, in my opinion. If people were able to palm grip this mouse, then the shape would feel a lot better but I think they missed the mark by making it just a little too small for adult sized hands to palm.
Are you gonna review the Focus "Ambition" mousepad? @boardzy
Hi guys i bought the saturn pro and it’s giving me allergy, it looks like i’m allergic to polyester, so i guess i wont be able to use my zero coming as well, is there any artisan pads that aren’t made of polyester?
this reminds me of the wmo like you said, and i loved the WMO
The lack of comfort grooves is something other people are not bringing up so thank you for mentioning it
what's the comfort in it??? I DONT UNDERSTAND it restricts your finger movement it makes no space for fingers WHAT COMFORT YOU TALKING ABOUT??
This mouse is amazing!!! I thought it was horrible in the beginning but after using it.. it's AMAZING!!!@!
@@denismolander i agree. Comfort grooves are annoying because they restrict your fingers
Whoa 🎉
Cant wait for the ninjutso sora review!
I received my copy of the Retro M8 approximately 4 days ago now, and frankly I absolutely adore this mouse. Unlike most I've never used, or even held a WMO, so I cannot make a comparison on that front. That being said, this is one of the most comfortable mice I have ever used. The aggressive front curvature hasn't bothered me in the slightest, and I can get a nice comfortable claw/palm grip on this mouse with my small/medium hands. Zero body flex, creaking, or button play on LMB & RMB, with flawless 3395 implementation, truly solid stuff from Xtrfy. I am looking forward to their future releases. Great video Boardzy
I got this mouse and thought the same thing when i was holding it. Cant hold it far enough forward to take advantage of the low profile mouse 1/2, my fingers are actually sitting higher off the pad than my x2 mini, very odd. A mini version could possible put my hand in the right position but the side buttons would then be very hard to hit
I was the similar but I kept playing with it and now I have a really comfortable grip (relaxed claw) and it feels very good now to me. I wouldn't mind a slightly shorter version too
I really appreciate Xtrfy trying new things instead of just copying shapes. I bought the mouse to try it out because it looked interesting, and the Retro color scheme is very cool. It is a small mouse, much smaller than the Death Adder V3 I've been maining for a while, but the shape feels nice. Kind of like a GPX mini like you stated. My hands might get a bit cramped when I use it for long periods. I will say my sens feels lower when using this mouse, I could immediately tell when switching back and forth to the DaV3. Not too fond of that but otherwise I really like the mouse, even though I don't see it becoming my main. I think people with small hands will especially like the M8.
ik this is super late but aim coach here! the same sens feeling slower is actually a good thing, means you have more control
I recently bought this mouse and it's my favorite shape by far! For comparision I also ordered a xtrfy M4 and a Z1 pro. The M4 was the worst for me, Z1 Pro is ok but it kind of feels cheap and the sensor feels a bit sluggish? My only grime with the M8 is, that after some weeks I had to up the debounce time to 8ms. It started to randomly double click on 2ms debounce time.
Is it still good ?
Hey @boardzy maybe you got a idea, searching for a mouse which has very spammable left clicks. or maybe you have a idea which switches are very "soft" /spammable, so id order these.
What about using the palm grip to utilize the ultra low button hight
I mean, it’s something new and i like that. I certainly won’t be buying it but the more options the better!
received the white m8 today, really liking it so far... small, nice to grip for me, nice coating (little bit more rough so not so slippery like the superlight, kinda similar to razer da v3, viper). Medium hands, used the DA V3 PRO for the last couple of months.... as always, depends what you prefer... its kind of a mini superlight, with a way more aggressive curve on the front buttons, but i really like taht so far.... i can kinda clamp this mouse nicely... was a hard decission in terms of colors - but if i keep using it, i probably get another colorway :-)
So you buy mice for fun
didn't think i'd like this mouse but it's actually great. it honestly is a superlight mini. feels really good, so much control with it. i can see it being a miss for larger hands.
The charging is on the side woah
hello, i want to upgrade my mouse to a wireless symetrical mouse, I bought the gpro x but the shape was pretty awful in my opinion, the mouse shape which I liked was the marsback zypher pro, what do you recommend?
Well then prolly Model O and its variants
@@reoonsomeshit ok ty
@@hamsterfood3967 you can also maybe try a Finalmouse if you have the money

props to them for making something different, im not gonna buy it but props none the less
agree
Finally interesting product I want to try
@boardzy video/stream 255 of asking for a review of uvi gear mouse or mousepad
Personally I don't like comfort grooves because it more or less forces your fingers into the middle and also with inward curved clicks it transfers the force from your fingers into the middle anyways.
I hate comfort grooves too
What are comfort grooves?
@@ACE112ACE112 its when the mouse buttons are dented in the middle
@boardzy bro can you help me? wmo is the best mouse for me. Which mouse most similar to wmo ? Please help me bro
maybe for smaller hands this low front gives some benefits
any idea on when the ninjutso sora review is coming?
Tomorrow or thursday
ah nice, thanks
Been waiting for this mouse. Looks super interesting
Very good review boardzy
What's ur main mouse
This feels like a mix of high end parts/construction, vintage inspired, aesthetic-oriented, but performance capable. Like a casual trihard with something like the Moondrop keyboard could get this 100% for aesthetics without sacrificing having quality hardware.
Ninjutsu sora click latency?
I think u should try the new razer strider color people say it has a different texture and performance
wow. great review
What is the mouse at 0:27?
what mouse is at 1:52? Thanks
Feels like they just tacked on those buttons on the front, instead of making a good shape starting from the front buttons.
if they designed it for claw grip with the low point at front i think that'll work but this exactly looks just like an egg
I don't like the look of this. I think we have hit a point with mice that there isn't really much more they can do to add new features. So they radically change the design and I don't think for the better. I spent years looking for the 'perfect' mouse. What I found is that there isn't one. Some are better than others depending on your style and hand size. However, you'll never find a mouse that suddenly makes you a gaming master overnight.
model o pro what happend ?
I dont understand why the clicks need to be in line with the shell if they lower the clicks from the shell it would be much better with a light curve in it, would look more weird but who on earth will use the tip of the clicks at this shape anyway :D
Very high sens players.
Still not convinced by the low button height
they spent all their comfort groove budget on RJN's mice designs
Just noticing the charging on the side is already weird.
wheres the ninjutso sora review 😭😭
Anyone ever think that maybe boardzy is just an advanced gpx superlight controlling a body?
caught me
We are all Meat Mobile Suit Gundam pilot's in a way.
@@Hk7762Tube very true
I love it for finger tip.
That's so weird because they had good low buttons design on the MZ1, why wouldn't they just use that design to improve on. Having 45° buttons makes no fkin sense to me.
I just wanna know who's clicking their mouse from the very front.
Xtrfy MATE
Shocking !
I've been kind of waiting for a mouse like this, but I'm not sure if this is going to work without trying it. The point of low reaching buttons is increasing the height difference from the hump to the fingertips, being able to palm grip it in a way where your palm leans more forward and down which feels more comfortable (mice with high button height feel like my hand is unnaturally shooting upwards). With every mouse I with the hump was higher and my fingertips lower. I want to feel like I'm grabbing the mouse in my palm instead of just resting my hand on it. I also think current mouse designs are not even close to be curved enough to fill the curve of my palm. Something I would want from this kind of design and that no mouse has done (as far as I know), is making the switch or PCB angled so that the click action becomes perpendicular to the button surface. In all current mice, the switch points downwards, which is off angle from the button surface. The steeper the angle of the button (like in this mouse near the button tip), the more off-angle it is from the switch and the worse the click feel becomes. Try this with your mouse: while clicking the button, try pulling your finger backwards, and compare this with pushing your finger forward. The forward action works way better because that's how the switch is aligned. Pulling the finger back however, feels way more natural, as if you are grabbing the mouse, but it's not supported by the construction. The result of this simple design is that flatter mice end up having better clicks, even though steeper curve and hump would be better ergonomically in my opinion. Even if you prefer less curved mice, the switch angle is still unoptimal, and I believe a properly angled switch would be the breakthrough development for superior click feel.
You could try companies like Piranha Mouse Mods, who 3d print mice. I know PMM, specifically, is willing to print a fully custom shape for you. You can have a piece of clay sent to you for you to mold and then have them print the mouse. This can be expensive, and there is no guarantee that they will accept your offer but if you are as much of an enthusiast as it sounds here, it's worth a look.
Actually roccat did this with Kain 120/200. Main button switches are in their own separate chambers and are angled so they stay perpendicular to the mouse button. Even sh*t stock omron 50m switches felt heavenly due to this engineering decision. No matter how many mice i try (and i tried a lot of new and hyped mice in 20-22), kain 202 is still in my top 3 in terms of how main buttons feel. Shame it was too heavy (partially due to double pcb and excess plastic needed for this angled switch design) and big for me. Also the coating on this thing is created with either dark or divine magic.
@@Kaylas1821 Honestly the best solution would be switch manufacturers coming up with angled switch. It would mount straight on the PCB but the top part with the mechanism would be angled. This way the weight gain would be minimal. They might come in a few standard angles like switches currently come in standard heights pretty much.
@@rtyzxcbut it will limit the switch + shape combination diversity, no? And will increase the cost of manufacturing = cost of mice.
@@Kaylas1821 Does current upright switches limit the design of mice? No, even though, all mouse buttons are angled. Making it angled just makes it better even if it's not 1:1 with the button. Once the production lines are in place, it shouldn't cost any more to mold the switch housing at slightly different shape.
I have yet to find a reviewer who loves this mouse. Surprising, since I think the shape looks cool as hell.
I just got mine in.. I haven't tested it yet but got it changing..
i do like it, its something fresh... like a superlight mini, with a way more agressive curve on those left/right buttons... feels very good to me though, always depends on hand size and your personal preference though....
@@TinoBurkhalter i like it too lol deff different but in a good way!!! i play fortnite and triple edits feel amazing on it
Ma boi got he wock pint in the back
This is like the opposite of the MZ1... engineered for looks alone. How the heck are you supposed to hold it? I don't understand.

What is the most comfortable mousepad?
Hands down its gotta be the Artisan Bofa 🤝
i see a lot of ppl on mousereview asking for a 2000s shaped mouse maybe thats why they did it idk, i dont see the appeal
Many gamers grip the mouse further forward so dirt and sweat from their wrist doesn't build up on the mousepad. The anchor point shifts from the wrist to the forearm. This shape is great for those elevated/overhang grips. I've been toying around with my pre-order copy for a couple of days now, and it definitely feels weird, but I get the sense that there's a lot of untapped potential once you build a grip that's specific to this shape
this mouse is so weird, M8
M1 + M2 should of had some grooves even if they were small. I genuinely don't like Kahil 8.0s
Father? M8? aw yeaaah!
Rocket jump ninja has changed the way Xtrify makes mice. They don't need to make new mice with lowest button height possible they need to fix the ones they already have. Make a solid shell m4 and m42 wireless without holes under 60 grams without the weight distribution system
where is the Sora review bro?
the video is 4:20 long. (SHOCKING) (BEAUTIFUL) (GENIUS)
Maybe someone that hold their mouse like Twistzz or Stewie might messed with this.
Ultra low botton height is important but this implementation is stupid.

twistzz would benefit from this
factual
Why can't they just do an M42 with no holes and lightweight the M42w at the moment makes no sense
honestly the similarity to the WMO makes it very appealing to me, if I wasn't completely enraptured by my X2 mini I'd get one

my 17x10cm hands love the shape of this mouse

y’all needa turn on post notis so you can see the absolute grind this dude is on. keep up the content 👍
it looks like a toenail
I can't help but notice you didn't talk about one of the most important factors when choosing a mouse, the DPI deviation. It could be 35 grams, wireless with the best sensor in the world running at 8k...but if you set the DPI to 1000 and it churns out some BULLSHIT like 1009 DPI instead, might as well go straight in the bin.
is that the xm2? 1:48
Its a Ninjutso Sora

what a weird mouse
Yea ok, I'd rather get the M8 (new, innovative) than the Sora (yet another egg xm1)
