This had no indications of fighting the best to be the best. It was lopez with everything to gain, nothing to lose to propel himself to superstardom by beating the p4p.

LOL. You are 100% correct. I remember at 23 being able to party all night, go home, shower and still be able go to work right away the next day.
Lopez actually does tire in the later rounds and he did so in about the 8th or 9th round of this fight. The thing is is that it’s for a short period of time. Maybe a round or two before he catches his second wind. So I agree that was a dumb game plan for Loma. Especially when you’re supposed the be the best thing since air. Loma does have great footwork but tbh his greatness is based off being a southpaw. They give 90% of boxers problems. If he was a traditional boxer he wouldn’t be half as great and his footwork would be negated.

Exactly the good thing about this is younger fighters might want to take more risks now cause they seen Lopez win. The bad thing is older fighters might not want to take the risk in fighting young skilled fighters after seeing what happened to loma

Loma underestimated Teofimo speed and gas tank. Loma sat back too long expecting Teo to make a mistake rather than forcing a mistake by throwing his hands. Teo came for war and Loma thought he was going to out smart him and gas him out

Can’t believe how many shots Teofimo landed considering Loma’s non stop head movement. He was bobbing and weaving his head the whole night and still got slapped up.
He had to open up his head because Lopez was killing him to the body earlier in the fight.
Lopez landed mostly body shots, didn't land many clean snapping shots to the head until the final rounds. Loma landed all the clean snapping head shots in the 2nd half of the fight and in round 2 which I gave to Loma because of that. Round 12 sealed it for Lopez though that was pure heart after taking a serious beating in the 11th.
Lopez landed 26%.... Definitely wasn't great.. Loma just didn't throw enough. If anything the 44% landed said enough.. dude just started late
felt like lopez just WANTED it MORE than lomachenko. he was DOMINANT, which was SHOCKING. i think MANY thought it would be the OTHER way...

That one judge that had it 119-109 (11 rounds to 1 round) 🤦🏾♂️. I had it 115-113 (7 rounds to 5 rounds).

They should’ve talked about Lopez’s great ring generalship the entire fight. I’ve never seen Loma so reluctant to move in an fight his opponent. Shows how master class a performance this was from Lopez.

You can tell a boxer has great footwork by one simple tool, the jump rope, and Teo's unbelievable at it, like a young Johnny Tapia.

I'm old enough to remember when a 36 year old Mayweather took a 23 year old Canelo to school and folks said Canelo was too inexperienced-although Canelo had more fights than Lopez did on Saturday and Loma was younger than Mayweather.

Lopez's footwork..... Keeping his lead leg outside of Loma's🤷🏿♂️
If you think about it for Loma it kind of makes sense. Loma likes to jab or throw a power shot before escaping to his right. Having his lead leg outside helped prevent that.

Lomachenko was wary of Lopez power early on, he didn’t want to engage with him while he was fresh. That’s why he didn’t do more early on.
He would have been ko'ed then. Loma was afraid of that right hand and Lopez would have landed it too had he engaged. There might have been a ko by 6, like Lopez's dad said.
He was too cautious in the earlier rounds. SHould've tried at leas tot picked it up by the 4th because he let 6 rounds go by before turning it up. If he gets rocked then so be it but giving away rounds like that just makes it harder to win. The other guys just needs to win one more round. 😂😂😂

Lopez won all 1-through-7 and the 12th round. The punching stats state that Lomachenko didn't start throwing double digits until the 8, 9, 10, and 11th rounds. But he didn't win all four rounds. They were going back and forth. Lopez still outpunched him, but due to bias and favoritism, people want to give Loma those rounds and the 3rd. The 3rd round when he threw that slick counter combo combination came late after Lopez dominated him. So that's what you call desperation round like the 8, 9, 10, and 11. Those rounds showed how desperate Lomachenko was because he came out trying to KO Lopez. He did stun Lopez but he didn't wobble him or drop him. Also, Lopez has a significant power difference! Lopez forced Loma back every time they exchanged!

In this day and age I love listening to max Kellerman. He is honest and trust me when I heard him about the decision of the fight Loma vs Lopez and he gave Lopez the win I say he's brilliant,and Stephen A is always amazing. Respect goes out to you guys. God bless.

Lomachenko faced a guy who was bigger, just as quick, really skilled, and really smart. And, lopez threw like 200 more punches. Loma just got beat, and it's true that in the lighter weight classes, you just age so much quicker.

I felt it was Lopez only 7-5. I can’t believe Lomo being the #1 pound for pound in the world would take any fight without a rematch clause.
Lol cause he thought it was in the bag. Alot of people did. He has been so dominating these past couple years that he probably got a little cocky. Something I don't say lightly because he is one of the most humble fighters but deep down he thought he was going to destory Lopez.
He did put a rematch clause in the contract initially but Lopezs team called him scared for doing so, so they took it out. No Loma didnt think this fight was a bag, he knew how difficult this fight would be but he took it anyways to prove he can beat him. Loma has taken risks his whole career and this is just an example of that.

That’s exactly how I scored it when I first watched it live. 1,3-6, 12 all Lopez unquestionably. And I felt a couple of the rounds I gave to Loma were close and could’ve gone to Lopez. On second watch, I gave Lopez 1-7 and 12. Loma took 8-11 but only 8 and 11 were really unquestionably Loma. Lopez did exactly what he needed to do. Loma started to turn it up toward the end, but Lopez kept the pressure off by letting his hands go often and with power. Great fight! Props to the young killa
I totally agree with your score card on your 2nd watch ....Andre Ward having this a draw...is about as ludicrous as the 119-109 judge...the announcers were trying to talk up Loma for anything he did....they were most likely biased for trying to add drama to the viewers as this is entertainment ultimately or they were blinded by the champion and all the hype of his supposedly technical expertise. ..
@@wilgonzales24 I agree! I think Loma is still a very skilled, very technical fighter, but the combination of Speed, Power, Skill, and IQ that Teo has was too much. I don’t think Lomachenko expected Lopez to be that quick or that smart. He really didn’t let Lomachenko do anything. I think it was more mental fatigue in the later rounds that caused Lopez to slip a little. But then he bounced back in the 12th and it was over.
It's good to watch fights without any commentary. Anyone watching the fight saw loma didn't decide to fight til the 8th round. No way he wins any of the first 7

Extremely fair analysis of everyone. It was just about boxing and performance of both fighters. Most of the other analysts go into the judges scorecards and making point that the fight was rigged or other excuses or whatever. The bottom line is for this fight is that a better boxer won the fight.

@@ave-6130 Wouldn't say outclassing if Loma looked better in his dominant rounds than Teo's. Outclassing is completely shutting him out. I thought Loma was about to get a knockdown in between rounds 10 or 11. That being said, Loma's activity cost him the early rounds. Most of Teo's effective strikes were to the body, and kept him busy with the jab. Point striking is what got Teo, those early rounds.
