2018 ESPN prospect of the year Teofimo Lopez joins Max Kellerman in studio for Episode 2 of Max on Boxing to discuss the differences between himself and Gervonta Davis, saying that Davis, and many other big names, are not “blue-chip talent.” Lopez looks back at his post-fight celebrations that have gone viral, including Fortnite dances, doing the Heisman pose with a Kyler Murray jersey and his actions after knocking out Diego Magdaleno. (8:17) Lopez says there are 3-4 ways to beat Vasiliy Lomachenko and he’s ready to fight him on April 20, but he won’t stay at 135 pounds for long to wait for him.

I look at these young fighters and the hype around them and realize how blessed I was to watch previous fighters in these lower weight classes. Marquez, Manny, Tszyu, and many more. Crawford is the exception though. That dude can compete in any era.

I’d give this guy an edge over loma not in terms of skills but in terms of size. Teófimo has a lot of power at 135 and needs to be around 140. Like I always said, the only thing loma loses to is size. Otherwise, loma beats everyone. Teo is very advance in his boxing skills compare to everyone his age group. Definitely paying attention to this guy.
