  • Growing up in Indiana, about 40 miles from Indy, this man was an idol. He didn't look like the typical athlete. R-E-G...G-I-E, Reggie, Reggie. There was nothing like the sound of Market Square Arena, and I mean all of MSA, would chant:"Reggie, Reggie. Reggie!" P.s. up yours Spike Lee

    @lordofthehouseofstormcrows8615@lordofthehouseofstormcrows8615 Жыл бұрын
    • Reggie didn't act like your typical athlete either. Remember how he would regularly come on the Bob and Tom show? "Re-ggie, Re-ggie..." over the Indy car roar they blasted during the playoffs...so great! There was nothing so great in all of life at the time than when Reggie blew up Spike Lee yet again, and the meek, helpless, "I'd give ANYTHING to be able to crawl under the scorer's table right now" look on Lee's face - priceless!

  • I was very blessed to live in indianapolis through the 80s and 90s when the Pacers were on a tear. Indeed, so fun to watch! From the theatrics and unreal shooting by Reggie, to the dirty work and blocked shots from Davis brothers, to the incredible accuracy from 7'4" Smits, they were really fun to root for. In particular was their playoff runs, which of course culminated with the excitement already there in May around the Indy 500. The Indy car sound they played during the games, very cool!

ONCE REGGIE HIT HIS PRIME HE TOOK THE PACERS TO THE PLAYOFFS EVERY YEAR FOR A LONG TIME. HE CARRIED THE TEAM ON HIS BACK AND NEVER DISAPPOINTED. IT SUCKS THAT HE NEVER WON A CHAMPIONSHIP BUT AT LEAST HE RETIRED A PACER WHICH SHOWS THE AMOUNT OF RESPECT HE HAD FOR THE TEAM AND THE STATE OF INDIANA. REGGIE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS OF ALL-TIME AND THE GREATEST PACER.

  • He was so unselfish.. only averaged less than 15 field goal attempts per game in his prime. When he was on the court with Rik Smits, the Pacers focused on making the most out of Rik because of his knees. At the end of the game or in the 4th quarter, everybody knows who's gonna shoot, but you just can't stop him. He's not like today's shooters. So unselfish. If he plays in today's league, he would definitely score a lot more than back then.

He didn’t care how his playstyle looked he just wanted to get a bucket every chance he got. It seemed like he just throw it up praying it’s goes in like steph.

  • The subtle footwork at 0:32 is beautiful to watch. Young players today can learn a LOT from watching how Reggie moves without the ball.

  • Couple years after this he had quite a few reg season game winners Running along the score table vs Boston was 1 of.em But opening with Reggie welcoming mj back was a good time Lol when the 26 -10 rebounds was shown, probably the moment Dennis Rodman was sought. Ironic in game 7 in 98 the bulls had the ball almost literally the whole 4th coz of.rebounding
