Reggie Miller, one of the most prolific 3-point shooters the game has ever seen, was known for his clutch moments late in games.

Reggie is so underrated. He's one of the absolute most consistent players in NBA history. He out ran everyone, and knew exactly how to get to his spots. He's one of the most "bad luck" guys in history too. He had to battle Jordan and that eastern conference every year, then gets to the finals and has to play Kobe and Shaq, then finally has the best team he's ever had and the Malice at the Palace happens and completely ruins that team. If they don't get suspended and broken up I truly believe the Pacers could've won the title that year. Amazing player.

Relax. We who saw him play back in the 90s never thought of him as an underrated player. When pressures up he becomes more lethal from beyond the arc. Not like some so-called "greatest volume shooter of all time" named Steph Curry who can make 10 threes in 40 mins of play and then choke out the last two attempts when its needed the most.

Underrated is the wrong word, but I think Reggie gets a lot of deserved credit for ahead of the curve on 3 point shooting and I would argue being the 90s-early 2000s Jimmy Butler. Not the automatic superstar you need to be a contender, but would always get you close just based on sheer perseverance and grit.

I got relatives in Japan, and my cousin - who is Japanese, loved Reggie Miller. He was pulling for Reggie Miller and the Pacers in the 2000 Finals only to come short. And he wanted to get Reggie Miller jersey, and I bought it and gave it to him in the visit in the following year, and I became a fan of Reggie despite growing up as a Bulls fan. He put fear in the Knicks and the Bulls fans with his iconic moments, and he is what the Pacers needed to turn the fortunes around. Even though he didn't win the title, his dedication to the Pacers and making them one of the contending teams in the league in the stretch of several seasons makes him one of the great competitors the game has ever seen.

Reggie Miller was just 1 additional legit player away from winning a title. Reggie was the Allen Iverson in the 90's, he would day in and day out take the Pacers to the playoffs by himself, scoring nearly 30+ a night to do so. MJ didn't start winning a title until he got Scottie, well Reggie Miller didn't have a Scottie, Reggie didn't have a Karl Malone, Reggie Miller didn't have a Shawn Kemp, etc. It was Reggie Miller and the Pacers, and for Reggie Miller to take MJ/Scottie to a game 7 in the WCF in 98 by himself was just amazing to see.
