My GX 470 taking on a fun whoop section, in Johnson valley, California. Speed started around 40mph, and ends at 70mph.

Tire looks like it's gona snap off the rear gate, lol. Super cool though. Are those 35"s? Think I saw something about the build on IH8MUD

Yeah the tire gate doesn't like the desert. lol

Icon? Whats the suspension setup?

After a bit of internet sleuthing, it looks like a lot of a bunch of stuff. W/ regards to the ICON comment, the shocks are KING. The major hardware is from Total Chaos, out of Corona, CA. Full specs here: autocarspec.com/insane-long-travel-lexus-gx470-off-road-project-from-sema.html ... man this thing is sweet.

@@3UZFETT Thanks for the reply! On the money. Total Chaos 3.5" long travel kit up front with King Shocks all around. 2.5" Primary shocks with secondary 2.5" Bypasses up front, along with 3.0" Rear shocks to help keep the rear in check.

did you ever find a better solution for your tire carrier?
@thatradkid4 жыл бұрын
Sadly, no. Not a ton of options for these trucks. At the end of the day, a rear mounted tire carrier probably isn't the best idea for a desert focused truck. Planning to rebuild the one I have, but remove the tire for the harder desert runs.

@@joshbackes6687 Have you taken a look at the JWOffroad ones? They look quite sturdy.
