I think Masvidal was being honest about the first fight in terms of what Usman did to hurt him. But I think Masvidal may have made a mistake by believing he broke Usman’s nose during the first fight. But what if Usman was telling the truth that he came into the fight with a broken nose? And what if Usman’s strategy during the first fight because of the broken nose was to get the win but keep it as safe as possible for himself? That may explain why Masvidal didn’t feel his punching power the first fight. It may explain why Usman was eager to fight Masvidal again, because Usman was thinking, I easily beat this guy coming into the fight with a broken nose. Im going to dominate him the next fight. Masvidal was a waiting victim and didn’t know it.

I think Masvidal was being honest about the first fight in terms of what Usman did to hurt him. But I think Masvidal may have made a mistake by believing he broke Usman’s nose during the first fight. But what if Usman was telling the truth that he came into the fight with a broken nose? And what if Usman’s strategy during the first fight because of the broken nose was to get the win but keep it as safe as possible for himself? That may explain why Masvidal didn’t feel his punching power the first fight. It may explain why Usman was eager to fight Masvidal again, because Usman was thinking, I easily beat this guy coming into the fight with a broken nose. Im going to dominate him the next fight. Masvidal was a waiting victim and didn’t know it.
I kinda like Masvidal better, but yeah Usman is definitely the better fighter. That KO sent Masvidal into permanent irrelevancy, just like his knee did to Askren lmao. Meanwhile Usman gets KOed by Edwards and they're going to run it back immediately. Even if Usman loses again, I don't think he's going to fade out of the scene like they did.
