This would have some great potential. I really liked the Ad read. Great skitch, looked like a lot of fun to try and make it seem grounded. Though how did you smoothly cut off the hand to make it seem like it was on the ground? Did you copy it and sketch it individually else where and place it or was it something else?
(I've only watched Joel Haver's guide (never tried myself) BUT) I think you just... draw a severed hand, with whatever background you want. From there, the AI draws frames based on the "example" drawing you gave it. So, I assume it's smart enough to know "his wrist is animated" and "his elbow is invisible"
I drew over every part of my body except my hand, and I drew the wrist like it ended at the sleeve. I then drew just the hand, and rendered it separately and layered it on top. When the hand gets cut off, I switch to an animation I made of my hand flopping down, where I only drew the hand to the wrist, and I replace the other hand layer with it right when it's cut off.

Third viewing, and I realized Jake is so bad at every other aspect of Jedi-dom that he somehow managed to sever the hand HOLDING THE SABER directly at the wrist without dropping the hilt or disengaging the blade. He's so incompetent he defied physics and solid matter. He's perfect.

Unironically I wish force users were more like this; hyper-specialized in specific things about the force and having weird powers, rather then all being generalists who can do almost everything the force is capable of that isn't called lightning.
In the old canon, Yarael Poof actually acted just like this, being an immensely powerful illusionist and mind trick expert who didn't really bothered with anything else.
