    • Wow. That sounds like a very ineffective way to kill someone. Instead of flicking your wrist to slash them with a laser blade, you'd have to swing your entire arm around and hope the other end doesn't keep going round. And don't even think about cutting through a door or holding someone at blade-point.

    • Fun fact: Dual phase lightsabers actually have an option to shorten the blade for precision cutting or lengthen the blade for combat depending on how you built it. So technically those little sabers are canon.
