I am sure people are wondering why "underrated". That's because originally the Pulsefire received poor reviews because of a number of issues and the fact the other HyperX peripherals are $$$$ (Elite keyboard!). Now the problems have been fixed, stock at retailers has been replaced w/ new version and this mouse can typically be found between $55 and $70. :) :)
HardwareCanucks hurray for more hyperx reviews!
It's too heavy for a wired mouse.
I remember when 100 grams was lightweight.
Between 55 and 70 USD,why this kind of prising ? Isn't the price set for this?
The Beast - You haven't bought that many things have you? Must be quite young. Retailers can charge whatever they want for a product and they do.
When a $70 mouse would have all the bells and whistles, now a $70 basic mouse is _well rounded package_
What are all the bells and whistles? RGB and lots of buttons are about it.
With the rise of ESports, pro players want simpler mouse designs and a safe shape so that nothing could bother them during matches
Its a gaming mouse for a reason its not for pro use ... maybe gaming pro use
meanwhile, G502 still chugging alone half a decade later with a trillion buttons and the best (rusted) scroll wheel.
Ali0The0King pretty sure thats what he was talking about
I have been using the HyperX Pulsefire Surge for about 2 years now and I can confirm this is a really good mouse. It is very comfortable for long hours of gaming and has no issues with grip at all. I would go as far as to say that it is one of the best mice I have ever owned and used in my life. I think anyone would love to just to feel how the mouse performs rather than to read but this is my comment on this mouse.
The best mouse I've ever tested.

This channel is actually so underrated, thanks for another great vid boys!
Love the Spintires wallpaper on the pc in the background.(definitely an awesome game)
I have had this mouse since November 2019. It feels good in my hand and I use a relaxed palm grip. It's built with quality and it's solid. Even now it still feels good 5 months later. Very underrated mouse and it looks good too! I got it on sale at Amazon for like 34 bucks.
I got it renewed for $30. I know renewed can be risky sometimes, but if anything goes wrong, amazon is always great with they're return policy's.
Just picked one up at PAX West for $35. I'm so ready get this thing home to start gaming!
I bought this from eBay UK with £38 pounds and I like it a lot. This mouse is perfect for me and I won't change it anytime soon
I just got it for 40 from Bestbuy. Love it so much! my friend gave me Logitech G502. was ok but when I play League its too heavy to be fast and precise. Pulsefire is much lighter. Love the color customization, its insanely cool. Plus it looks perfect next to my HyperX Alloy FPS RGB.
Hey it still good now??
I still use the PulseFire FPS and its so damn good, HyperX is doing a good job with every peripheral they did so far.
Is still working in 2021 ?
@@emadgouda9256 I had mine for 3 years and now its stopped working, it started surging power from the usb
I really want Corsair to make an epic wireless version of the m65 Pro. I love metal over plastic.
So you want a brick? If I may as why? Have use used a properly lightweight mouse for a couple of weeks?
I'd like to see that too. M65 Pro is quite nice.
Elliot Kaufman because it’s personal preference jack ass
I tried a hyperX mouse when they introduced the pulse fire FPS. I find that the grips on the side were way too slippery. I ended up using hockey tape to get a better grip but ended up going back to my Zowie ZA12. i still love your videos though
Been using the Pulsefire Surge for a couple months now, its been nothing short of awesome. Zero issues or hiccups.
Gotta love the auto captions - "...here with Hard Working Axe..."
God i love the Lian Li pc - 011. I could tell it was that case just from the thumbnail lol
Good eyes!
HardwareCanucks thanks! I’ve been planning on building my PC in that case since it was announced so I always get excited when i see other people using it :)
PC 011 has been out for a good few years now
@@olisingapore9908 He meant the new Dynamic one.
I think hyperX peripherals are not overhyped but unnecessarily expensive that’s just my opinion. You can get Corsair peripherals for pretty cheap $30 for the Corsair harpoon which has rgb and looks and performs great 👍
Yup you can get a great wireless mouse from Logitech for cheaper than what they charge for this.
Steadfast Whiplash if u want gaming and cheap, shouldn’t be looking at wireless.
HyperX Cloud series Headsets are incredible value though.
Yup if you want wireless, you have to buy expensive products (Logitech G903, Wireless G Pro, G703, G305)
@@alexkwan3 Logitech have a gaming wireless mouse for 60$ that is light and faster than many wired.
Saw this at best buy the other day. I went with the Corsair Glaive but i may go back and grab one of these to try out too! I love my Glaive! But I’m a bit of a mouse snob. I have too many of them lol
I just used this mouse yesterday and it feels VERY light. Pulsefire core was my previous mouse and using Surge.. OH BOY. What a game changer imo
Amazing quality!
Of course!! I would definitely buy it if I am looking for one
I have the g pro, razer DA elite and this hyper X mouse, and this is my favorite, the G Pro in second place, the 3 are great for FPS, but the quality in your hand feels much more with the hyper X, After using the surge, the deathadder feels a bit cheap
Same man
why 3 mice
Hey I'm planning on buying a new mouse and deciding between Logitech g403 and this one (noticed that u have used both of these) I wanna know whether the g403 has the same hard click like the surge and also which one is bigger and has a better grip ... Would be very helpful if u would let me know in the reply
G102/G203/G Pro are the only one's that fits my hands
I switched from Sharkoon M50 to Logitech G603 mainly because of the cable. The cable on the M50 was constantly getting stuck behind the table on other cables and when I tried to make the cable shorter by looping it so it wouldn't get stuck on cables behind the table now it was getting stuck to the table itself which was really frustrating. I had to literally pull the cable towards myself every 10 minutes or so. You can imaging how frustrating that was. I switched to the G603 because it was wireless but also offered a huge battery life (500 hours on power saving mode, or 150h on performance). The only minor problem with the G603 that I have is the weight balance. With 2 batteries the mouse is just too heavy when lifting and causes wrist pain after an hour. That's why I use one battery but there is a noticeable weight center change to whatever side I put the battery on. It's only a minor problem because after 2 weeks I'm almost entirely used to it. Since there is no cable nothing get's stuck anywhere and boi can I freely move my mouse around the table. It's like heaven for my wrist now.
Which one is perfet plz? redragon k568 aula f2088h Hyper x plus fire fbs pro or logtic g40
The cable is the main reason to switch to wireless. Some cables are worse than others, but all will create some level of inconsistency in your mouse movements, as well as drag on the mouse pad if you don't use a bungee. This is why mice like the g pro wireless are so exciting. They give you all the benefits of wired mice without the cable.
Can you make a review checking out the OMEN 800 head set is a awesome, I think 🤔 is a great choice as a gaming head set and it has a killer mic. With DTX Certificate
Nice review, Eber
@HardwareCanucks pls review the Finalmouse Ultralight Phantom, they say its the greatest wired esport mouse ever
I recently bought the ROG Gladius II Origin, because I used to have the OG Gladius and beat the snot out of it, best mouse I have had in a long while - so a newer model with RGB, yes please. Also, it syncs real nice with my PC there is inside a special active cooled closed closet, so by looking at the mouse I know what the temperature of the rig is. Green for below 55 yellow for below 75 and i have yet to see it become red even its heavily overclocked. a massive success
I just upgraded to a Logitech G403 from a G500 I had for 8 years. While they're similar, the G500 felt a bit more "quality" with the plastics used, and perhaps a touch more weight. I got the 403 since it was more subdued and similar in design, which this Hyper X mouse looks nearly identical. I much prefer the Hyper X's use of RGB lighting, as I think the G403 is a bit vanilla. However, not sure if I'll make the jump to this any time soon. Also, wired for life, unless I can get "wired wireless" with 1+ year battery life haha.
my first mouse was the razer overwatch and its so similar to the one u reviewed but RGB and DPI is diffrent
There were a lot of factors that made me switch to wireless, the biggest two were because it was finally good enough to compete with wired and I have a bum shoulder (torn ligament required major surgery) so the less pull the mouse has on me the better.
The RGB looks cool
Weird that the drop down menus didn't show up. What recording software do you use?
About the mouse switch, if you play at a competitive lvl your sensitivity need to be consistent and the cable can play a huge role in a good or bad aim. So no wire = consistent aim = better performance.
I like wireless for competitive FPS but nothing has been able to match my G502 Proteus Spec. . . I love that thing.
Very good Video. Thank you for review
So about 6 months ago I got this mouse for 50 dollars and I have to say that it is a great mouse and I highly recommend it
There is 5 different DPI settings but there is 3 by default, you can change it in the software.
Great video!
Having trouble deciding between a new mouse. Looking at steelseries 300. 310. And 600. I have rather big hands as well. Looking for any input I would much appreciate it
Please review budget mice with good sensors. For example the F300 By Hariliy
I would recommend getting mice that are certified refurbished, like my rival 700, the certified refurbished was half the original price
Yes but if there's not a huge difference between the budget and the expensive then might as well get a new budget mouse that had 80-90% of the performance. I haven't had much experience with higher end mice to compare so that is where KZhead comes in. I would love to know how they both (high-end vs mid-range) compare.
thanks for the wonderful review, today i bought it for 40 usd from amazon
hello Ibra ! nice video and i have this mouse right now and love it !.
this is cool, but I'm pretty sure at this point my corsair m65rgb is cheaper, has a better sensor, more buttons, and is still rgb
The cable kink factor is definitely an issue for me. The Logitech g502 has been rated as a top gaming mouse for years, but I gave mine the flick after 12 months because the cable was kinked to hell. This also answers your second question - it pushed me into a wireless set up and I've not looked back. Logitech's wireless mice are great, however there are some real lemons out there from companies like Razer. Still, it's an option to get a no compromise quality wireless gaming mouse now that didn't exist a few years ago.
I'm looking for a mouse where button 4 and 5 are placed closer the BOTTOM of the side wall, not near the top (like this HyperX mouse). Any suggestions please?
can you review the 1more quad driver earphone or the triple driver one
The cables never really bothered me on my mouse, I switched to the g900 because the body was a better shape for me.
yup i do think about getting a wireless mouse since the cable looks not really nice on my table although i already cut a hole for it in it...
Very good review 👍
Biggest issue was the right and left click hitting each other. Now they've fixed that. However for the size the mouse is far far too heavy.
Great mouse BUT myy biggest gripe about this mouse is the Ngenuity software does not maintain your rgb effect after you restart or close the application, you literally have to go the program and select your profile everytime...
Great video. Is happy and will stick with my Logitech G203 mouse.
Do a review on the amazon gaming mouse
Great review dopinder
I have a wired mouse (Logitech G203) and my cable is not annoying at all. I never notice the cable while playing. (only wish there was an even smaller gaming mouse than the G203 as i have really small hands but its fine :D) And also...this might sound stupid, but I am worried about the electromagnetic radiation of wireless products.
Ready to grab some popcorn
It is sold at $49 where I live. Im loving this mouse
38$ here, totally worth it!
I switched to wireless to have fewer wires on my desk and to also make taking my daily driver with me to class a little bit easier. Went with the Corsair Dark Core, and I will never go back. Wireless is the future. Now if only Logitech would release a wireless G502...
Thanks to Rocket Jump Ninja’s mouse review the buttons were corrected.
This mouse had clicking issues at launch. However, the company addressed the flaws, and improved them. I own the corrected version, and I must say... its worth every penny. Mind you, i'm very picky with gaming mice.
So is this a good starter mouse for new pc users like me
can you guys make a 10 hour version of that intro please
Underrated for sure, I have the hyperx pulsfire fps wich is the almost the same as surge physical appearance wise just without rgb. Got it for 50 euro wich is roughly 60 usd. Still worth it even tho US prices are still the cheapest.
I bought a g403 wireless 2 months ago, there's no competition to that mouse, shape is perfect, size is perfect, sensor is perfect, buttons are perfect, w/o rgb you get 34h of usage and if you need to charge you just plug it and use as a wired mouse, weight is also not uncomfortable even though it's a 108g mouse, but because it's wireless you feel so much freedom that you feel like it's actually lighter than any other mice, aiming with it on csgo, siege, bf, cod and every fps game that I've played it's so easyy!
I have a wired mouse and I don't have any issues with it. All I want in a mouse is a minimalist design, two thumb buttons and reliability without spending a fortune. My current mouse is a gigabyte xm300 which cost £30. Sometimes it doesn't register clicks, maybe 2 or 3 incidents a month during gaming use. However, I can't find anything else that's as ergonomic as this and reasonably priced...
For gaming which mouses do You guys reccomend the Logitech g203 or the HyperX mouse reviewd
last year people kept talking about the Mionix Castor. It seems there is always a new Best new mouse or keyboard or...
I have one and it’s good from my experience :D
I'm not a low dpi gamer, so for me the cable doesn't really interfere with "flicking" or other bs. Lift-off distance isn't important to me because I never lift off. I actually prefer my wired mouse over my wireless. After years of playing with the cable you get used to the feel, so switching to wireless feels super weird to me.
You wanna know what the most underrated gaming mouse is? Dmitry already covered that! It's the Sharkoon Shark Force. I picked it up for just over TEN BUCKS (second hand, but in perfect condition) on Amazon and everything about it far exceeds expectation. I've had Razer mice and Logitech mice in the past, which were great, and this is on par with them in performance (you cannot spin this sensor out, even if you try), ergonomics and build quality.
For me wireless because of my new ryzen build that I use in the living room on my 65" Sony 4k tv
yaiks ig
Wireless mice for me. Never gonna go back. G703 for life! Probs gonna pick up the Pro in the future..
This mouse looks interesting, lots of software options, which is lacking in many mice that other people in the comments are suggesting. Personally, I don't see why anyone is complaining, it's an enthusiast mouse, it's not a budget mouse. Thats pretty easy to see, I could be tempted if the mouse is large enough for my hands. I haven't switched to a wireless setup, and don't plan to. As far as a keyboard/mouse are concerned, and even headphones, I don't want to possibly run out of battery, it's a problem I've had before, and I dont want to deal with it agian. Although with headphones there is also the concern of quality loss with a wireless setup.
I would've got the mouse if it was lighter. So i'm choosing either the g403, g305, or the Rival 600
Kinks and issues with my cable on my g502 is making want to go to wireless and now I have the g903 in my sights
If hyperx made this wireless or have a better cord and make it a lil lighter that would be beautiful.
Bro can you show your PC which you use, i think you have lian li pc o11 black
Ibra, if you have some time, and a bit of spare cash, you should give the redragon keyboards and mice a try! High quality products, for dirt cheap. Im rockin a redragon Andromeda keyboard, and its awesome, and i bought it for like 50€, and a week ago i also ordered a redragon m715 dagger mouse, and im yet to receive that, but i doubt its going to be bad. Pixart 3325 sensor, good lightning, good shape and grip by the looks and it cost like 24€
Part of me prefers wired mice for 0 latency, but on the other hand it's much nicer to be wireless.. a lot of times i get my cable stuck thus locking my smooth move of the mouse
did he ask if the loss of a cable would be a primary reason for choosing a wireless mouse???....
yes he did......
@@GhillyOP I came to the comments for this. It's the most retarded question I've heard.
Lmao
Ikr.. like bro, it's called wire"less" for a fuckin reason
is it good for csgo ? i mean you know, does this one can last long against double clicking issue ?
4:06 Yes Eber, I DO think the cable is the main reason people switch from wired to wireless...
Seems like a good mouse but 70 dollars is too much for what it offers.
It may not have a bunch of bells and whistles, but it has a few well implemented ones. This mouse was made to be cool and well executed
Agreed, I dig the mouse, and it's toned down exterior. The software looks easy to use, and intuitive. It doesn't try to be an over designed heap of plastic.
One of a top sensor on market , with 16k dpi for 70$ this is expensive for u, u are dumb.
HEADSH0T I agree a bit, just that DPI amount doesn’t matter, user experience and IPS matters more. But really most mice at $70 now trade features on the outside for amazing internals. I prefer better specs over more features.
@@pewpew2321 I say one more time, this mouse have sensor(PMW 3389) that don't have 100$ mice
IS THE FORWARD AND BACK BUTTON PROGRAMABLE???
i think yes. You have to use their Ngeunity program. can be a little confusing at first since you have create/customize a "profile" first then set this profile to one of the three switchable mode/sets.
This mouse could come wireless about 90g weight and beasty sensor, would buy it straight away! Hate "shaped mouses" and cant really swipe straight from left to right with those...
Did I miss something, or did you not mention anything about lift height adjustments or lack there of? That is one of the more critical points of a gaming mouse for some/many gamers.
The wireless G305 at $60 is probably the best bang for your buck IMO. Although I'm cheap and I've been quite happy with my wired G203 for $23.
G 500s
So if I go to Walmart right now, I would be buying an improved version of this mouse?
Hardware Canucks please review the Skyreach 4 MINI PC case made by NFC.
The Logitech g305 costs $35 and the g403 $45 in my country, what i should pick?
Well I bought aaaaand it's not so amazing. The shape is kinda uncomfortable for me, it's too bumpy I might say and that bump is in the middle of my hand. Dunno if I can return it...
Is it good for small/medium hands
