  • For those wondering, it doesn't look like the rogue wolf is unhealthy. In fact, she looks to be in very good condition, just dirty. She's nimble, strong, and a worthy adversary; even if this pack wanted her dead, they would have a difficult time, and they know their energy is better spent elsewhere. They are focused on protecting the pups. Her fur has tufts sticking out when she arrives, but the same goes for the other wolves. It looks like they're shedding winter coats for spring. It's very normal.

    @caitolent@caitolent3 жыл бұрын
    • Why did she attack them then? Sorry, I don’t know much about wolves, so forgive my lack of understanding. If she’s so strong and capable, shouldn’t she be part of the pack? Did she do something to get thrown out?

The only thing they understood was she was an outsider and likely an ex-alpha female. Very likely she was in this pack, but was cut out by the group but still very dangerous. They didn't kill her because they were afraid of dying or injury themselves over a pointless fight. Defend cubs and let her go. That's it.

  • Blackspot was highly unappreciated. Not only was BlackSpot an outsider,, she is the only wolf besides Snow White that was allowed into the den AND nursed the pups as well. Sadly whenever the pack would go on hunting trips, BlackSpot was never given a scrap of food. In her last days she barely had the energy to stand up due to starvation. She then perished in the den and the whole pack had to leave the area as the bacteria and disease would be troublesome for the pups. For those of you who do not know, there is a documentary where this clip was taken. Called "White Wolves". It's unlike any documentary you've seen. It's absolutely incredible yet heartbreaking

    • Gewitterlaut There IS an alpha in a pack. Alpha's are the 'breeding pair'. Why do you think young wolves leave the pack? To make a pack of their own. If there wasn't an alpha, the pack would be lost and wouldn't be able to agree on anything, and fights would be constant. But the Alpha's keep everything in check.

  • This is amazing. Seeing how the wolves work together is just so interesting. At the start, you can see one of the wolves with their tail in between their legs, but as their pack mates help, then they start to feel more confident. Blackspot was very smart and should get more credit. Blackspot put her/his whole body into the hole to block it so the intruder couldn’t get in. But yeah, this must’ve been a former packmate.
