I’ve been a cabinet and furniture maker for a long time and thought I had skills. Then I started watching your videos. You can sure teach an old man new tricks. I’ve always loved mortise and tenon and timber frame work, but sir you do it at such a higher level I sure would love to come to Canada and spend a week with you. Haven’t been to school in almost 50 years

I hope to someday incorporate mortise and tenon system in my wood works. I make furniture and stuff out of old reclaimed wood. I used to work for a company deconstructing barns in Ohio and Michigan. I was amazed how the people in the those days built these barns with just mortise and tenon and after over 100 years these joints were still as tight as can be and we couldn't pull them apart! Really fascinating! This is when I began my interest in making things out of old reclaimed wood!

Great work and wonderfully finished frame but as far as I could see from the video (unless i missed it)this is not draw boring. The holes in the mortice and tenonare purposely misaligned by a few mm and the dowels are tapered on one side only ,thus drawing the 2 parts of the joint tight together.

Or, she used it a center piece of a display beside the stairs, to show off to her friends where all the beautiful wood furniture comes from? Wait a minute.!!! There it is on the table.!???
