THANK YOU! For a quick, concise review actually showing the camera in use.
Thank you so much for the nice comment, I'm glad the video has been helpful :)
Thank you for a very nice and thorough dive in to the settings.
Thank you buddy. really appreciate you checking out the video and taking the time to comment.
this type of review is what i like so fast, so clear, so good
Thank you buddy :) I'm glad you've enjoyed the video and we want to wish you the very best :)
This is the validity that I needed. Just picked this bad boy up on clearance at my job, so originally it was $150, got it for $40
$40 is an awesome price for this, you've got yourself a bargain there. I've seen a few people say that they've managed to snap the USB C port off so just be a bit careful if you have to keep plugging and unplugging it.

@@Andyhhhdx you do a great job reviewing cameras and hit on features and settings that are important to me. Specifically, auto focus and close ups. I routinely hold up printed material to my camera during streams, some cameras do a far better job of focusing and refocusing than others. While logitech will provide a nice close up, as you have noted, the autofocus takes some time, which I find annoying. The creative labs V2 does a fine job auto focusing, but I haven't figured out to get it to focus on things closer than 8-10 inches as you reported. Is there a way to adjust this? Finally, and I will watch and like your videos to see if you have already done this, can you recommend a camera that does a great job of focusing on printed material and quickly refocusing on the presenter?
@@pegraves Hello Peter. Thank you so much for checking out the reviews, I really do appreciate it. I've just double checked the Creative Live Cam Sync V2 review we made and it doesn't focus well when close up (I didn't think it did). Was it definitely that webcam or was it a different one? For the faster focus then it will be a more premium webcam to be able to do that from what i've tested so far. We have done some reviews on the Anker Powerconf 300 and the 302 which may be what you're looking for. The Powerconf 300 is cheaper and can do 60fps whereas the more expensive 302 can only do 30. Here is a link to that review - kzhead.info/sun/psiIkZeooGiig4U/bejne.html I've actually still got the Powerconf 302 here at the moment and i'm planning on some live streams. Would you like me to bring it onto a live stream and I can show you it in action and we can do a live test of the focus on it? Let me know :)
@@Andyhhhdx That would be awesome, yes I'd love to attend your live stream. Let me know when your next one will be and I'll make every effort to attend! I'll check out the powerconf 300 review in the meantime.

Another informative review. Great cam Andy, shame about price! one day there will be a good one in the budget range :)
Thank you Wolfie as always :) Yeah we're still on the quest for that budget webcam that produces an amazing picture and audio. I think the Creative Live! Cam and the Nexigo one we reviewed previous is the closest we've got so far. Hopefully there will be a price drop on this one over the coming months, especially with the Elgato Facecam being out now.
@@Andyhhhdx Interesting that you could adjust the near focus in the settings. I havent seen that before.

Is it possible to adjust the zoom during auto-framing? it zooms in super close
Hello Kurt, I hope you're well buddy. I believe you can adjust the zoom but you will need to install the Logitech Capture software, go to the auto framing option and manually configure it yourself. If you select it on auto then it will just do its own thing and get quite close to you. I hope this helps.
My Macbook Pro 2021 Facetime 1080p camera distorts my face. My left nostril is lengthened and my teeth distorted. More lighting helps but not enough. Will this Logitech webcam do a better job?
Hello buddy. I've just got the picture in my head now of nostril and teeth :-) i'm pretty certain that this webcam would resolve that issue. I've not used the MacBook you've got so i'm unsure about the inbuilt webcam. I'm quite confident a stand alone webcam would have you sorted.
I purchased this camera. But I ended up finding a limitation that's an obvious letdown. With the default settings, the video appears to be zoomed in. So I downloaded the Logi Capture app and adjusted resolution and frame rate which somehow helped zoom out the video. However, the settings aren't persisted on the camera, so everytime I want to use the camera in Zoom, Google Meet, etc, I have to launch Logi Capture so that the settings are applied to the camera. This is extremely annoying and something I didn't expect for this model given its price and specifications. I contacted the support team regarding this issue, but the mentioned that it's not possible to apply the "zoomed out" settings without launching the Logi Capture app! Is anybody aware of any workaround for this?
Hello Akshay. Sorry to hear about the issue you're having with your Streamcam. There's a couple of things that I would try. I'm not sure if it will sort it, but it's worth an attempt. You could try installing OBS, adding your Logitech Streamcam and then try using it as a virtual cam for your Zoom and Google Meet. Here is a video we created on using LUTS in OBS but it shows you how to put your webcam into OBS and enable virtual cam if you've never used OBS before - kzhead.info/sun/m7Gke9eZgKaraI0/bejne.html If you have a Stream Deck, then you could also try this method where you put an app on your Stream Deck and it allows you to save your webcam settings, so you press a button on your Stream Deck and it puts all the settings that you've configured onto your webcam - kzhead.info/sun/eN2oepGSqXibkoE/bejne.html Let us know if any of these helped you at all.
@@Andyhhhdx Hey, thanks for the detailed info and pointers. Actually, I was able to workaround this problem by simply replacing the Logi Capture app with the Logi Tune app. The latter manages to start automatically every time I reboot my Mac and stays in the top status bar (I believe that's how it persists/loads the settings once done). Thanks again!
@@akshaymaldhure Thank you for your response. I'm glad you've managed to get it sorted.

05:26 - Does this mean that you cannot use the webcam for streaming in OBS/streamlabs if you use it through the logitech capture software to apply settings? EDIT: Also can you rotate the camera left/right while using the clip on mount used to mount it on a monitor? I have an ultrawide monitor and i would like to have the cam on the lefthand side of my monitor pointing slightly to the right, so that im in frame.
Hello there, I hope you're well :) You can set it up in the Logitech Capture software and then use it as a virtual cam in OBS so whatever settings you do in the capture software will be pulled over. I did find that it was laggy when doing this though so if you're going to use OBS then I would just set it up in there and manually configure the settings in there. Yes you can turn the webcam in the mount too so you should be fine if you need to mount it onto the left side of your monitor. I hope this helps :)
@@Andyhhhdx thank you! But yes, i did mean that its quite unuseable in OBS if its that laggy. So yeah i will have to see if manually fixing the settings through either my steamdeck or something will be the fix instead.
@@bonnie_rabbit749 Yes if you're using the capture software as well as OBS then it will be frustrating with the lag. If you just drop the camera in OBS as a video capture source then you can bypass using the capture software completely and there isn't any lag.
@@Andyhhhdx oh i just remembered one more question if you dont mind! It has a USB type C cable. But do you know if it would work with a type C to type A adapter? I dont have any type C slots available in my monitors USB hub, and it would be far less messy with cables if i didnt have to route it all the way to my PC.
@@bonnie_rabbit749 You can put a USB C to USB A converter on it, i've seen people having issues though with the slower speed converters and it limiting the frame rate to 30 fps rather than 60 fps.
Exactly the video I was looking for! I've had this camera long as this video has been out, but I've just recently purchased a green screen.

Hey, anyone know if this webcam comes with an option to blur the background without a greenscreen like the Elgato Facecam does? Thanks
Hello buddy :) If you're an OBS user then there is a plugin you can install which can blur the background. It's not 100% perfect but it may be good enough for what you need. There is a video from another creator here to help - kzhead.info/sun/dc98eJyOpGuKhGw/bejne.html

right how do i fix my webcam for whatever reason it only goes up to 30fps its plugged into USB-C 3.2 gen2 port and it still dosnt work and is limited to 30fps
Hello buddy, I hope you're well :) The first thing I would try is plugging it into someone else's computer to see if the problem still occurs on their system so we can figure out if it's actually an issue with the webcam itself. On your own computer then I would look for updated chipset drivers for your motherboard as it may possibly be using the inbuilt Windows drivers which won't give you the performance you would get with the proper drivers from the manufacturer. Are you trying the webcam in OBS? If not, what software are you using it in?
@@Andyhhhdx tried it on OBS Microsoft Camera the logitech Ghub and there camera software and all where stuck at 30fps. I did try on another computer and that one got 60fps so in that case I'll try updating the bios and chipset update at some point. Thanks for the advice.
@@Arrow8D At least you know it's not a faulty webcam if you're getting the 60fps on another computer. Yeah give those updates a try and hopefully that will get you sorted :)
@@Andyhhhdx unfortunitly that Didnt work I tried both bios update and chipset update neather worked last resort is contacting logitech themselfs.
@@Arrow8D Sorry to hear that, hopefully Logitech will have some answers for you.
In my case, when I set the framerate to 60FPS, the video looks a lot darker :( Is it normal ?
Hello there M12 :) I can't recall noticing that when we did the tests on it. Do you use it on OBS? It might be worth jumping into the webcam settings on that if you do and untick the auto exposure and have a play with the slider and play with the brightness and gain too to see if you can get it to look better.
Late to the party. Yes this is normal. Twice the frame rate = half the exposure time. So you need more light to get the same exposure. And the longest possible shutter time because half as long. 60fps should work fine in natural sunlight. But in streaming setups and dark rooms add a light next to your webcam.
Will it affect the performance if you use a USB A Adapter since this is a usb c to usb c?
Hello Fred. I hope you're well buddy. I believe it will be fine as long as your converter is usb c to usb a 3.1. You may get away with 3.0 too but you may get limited to 30 frames per second so try and get a 3.1 if you can.

Why does 60 FPS not work properly? A lot of frames were duplicated. Is it a hardware issue with the camera or something else?
Hello there Qwe Asd, could you send me the timestamps please of where you are watching in the video, please? It seems that the MJPG gives you the full 60FPS and the other formats seem to be slightly lower. Also, lighting will play a big factor in the frame rate.
@@Andyhhhdx around 1:58 when you wave your hands some frames are duplicated, if you go frame by frame forward you can see that every 4-5th frame is repeat of the previous frame

How do you get rid of the grain
Helloo Kamkek, I hope you're well buddy. If you're experiencing a lot of grain then chances are you may need more external lighting to get it removed. I would also have a play around with the exposure on the webcam and if you're using OBS, you should be able to go into the webcam settings in there and just check out the "gain" setting. You ideally want this lower if possible but it will darken the image.
@@Andyhhhdx I have two elgato key light airs
@@AquaTidez ahhh ok. Are you experiencing the grain on your face or more in the background of your image?
@@Andyhhhdx background. I’m only using light from the streaming lights. Do I need to turn on the room light to illuminate the whole room?
@@AquaTidez You can try turning on the room light and seeing how it looks. You could also try having the one key light directly in front of you and the other behind you but slightly higher up so it's out of the shot of your camera and have in pointing downwards at you but also at a slight angle. What this should do is help you stand out from the background but also delivering some light to the background which should hopefully remove some of the grain.
