Get a girlfriend. Caic tarbh
Good video. When was this one filmed?
I love how the first officer looks like the captain and the captain looks like the first officer. The reason that is is because the captain is not wearing a suit unlike the first officer. I have some suspicion to believe that the captain may be flirting with the first officer. According to Kelsey from 74 year, pilots usually play that game of takeoff more clothes in hopes that a girl will want to become his girlfriend.
Overall, which do you trust more, Boeing or Airbus aircraft?
True story.. I worked with an Irish guy back in the 90s, he was flying home for a holiday, though quite a nervous flier. He used Air Lingus to travel and halfway through the flight he was superstore hear an announcement asking for him personally to report to the crew. He was taken to the cockpit and saw his brother flying the plane. He said “I thought it was you Gerry from the passenger list” Gerry’s genuine reply was “keep ya eyes on the road”
haha cool
🤣
“Keep ya eyes on the road” that made me chuckle haha, great comment
Oh the days before 9/11 sad the way things are now.
his brother was a pilot and he was still nervous lol
I like how keen the FO is to demonstrate what they're doing, as if she is instructing. It adds a huge amount to the film.
Ya sometimes you get luck filming pilots who are really into it and you can bring the viewers some good stuff.
@@justplanes : And she had a check pilot sitting behind her. You want to get everything right.
@@celticlofts It was a relief pilot. DUB to SFO is a longhaul flight. They need to rest, hence the relief pilot. The relief pilot is there during takeoff and landing, monitoring both of the other pilots. I'm sure you didn't mean it, but it sounded a bit like she needed an additional pilot to keep an eye on her, which isn't the case. Fiona is a fully qualified and very experienced First Officer.
@@celticlofts He was a captain.
Love this crew. They set a gold standard in "cockpit resource management" or, more colloquially: amazing teamwork.
Couldn't have put it better databong - absolutely professional!
Remember - every First Officer is a Captain-in-Training.
Fiona is hot!
Indeed, CRM excellent!
Glad fiona is flying again...she's an absolute legend
Tops with her flaps
As a low-time GA pilot and 50-year aviation enthusiast, I’m happy to report this was the absolute best of the many gate-to-flight-levels videos I’ve had the pleasure to watch. Only a very few points where I was not quite able to follow in the moment, which gave me an excellent sense of progress in my learning journey. So much more enjoyable to “visit” the flight deck with you fine professionals than to sit in the economy cabin wishing I were farther forward. Thank you so much for inviting us along!
It's a pleasure to watch Owen & Fiona work together. Such professionalism; friendly and polite too! Superb!
I've flown multiple times with Aer Lingus but had no knowledge of the meticulousness of their prep. As a passenger it certainly inspires confidence in the airline.
I was lucky enough to meet the pilots of an A320 from London Gatwick into Dublin on New Years Eve (2021 into 2022). Only 16 of us onboard at about ten at night. I asked the cabin crew if I could meet them, and they said no. But I think the captain must of overheard and he dragged me into the flight deck haha. It was a privilege to have a chat with both pilots before we departed, they really knew their stuff. They even made a PA announcement at cruise which was aimed at me, cos they knew I was heavily into flight sim and gave some detailed info on the departure, and I knew it was for me. But yeah, I really do have a lot of confidence with Aer Lingus too. Very professional airline.
That’s all standard procedure for any airline pilot.
Aer Lingus and Ryanair have a fantastic safely history. I'd always feel safe on either.
This is one of the BEST take off I see ever. So nice and so RELAX and SKIIL co.polite and first officer. Specially thanks for GREAT JP CHANEL Fantastic job
You are very welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video!!
I really enjoyed this video, and especially appreciated how the commander and first officer worked together.
Another excellent video of the fantastic team of Captain Owen and First Officer Fiona taking the lovely St Mella (now I think sadly retired) to SFO. Their professionalism and teamwork are top notch (and shout-out also to Captain Kevin in the jumpseat). I could listen to their preflight briefings all day long, they are so good!
I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve watched this. Fantastic.
What a smooth oiled machine this crew is right on time, it would be a honor to be a passenger on their flight.
I absolutely love this crew...definitely my favourite videos to watch on this channel.
Fantastic guys , only the Irish can convey such confidence and friendly demeanour:)
Go raibh maith agat, a chara.
Great advert for Air Lingus - never flown with them, but after that I think I'd like to.
Very nice Simon and you should def give them a try. Great crews!
Yes. I do wonder why some companies say no to JustPlane's request. Does seem like good marketing.
A330’s are wonderful aircraft. What a superb pre flight check, really easy to understand and very nicely conveyed. To be sure!
I love this crew! They are amazing to watch.
Captain Owen and Officer Fiona are probably my favorites on this channel, they are so professional and seem really nice
I became aware of Just Planes earlier today - when I saw this Aer Lingus crew take off from San Francisco. And now I have seen them take off to SF from Dublin. Ultra professional. Fantastic to watch.
Brilliant takeoff. That engine sound on TOGA, wonderful!
Another great video from JustPlanes. Passengers just have no idea of all the work that goes on in the cockpit before the aircraft pushes back from the stand. And another Airbus aircraft. My son helps to build these at the Airbus plant at St Eloi Toulouse.
I really appreciate these videos. Flown many times and always wondered what goes on with the pilots. Very professional.
I love how calm they are ☘️
Yes def!
26:49 every time I hear those mighty engines spool up it gives me chills. What sheer power!
Incredible the way they "rotate" / "climb" with a simple joystick move. What power and finesse!
Great crew coordination. Meticulous and a pleasure to witness.
I was always a very nervous flyer, pilot told me he had a family at home and he would never fly if he was in harm, he explained everything about the aircraft and what to expect which was quite normal, I now enjoy travelling the world thanks to him
Thank for sharing. Love 💕 seeing planes ✈️ from the ground
Excellent, very thorough and enjoyable presentation-professional crew-great camera work-I feel like a 4th crew member, Thank you
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Amazing crew .Awesome presentation

Flight crew - so interactive, so professional!
For sure
I think that aircraft just recently came out of service, EI LAX St Mella, I mean in the last week or two. I had the pleasure of flying on her two weeks after she entered service on and it was on the Dublin LAX route back 1998 I think it was. I was allowed onto the flight deck and had a chat with the Captain and FO about 90 mins out over the stunning scenery of Utah. Wouldn't happen now! This a great tribute to a fine aircraft that did the company proud. By the way, all Irish crew are like what you see in the video ;)
Who can't love an airline with a name like Aer Lingus?
It actually is Air Fleet in English. Aer Lingus definitely sounds better
Just a top crew , love watching this crew fly very professional 🤙🤙🤙
Fantastic and so insightful. One of the very best flightdeck videos yet.
What a fantastic demonstration of teamwork and professionalism. Makes me want to fly Air Lingus.
It is amazing to watch you punch in all the coordinates the weight before the plane moves. I am going to, sit back and enjoy this flight thank you to the captain and Fiona my hats off to you truly a professional.
Awesome to see how on top of things they were, even the comment after departure about the headwind picking up so they would have no issues meeting their upcoming altitude restriction. CRM was second to none, both of them were on the same page and clued in to everything from the get go!
I've flown twice with Aer Lingus and both times have been my best flight experiences by a mile.
I have the most respect for these pilots .I couldn't do that job be too scared of the responsebility .thank yee pilots for fling me around to different parts of the world 🌎
This video was so cool and well done. Explains everything. Just Planes is so cool for us non pilots❤️👍✈️
Awesome team work
gotta love the pilot he is a BOSS who doesnt press on the AUTO PILOT straight away !!
As a pilot who hand flies a lot (not at the airlines yet but who flies planes with very capable autopilots) I do not look down at pilots who use the autopilot a lot. It’s à different set of skills, one that isn’t easier than manual flying. As long as they do find a way to keep their manual flying skills sharp, I see them as equals, to be perfectly honest with you.
Beautiful!
Amazing crew, professional as always!
I really enjoy this crew, they make it very interesting for those of us that don't fly often. I remember in high school I wanted to be an airline pilot, and now, watching these videos I wish I had followed through, but the Air Force had a better use for me.
I want to fly with you both. I am very nervous of flying but you make me feel less so. I always enjoy watching your flights 😁👏🏻
Great to hear that!
Great and fantastic crew. Interesting to follow your route.
We agree! Glad you enjoyed it👍
Awesome, in the true sense of the word 👍
Great camera views team! Thanks for the peek in at what you do for startup procedures. Enjoyed!
Great to see Fiona back, love your flights…Very professional crew and easy to fly with..

Awesome, thank you Neil!
It's just amazing seeing how it all works, thank you all so much for these videos.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Are these pilots still flying to this day? They are so professional I never knew the checks procedures for pilots until now, makes me feel that much safer whenever I fly
I met Fiona at work last night at Belfast City Airport, she’s now a Captain on the A320
@@Peelybaii WHATTT! That’s so awesome I’m very happy to hear that she’s now Captain Fiona 🥲 well deserved! I bet she was super nice in person she seems like a genuine soul

I used to love flying out of EIDW, "verify first waypoint" and auto switch to departure freq
👍
Great insights and great crew. This plane is now in EIKN for scrapping.
Glad you enjoyed the video
Was I the only one that noticed that big rock on Fiona’s finger? She’s a unicorn; smart, beautiful and calm.
Awesome! 👏

Totally, thanks for watching and commenting
wow very interesting! Thank you for uploading
Very welcome, thanks for watching!
Now I know what y’all are doing while I’m relaxing in the cabin behind you. Hopefully you’ll fly back into Shannon, Dublin is a 3hr drive to Ballybunion.
Clever pups knows a lot more than just flying I take my hat of.
Very cool Brian
Flew on the A330 back in the days when the Boston service made a stop at Shannon for immigration reasons. Dublin to Shannon was a mere 15 minutes !
Interesting. Now they have a flight that goes just to Shannon and 1-2 a day nonstop to Dublin. 2 prior to covid, probably 1 for now
Fanatics video sir and your explanation
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, very detailed flight crew
It's amazing how far we've come since the Wright brothers. 👍🏻
Seriously interesting... super job..
I would confidently fly on their plane anytime. Very professional.
Real professional.
I live near San Francisco Airport(SFO), and I have seen AER Lingus A300 taking off for Dublin.
Another fantastic vid!)) Very interesting......many thx again JP;)) have a great week! greetings....XBetsy.....
Thank you very much Betsy! You have a lovely week as well!
Awesome💪👍🇮🇪 Irish
These are my favourite crew 🙂.
Agreed, they were both outstanding and made this program an absolute success! Can't wait to return to Aer Lingus for a 3rd time!
I believe this is the old EI LAX or St Mella that was just scrapped this past March. She was built in 1999 and I flew in her quite a few times.
Really good to watch, totally professional and pleasant, Oh yes Fiona is gorgeous too lol
Very professional display...exactly as it should be.
Great video. Thanx...
Thank you very much Willem!
Super video
Thank you
Very welcome Damian
I’m all Irish from me mums side. Proud that me people are this professional! Never knew Lucky Charms guy was a pilot! I know someone checked contents of their “coffee” cups!🥴
