I also wonder if he didn't take that long hiatus in late 2016-2017 where he fired his team and chased a guru, and switched to an all-liquid diet.. He probably would've won at least a few more slams in that window. He was at his true peak. In my mind there's no doubt he's the goat, I knew that in 2016 even before he had all the records.

Yep. There was no data, never any, that proved the "vax" prevented transmission. A pharmaceutical that doesnt sterilize the pathogen and that only mitigates the severity of illness (and even that was based on questionable data) is NOT and will never be a true vaccine. The choice to take a pharmaceutical or not should always rest with the individual, especially when said choice is of no consequence to the risk of public transmission.

Had a much better second half of his career than Nadal, Nadal peaked very young and destroyed his body. But saying he is the goat without the slam tally is a bit premature imo, he’s gonna get it no doubt but people need to wait till he does and they both retire. He’ll probably have a 3-5 more!

I wouldn’t worry haha I think Nole still has at least 3 good years at a high level… that’s a lot of slam opportunities even if he can’t play US open. He won this beating nearly everyone in straight sets. The next gen is just mentally weak. Alcaraz is the only real threat because he has killer instinct and the pressure doesn’t get to him. It’s almost a foregone conclusion he retires with more than Nadal. It’s obvious he is driven to have the record and he takes care of himself enough to see it through.
Two at the most. Too many GREAT young players. I even put Alexander Zverev in there if he can stay healthy and stop with the double faults already.
