The third game got a really great atmosphere, but damn, that overused sighing sounds make it like the ghost are all "I'm fucking bored, find me already". Really makes me think that sound design is really a core of a great horror game. Imagine how great the game would be with a better sound design.
I remember playing it myself and streaming it to a few friends and I never once heard that sound so it really surprised me to hear it here
Yeah, if they had used it every once in a while instead of every 5 seconds that would've been a lot creepier. Or like occasional whispering noises that were loud enough to hear but too quiet to make out any words. Using the same clip every few seconds takes the spook factor out and just makes it kinda boring. If not for the fact that I wanted to hear Mark I would've muted the audio about 2 mins into the constant sighing
