  • This tour was so fascinating, it's hard to believe that the Chestnut frame, wards off anything that could damage it with its own defenses. I love how you didn't change a thing. The history is astonishing, to actually see the architecture, the materials, and the sign of the times is truly amazing. Thank you for preserving it and sharing it.

  • What a fascinating chateau. Read quite a bit about Queen Margot and her quite difficult mother. She was a remarkable woman. Your castle covers most of the history of France over the past 500+ years. The historic property is in remarkably good condition and is quite clean and ready for whatever comes next. The rocky plateau is placed ideally on that plot of land. It really is wonderful. In my schooling, which was mostly Brit based, we learned virtually nothing about France. About 6 years ago I started reading the complete works of Dumas which were based on the true history of France during the lifetime of this beautiful property. Dumas hired a historian to research the history of his stories. He tried to make the back history accurate while writing a serial of the times with some real and fictional characters. When I was in school Dumas was thought to be a writer primarily for men but the history of France is stunning in scope. Now I see the world through the events of the House of Valois up to Napoleon. Your property perfectly represents the time of Francis 1 forward. Would love to visit there in the future. You did a fine tour. Thanks for posting.

  • This is a wonderful example of a more truly medieval style chateau that has largely been preserved. We really appreciate the dubbing in English. We think it is great that you are promoting French chateau to the French people but it would greatly enhance the channel to reach the non-French speaking world where there is a large audience for this type of content.

  • Unbelievable that this Chateau survived the ages in this ancient condition. The nobility usually rebuild and renovated their buildings many times over the centuries. So many ancient building are either unrecognizable today or in ruins. Fantastic building, may it stand for another 500 years.
