  • The thing I love about this rivalry is not just how evenly matched they are and how extensive and high-level it is, but how much it's defined and shaped both of their lives. Alex beating Izzy put him on the path to becoming (arguably) the Kickboxing GOAT and put Izzy on a path to his spectacular MMA career, and then years later gave Alex a chance to become champion and Izzy the chance to redeem himself in the eyes of the fans. I'll always cheer for Alex in any of his fights, especially against Izzy, but I'm so lucky to see a rivalry so spectacular play out like this.

  • Its always been the right hand from fight one, Alex just has no answer for it. The right hand closed the show at UFC 287.

  • Izzy always says, "i was winning the fights until Alex KOed me". The last fight Alex was winning until he rushed too much and got KOed himself. After that he run with the famous stupid quote: "I dont keep scores I settle them". Izzy might be great fighter but he is delusional and he is coping. For me Alex is the real king. Never talked shit and smoked him 3 times. How can anyone overlook these facts is beyond me...

    • Lol your ,,facts" are not really facts Aley didn't win until he got KO'd Izzy literally won the first round on the scorecards and started landed even better shots in round 2🤨 And Alex literally talked trash about Izzy some years ago too and tried to mock Izzy after winning the UFC belt by posting his wins nearly every day And you say he never talked sh*t🤨 Come on dude You're so biased, it's insanely obvious

  • This rivalry CANNOT be judged on results alone. Truth is, all 4 fights have been incredibly competitive with Izzy always coming short due to Pereira insane power, the one time he managed to turn that power against pereira he knocked him out. This talk of Pereira being “so much better than Izzy” is a myth. They are equally matched and it is very much a rivalry. Personally, I’d love to see them fight for the LHW title and settle it once and for all. Maybe this time Izzy will try to grapple, could be epic
