  • That part of "well what if I'm not good?" and "I don't need to know about it" is completely relatable. When depressed, replying "I'm good" after someone asks how you are is just an expected response after a time, because you come to find that the world quickly tires of your "not fine" status when it lingers for an extended period of time.

    • You are definitely NOT alone. It's called misophonia, and lots of people experience it! At times, I've had to put on music or go hungry, because I couldn't bear the sound of MYSELF eating. Ack! 😀 What really helped was learning hypnosis. Now, I can 'turn down' the volume on unsettling stimulii, which makes life much more pleasant. 😉

    • That's one reason why Southerners have fans in their rooms. Most of us have dogs and other animals and need the white noise to cover up the night time sounds they make. That constant licking drives me nuts, too. I have misophonia and mouth sounds are banes of my existence. 😊

  • Oh, from the viewpoint of someone who worked retail: please do not scan it twice. We may have adjusted inventory and if you scan it twice you will throw that off. Also, never feel bad taking from mega corporations. Only place you need to never take from is small stores, and also stores that make it a point to be good to their employees, care about human rights and don't donate to things that cause harm, and that are consistently working towards being more eco friendly. Reward the places that do good with your business so they can take what you give them and continue to do good with it.

Like, I have lived all 19 years of my life without learning that information. I have been dating a girl for 4 months and I still didn't learn. She just called them hair ties. Everyone else already called them scrunchies, I just didn't even know they had a specific name to begin with.

    @Metqa@Metqa Жыл бұрын
    • Let’s be fair. The sound that Cats make when they do this as a pose to Dogs isn’t nearly as repulsive or unattractive. It’s mainly since they have much smaller, dryer and quieter tongues. Also, listening to someone showering late at night isn’t nearly hard to fall asleep to as listening to a dog lapping away at their own body with their large, slobbery tongue, which you’ll probably find lapping around your face the next morning. Besides, the sound of running water can be rather soothing at times. Personally, I sometimes share a bed with my cat and the sound of him grooming himself isn’t that bothersome at all.
