It's the only PVE Starter Base video I could find by Eradication, and these two are nothing alike other than they have a border and gate lol. I watch Eradication quite often. I don't see the similarities in builds, but even still it's okay for people to get ideas from others and then put their spin on them or improve them. That's what these videos are for. Is possibly worry about the update on age of sorcery September 1st.. after the update the devs have said anything sitting on ceilings could be destroyed or spoof. because of the update and the game not registering the ceilings as floor tiles. The stability may flip null. hence losing your benches and items in benches and chests etc.

I'm just not sure what to actually do in the game besides grind materials, make a cool base, capture a few thralls for guards then... do it again? Once you've got the basics of surviving (which you have if you're getting the resources to do this) if you're not interested in PvP or you're just playing solo I'm never sure what to do next.

    • @@DrB048 That's true - I kind of forgot about those. I played on a private server with a couple of friends, but our interests in parts of the game never aligned. It was the base building that mostly drew us to CE. We each ended up with separate bases. They didn't really leave the desert river area, while I had map rooms and other buildings in most biomes. I started doing dungeons - wanted to do them as a team with my friends but mostly ended up just my thralls and there was little challenge to the ones I tried. I think there's been changes to the combat since I last played, but at that time at least thralls were so much better in a fight than I was that the best thing to do was keep out their way while they curb-stomped everything.

  • How are you choosing an existing piece by mousing over it instead of going back to hammer selection? is that a creator mode thing only?

    @jumo7477@jumo7477 Жыл бұрын
    • Nope, if you press the middle mouse wheel it will select the piece you are looking at without going back into the piece selection menu.

  • Why do you remove the foundations and just leave the fence? is there something aesthetically different?

    @jumo7477@jumo7477 Жыл бұрын
    • That's to cut down on the amount of foundations and resources spent on them. If you plot the layout of your base with cheaper foundations like sandstone you can go back through and delete them to replace them with fence foundation and ceiling pieces.

  • I don't get why you remove the foundations just to place more foundations on top of the ceiling pieces. Why not just leave the foundations under the foundations?

    @LucasBernardesRosa@LucasBernardesRosa Жыл бұрын
    • That's to cut back on the number of placed foundations to improve server stability. Also, the initial foundations were placed to make sure the location for your build is perfect. I recommend using a cheaper building set when trying to get your initial placement perfect.

    @tarvik8742@tarvik8742 Жыл бұрын

    • @@DrB048 That works for in the ground as well?

      @tarvik8742@tarvik8742 Жыл бұрын
    • @Tarvik No, not when it's in the ground. You can either place a set of foundations close to the ground and build on top of that. Or you can get creative and use vaulted ceiling pieces. You can use the backs of the vaulted ceilings as walls, and they also act as stairs. Doing it this way will allow you to place doorframes, or whatever, and then have the wall from the vaulted ceiling pieces behind it.
