It’s hard to be a foreign fighter and have Americans love you but this guy is doing it. Love his hard working attitude and that he wants to fight to make a better life for his brothers.
No it’s not. All my favorite fighters are foreign. Petr Yan, Valentina, Idesanya, Conor Mcgregor. Literally no American fighters I like. Don’t like Justin gaethje, don’t like Dustin, none of them really except Chandler

You guys are all taking this comment the wrong way. He’s saying that foreign fighters are generally not that popular and that is true. Most of the champions in the ufc are foreign and that’s the only reason they have a somewhat big name. Excluding Conor the biggest ufc names are all American and none of them are even ufc champions which goes to show how much more popular they really are and khamzat is getting up there as well. The biggest names are Nate Diaz, Colby Covington, Jon Jones, Jorge masvidal, Ronda rousey, Daniel Cormier, max Holloway, etc. and of course I’m not saying there’s not big foreign stars, I’m pointing out that it is mainly the American fighters who have the bigger following on social media and make the most money.

Light heavyweight is kinda unknown, so idk if it would benefit khamzat in anyway (since Jon Jones doesn't compete in that division, it kinda downed its popularity by a bit) so I think it would be more beneficial for khamzat to beat the lightweight champ
