  • His cardio was never bad. Him and Burns was a full out brawl for 15 mins. It doesn’t matter how hard you train, you will always get tired in a 3 round sprint. And he really didn’t get that tired he finished the 3rd round strong

Honestly, you will never again see Khamzat fight the same way he did against Burns. because his experience versus Burns actually made Khamzat stronger and smarter because he learned a lot from that fight.

    • I mean burns was also the worst stylistic matchup for him in the entire ww Div. World champion 3rd degree black belt, has knockout power off his back foot, great check hooks, and you also have to factor Chimaev literally killing himself to make weight. Burns did the same thing getting to lw and he’d gas and be chinny and moved up to ww and was a championship contender. I think that fight sort of humbled Chimaev in a way that he realizes being better or stronger or more ferocious isn’t always enough, and not everyone is gonna wilt within the few seconds of you getting your hands on them or be drowned on the ground and you can be a better fighter, more technical , have far more tools and still lose a fight if you don’t follow a gameplan or smart
