    • For my last dog who was a collie X this would work. But for my reactive collie i have now this doesn't work. She is so hyper sensitive . It has taken me months just to get her to tolerate cars in general. But one noisy one or cyclist , motor bike or van she goes off. She loves other dogs , and is ok with people with dogs 90% of the time, but any runners noisy people or children she doesn't like at all. So i re direct her. She is only 10 months and is a re home because the people who had her before couldn't work her out. And she was like this from small. This might work in a controlled area like my garden . But if she is surprised she goes ballistic and is is hard to calm her down again. If something happens on a walk thatcsets her off, she is then on lead for the rest, because she wont calm down for hours.

  • Cesar gave me the confidence 10+ years ago to not only raise my own dog properly but to have the right energy to be around ANY dog. I've lost count of the amount of times an owner has said something like "wow that's like the first time my dogs been able to do that" (getting pet from a stranger, walking outside without a leash, stop barking) And it is 1000% thanks to this gem of a dude. I owe him my life because dogs are my life.

It baffles me, because I feel that he understands dog (and human) behavior extremely well. • This was dealt with in a calm, co dude t & POSITIVE way .. for all those Cesar naysayers. I had trainers that do your type training back in 2008. My dog was a little rescue who was her own rude, bossy pack leader … we learnt to quickly. It allows her to get away with these actions & all her training was NO treads - instead a slow, firm chest rub she would do anything for 😉 She died last yr. At 16 yrs. Old but was the BEST dog right to the end…. We hiked, always did parkour type activities in walks .. we kept engaged ‘ she always looked to us for guidance. It was a beautiful thing. @CleverCanines in Calgary,AB 10wk. core training - life changing. Thanks Cesar !!

The first thing she said was "have you had German Shepherds?" I said yes in search and Rescue. Boom she gave me Gino's! He was tough and bold. I used your techniques. He was 6. So it took about 8 months. He hated other people, animals, you name it and I lived on a farm! He became friends with dogs people and didn't bother the cows, bulls or horses!!!! He turned out great!!!! It can be done.

  • I happened to watch one of your videos about 10 years ago, I was having problems between 2 of the 4 rescue dogs I had at the time.. I couldn't understand why, they were loved, looked after and fed well, so why was this happening? Your video cleared things up for me... I learned about leadership, boundaries etc... Since I have had 11 rescues, now 7 since some have passed on due to old age or terminal illness but knowing what you have taught me has made this journey an easier one... They are well behaved, they are free in the house by the way, never caged or tied.. They are not destructive, get along and have an amicable enough relationship with our 2 rescue cats.. I don't really teach them tricks but you can lay down any treats or bones and say wait and nobody will touch them until I pick them up and offer them to each dog, We have a poo poo lawn in the backyard and that's the only place they do their business.. You can walk around anywhere else in our garden at night in the dark with no fear of treading on poop! Mind you, with the exception of 2 who I took in as pups these are all adult street dogs who had no idea as to how to live in a home.. Training starts the moment they come in on day one.. Thank you!

  • When my dogs bark at a person in my yard I don't tell them "No". I tell them "That's enough". They know when I say that there is no threat. They usually stop the first time I say it. I save the command "No" for bad behavior. I WANT the dogs to tell me when someone is in my yard. I also want them to know when there is no threat. I reward them at least verbally as soon as they stop. The UPS driver was amazed at how well they listened.

Some other person was holding the dog because dogs can not enter the shop. Unfortunatelly the other person released the dog, I think it was a pitbull or something like that, smaller female, never the less still dangerous. The shoplifter started to encourage the dog to attack me and she did. Was there anything I should do to prevent the bite?

My question is will my dog's aggression be totally eliminated (even off-leash) when a stranger comes after training him or it'll never go away, but only controlled? Our old maid will be replaced by a new one in a couple of months and I'm having anxiety now about how the new maid will be able to handle my dog (feed, bath and groom) knowing full well that he's aggressive around new peep.

  • My problem is that my dog goes straight for the kill. I've managed to have him become friends with several people if they're willing to follow my instructions of being very calm and going slow. If he doesn't k ow you and you're still, he'll bite. If you run, he'll chase and bite. I'd we go through my process, he'll be your friend for life, even if he sees you once a year less. What haven't been able to learn is the quick "don't kill, 😂he's a friend." I have come to peace that I won't be able to have a cat while he spends the rest of his life with me.

We have a female spaded and a male nurtured pom which is his half brother, he plays with his half brother. We have him for a two week trial before we send him back. You can tell he has never been held but only got petted from the ground by the owners. it took forever for us to get him and bring him home. He is out of his comfort zone and Im trying to ease his nervousness. He is beautiful pom and has not been nurtured. Of course we are trying to make a house dog out of him, but this one is a extreme challenge. We love this dog but We dont know were to start, and two weeks is not enough time. Please give us some guidance. our other Male loves playing with him but the older female dont care for him, we show them all the same attention. When i put a harness on him and take him outside he cows down and will not go to the bathroom. urinates on pee pad but will not poop at all for 3 days now, but he eats some food.
