Joe Biden has taken sharp aim at his presidential election rival Donald Trump at the annual White House Correspondents' dinner. At the gathering of politicians and journalists, he spoke about some of the big issues that could shape November's election. He also highlighted the work his administration is doing to secure the release of US journalists detained overseas - but there was no mention of the war in Gaza. Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters greeted attendees of the event outside the venue, calling for them to boycott the dinner over US support for Israel's war in Gaza.

I don't think saying it like that is the best way to approach the campaign. Trump might show signs of being selfish and spiteful, but people who voted for him will be alienated by insulting something they identified with at least once. There must be a better way to show people which party is putting more constructive effort into bettering the state of the states

I personally have felt a number of aspects of my life take a turn for the worse since certain Democratic polices were enacted after Democratic election wins in 2018, 2020. (For example, the start of two wars, a surge in violent crime such as people getting pushed to subway tracks to their deaths, and housing shortages due to shortsighted housing law changes in NYC by Democrats in 2019.) I really tried to be open-minded and was even hopeful after Biden was elected in 2020, but the last 5 years have been a huge disappointment.
