It is obviously an invention to steal credit from nomad steppe peoples like the Scythians. I think as soon as someone calls themselves experts then they can make up whatever they want and resentful people easily believe it.

The Russians attacked A-H for invading their ally, and Germany declared war on Serbia and Russia. France joined against Germany and A-H because Germany was attacking France's important ally, Russia. The war kept raging on until Germany attacked Belgium to go around France's defenses and thus The UK declared war on Germany for attacking a neutral country. Also about the US, they kept supplying the allies so Germany sent a telegram to Mexico, basically telling Mexico to attack America. The UK found the ship carrying Germany's message so they showed it to the US. The US then declared war on Germany. Austria Hungary deserved what it got, not their people but A-H themselves

Troops were only withdrawn, with England being the only area carved up by the Saxons. Not until 1284 was Wales finally conquered.

The old confederation of the swiss cantons (an union of very small states), which has its origin probably in 1291, was technically part of the holy roman empire until 1648. After that the old confederation was somewhat independent. In 1799 they got invaded by Napoleon/france which formed the helvetic republic out of the cantons. After the downfall of Napoleon, the cantons got their neutrality guaranteed in 1814 at the Congress of Vienna. It was done to have a buffer zone between austria, italy, germany and france. After some Dispute and a short civil war between the cantons, the country as we know today was finally created in 1848.

It was part of a treaty that some french soldiers could guard the spanish ports to stop the british smugglers and to prevent any landing in Spain by the British Army. But some brigands, desertors, prisoners and fanatics started to massacre every major of Spanish cities to bring anarchy, started to kill all the people loyal to the King and any authority, started to kill all the french soldiers defending their ports. So Napoléon sent troops to Madrid to stop the anarchists, proposed the Spanish King and some parliamentarians to hide in Bayonne (France) and started negociations to make revolutionary reforms in Spain to please those insurgents, but in peace. Those insurgents/anarchists didn't want peace, they started to kill all the spanish honest civilians who were opposed to anarchy, so the french army marched on whole Spain. *Napoléon didn't attack, he only defended his ally, the Spanish crown* .

I was trying to find out at which point occupied territory becomes that country. Correct me if I am wrong, but according to the Geneva Convention, which was established after WWII, occupied territory never becomes the occupier's territory. In other words, 'right of conquest' no longer exists. To me, there is a great disconnect between this international law and the reality of situations where territory is taken from one country and possessed by another. For instance, if an entire country becomes occupied by another, does it not become the country that occupies it? International law denies this; however, I suspect that the reality of such a situation would be very different.

    • @@SuperSmileyTom " according to the Geneva Convention, which was established after WWII" you mean the UN? The Geneva agreements originated in 1864 (updated after WW2). But it's all empty as always, look at Gaza today, not the UN nor the Geneva Conventions can stop genocide... the only reason why there was no major war in Europe and no border changes is because USA and USSR occupied Europe and achieved balance of power (and nuclear fear). That was somewhat changed after 1991. with numerous wars in territories not occupied by the USA Empire. That's the only 'law'. Like Pax Romana.

    • Yes, because roman armies march in legions, so it takes time to reach big distances and then you need to subjugate the living population under roman rule. Germany had planned for their invasion for six years from 1933 to 1939 and then Hitler went to execute his plans, but he made some military blunders, like letting the soviets surround his big army in Stalingrad without holding the lines well. Wasting soldiers fighting against in Russia in winter and he should have started his war operations against Russia in april, so thats how he was also defeated quickly with his military blunders.

      @jout738@jout7386 ай бұрын
    • @@jout738 The biggest sin Hitler committed was trusting the English after absolutely decimating the soviet army, which was ready to invade Europe. He protected Europeans as a whole. Instead of thanks however, the Germans had to suffer the weight of the entire world. Capitalists helped the communists to get their war machine operational again - they provided them with all the iron, oil and capital they needed. Then, capitalists and marxists joined hands to destroy Germany. It took them six years to destroy a nation the size of Texas. They call this a 'victory.' Capitalism and marxism are two sides of the same coin; and because National Socialism posed a threat to both of these soul-crushing systems it had to die. Now, through movies and peculiar publishers, we are being told by 'gods chosen people' that the Germans wanted to lord over us as a masterrace. Absolutely ludicrous.

In the German and Danish parts of today there are still people who speak in a dialect that have a lot of similarities with the Frisian language. Today the Frisian language ( which btw have commonalities with old English ) is mainly spoken in the Northern province Friesland of the Netherlands. Today Frisian is the second official language in the Netherlands. But I believe there are less than a million people who speak Frisian on a daily base. But since Friesland has an history of it own apart from the Netherlands I more or less to see that represent in the video.
