OPPO recently updated its software to ColorOS 14, running Android 14. It has further expanded most of its features, brought some new ones, and implemented significant improvements behind the scenes to make the OS feel a lot smoother, more intuitive, and safer to use. Enjoy!

    • Not really. They still have inconsistent square dialogue boxes everywhere. One ui is still better at consistency.

  • I am currently using color os 13 and it's damn good,smooth and underrated .I have been using color os for a very long time and believe me it's fast,smooth and best.And color os 14 looks really good and too many new features are going to be added 👌.

  • Hey man, can you make a video where you compare different OS's and their Pros and cons to inform people about them? Also could help in understanding if those exclusive features are available in other phones. I use an S22U and want to switch to a different phone such as one from Oppo, Vivo or Oneplus, but kinda scared about the software features, are all the cool OneUI features available there?

  • Would be perfect if it had better lock screen and always on display customisation😔😔 (don't forget oxygen OS), Hopefully on the Android 15 update they both get that and independent app audio control like miui

    • It does have independent app volume control but only in games. Then again that's the only place you're gonna need such a feature.

  • I'm currently using an iPhone 15 and I also have an Oppo Reno 6 pro. I have no idea what people see in Apple. For me, Oppo and Color OS are much more efficient, reliable, looks better and has many more functions.

  • Most of these features already exist in the previous version upgrading to this only brings a few useful features while also degrading battery life and introducing various unknown bugs so i like to stick to current color os 13 which is stable with no bugs as such and sufficient battery life i might upgrade after a year or 2.

  • Hope they make System Cloner available for non-pro reno devices. Was dismayed after knowing it's only available for pro versions despite advertising it as ColorOS 13 feature.

  • The fact that Oppo still hasn't implemented Lock Screen Customization is kinda disappointing. OxygenOS and realmeUI uses almost the same ColorOS makes it a bit worse.

    • ​@@TanveerAhmed-dk3rpyep. But some stuffs like Air Gestures are not present in OOS(maybe they have added them recently but I'm not sure about that). And RealmeUI has some extra experimental stuff in Realme Labs(+ full of in-UI ads).

    • Nope🥲 But you do get the option to disable their garbage Media player on Lockscreen. So what you can do is replace that shit with a KWGT widget by using Lockscreen widget apk.

  • It seems to be most refined Nd feature packed. The icons are nice the overall UI is nice and has to be the best android there. Quality of videos bringing the deatils to the color os and other os is just too food.

    • hold any blank space area in the homescreen and instead of pressing the widget button, press the plus button found at the upper left corner of the screen. I guess, by now, you found it already but anyway i hope this helps

  • For me the highlight is the always on display. in my oppionion this is one of the coolest features that a phone has and is way too underrated. i have a samsung device and its pretty annoying that the always on display gets left behind like that

  • Is there a Lite version of ColorOS? Similar to Samsung, not every phone, especially entry-level ones, receives the full version of One UI. So, do all phones running ColorOS get the complete version, regardless of their segment?

    • The lite version of ColorOS is basically the same ColorOS-(minus) App opening animations,blossom wallpaper,Subject cut-out, app compression,etc. Unlike OneUI which is the heaviest UI out there(due to the amount of features it packs in even in budget range), ColorOS is selective with its feature-set & remove certain features from the lower-end phones both to differentiate between flagships+upper mid-rangers & lower-end and keep the UI lighter.

    • @@dragonforcegaming7555 Thanks, so basically there's no way to tell that you're getting complete colorOS before buying the mobile just by seeing its specs? Like in Samsung's case, it clearly mentions that it's One UI Core, the lite version of One UI.

    • @@hanve Basically Reno's pro plus(8pro in case of 8 series) & Find Series have full-fledged ColorOS. While the base Reno has almost everything except 1 or 2 stuff. While Budget segment misses out on almost half of the stuff introduced in the new version. As for OneUI core, Samsung makes it lighter but then again adds a lot more stuff in the next version. Essentially cancelling out and making it heavier again.

    • HyperOS is basically MiUI if it was further refined. It's great tbh. You will get great lockscreen customisations. You won't get the real HyperOS through update on any phone which isn't Xiaomi 14 series or Redmi K60 series or their upcoming phones. What you are essentially getting is an Android based skin,not their true VELA based HyperOS.

    • Most features are half-baked. They still can't implement 3 years old Material You. No lock screen customisation and many more things. It's just trying to look like ios. Typical Chinese thing nothing else.

    • ​@@blinkforever_and_everthe material you implementation sucks. 3rd party apps can use material you no problem because they use android 12+ monet. colorOS UI used their own shitty engine which doesn't follow monet (can get inconsistent with other material you apps) and it only applies to buttons and toggles, they did such a half job lol.

    • There is but it's limited to Chinese version of ColorOS. You'll need to side-load it from Apkmirror or ask the app from OPPO themselves.

  • Hi guys, anyone with Oppo A98 5G already updated to ColorOS 14? Does the extract content function work? On my phone I don't get that "extract content" button when making a screenshot. I can only drag the screenshot into File Dock or if i open the gallery and try to extract an object from the photo, that works as well. The text extraction on the other hand does not work at all. Anyone having the same issue, or maybe A98 dosent support this?? Thanks 🙏
