Rika's technically skills kept her advancing against stronger opponents early [4-0]. Now her stronger opponents are even more powerful & more well rounded in MMA [0-4]. It was enjoyable while it lasted!

Rika's weaknesses seem to be her boxing skills and closing her eyes to punches, even if they don't make contact. She does have good ground skills though although Itsuki kept taking her down. Itsuki is just a stronger girl and brings her boxing power to the game

Rika also doesn't commit to her punches and kicks, her hips are not in so they lack power. She's using her boxing more for distancing defensively. Hirata is constantly committed and getting in with her hips making her punches effective, which is keeping Rika off balanced and on guard. Hirata looks to have studied Rika's weaknesses because she is easily able to get inside her ma (fighting space)
She should just do BJJ, it’s like she thinks striking and kicks are boring or annoying. If you think that then do wrestling or juijitsu
@@Sprite_525 They are not boring, she’s just not good at striking, period. She closes her eyes when punching or getting punched. It’s not natural to her. She can get by with just grappling , but up to a point. If she wants to be the best, she has to do everything well, which includes striking.
It’s amazing how Hirata though she was outboxed and obviously hurt by flurries was able to mitigate & slow down her attacker. Good jiujitsu skill.
I honestly didn't see that too much, I just saw Hirata dominate for most of the match.
I think you have the fighters mixed up. Hirata was out boxing / striking Ishige, she knocked her down three times with right hands to the face.

@@Lorenzferusshe did get 2 shots from the heel to the face it looked like but hirata didn’t look fased at all it was a complete domination from standing to ground and hirata has impeccable ground game that kimura lock was so fast and she almost had arm but got a chance at a easier one

this was a super pleasing technical ground fight some very well thought out moves and the execution on the submission attempts are second to none every one from hirata was on point
These 2 ladies went to war! What a great battle. Thar final armbar was tough to sink in, but she got it the victory. Incredible! Looking forward to more from both Rika Ishige and Itsuki Hirata.
Not so much a great battle, Ishige had no chance, she was out-matched standing and on the ground.

My two fave fighters
Rika is so tiny but she took some shots down there from Itsuki. Rika's conditioning must be outstanding. She looked a little gassed at the end but she was continually fighting from the bottom. Couple of very tough girls.

Itsuki’s legs may not have bulging muscles but they’re unbelievably strong. It looked like Ishege was about to pass out from the immense pressure. If she didn’t tap, i am sure she would have passed out & Itsuki would’ve won too.

I don't know what some people are watching but Hirata was clearly superior to Ishige in almost every way. Much more athletic and explosive.

Both great fighters and hot with it, but they both seemed reserved and not using elbows and knees when they could? But at one point the winner DID use knees, so within the rules, which makes me wonder why they didn't use them a lot more?

Itsuki has the upper body strength and swinging power over Rika. Rika needs to up her stand up game, elbows, knees, front kick, kegomi and should have worked Itsuki with kicks using her reach advantage. Rika wasn't ready for Itsukis' style.

It is interesting that regarding women's leagues, one can usually estimate the winner beforehand, by physique alone. The gap between female fighters tends to be more noticeable, because there is a smaller selection. Aka, fewer absolute geniuses/powerhouses, meaning they stick out.
