Centrifugal superchargers do look similar to the compressor side of a turbocharger because its the same mechanism but mechanically driven however this is not that.

  • They are twin turbo 4 valve engines. You run staggered motors to keep the drives close together, it makes a huge impact on top speed and keeps cavitation down in turns.

    • @Arthur West Well, you could, I mean you can shoe horn them in there side by side, but why would you? Another advantage is to get some weight going forward. You probably know this, but too much weight in the very back can create an annoying porpoise effect.

  • My best friend's father has a cigarette AMG just like that one. I just don't see how he could afford that big thing. And they're not snobs, they're Normal poor/wealthy looking people like the rest of us. But they have more than lots of money. I've rode it one time and that thing's insane AF. Full speed, the turbine is my favorite part about it going fast. Sounding like a McLaren on steroids.

    • My brother had a Kevlar 19' Laser with a "second effort" Johnson racing outboard on it. We got it up to 107 mph in the river, but only when it was smooth out. 107 in that thing felt a lot faster than it does in a car. He crashed and totalled it when he hit floating debris, lucky he was wearing his impact vest.

  • A camper? A yacht is luxurious. Provides area to sleep, launch, cook, etc. You could only buy this as your side-boat, next to your yacht. If you have the money, then you have way more affordable options, for sleek, shiny, small speedboats. Don't fall for the hype :S
