    • we moved here from the south and honestly the gun laws aren't near as bad as I thought. Don't get me wrong. They are all BS. But in CA it really depends on your county. I'm in Ventura county which is very conservative and gun friendly. Getting our CCW's was much easier than I thought. Our gun shop had a ton of cool guns including AR's I've found the gun owners of California are a really cool bunch. And they are on top of things because of the state's laws. I've said before CA is just the pioneer for laws. They eventually make their way around the country. So that's why gun owners need to be on our toes and ready to fight. The same libtards encouraging rioting and looting are the ones who want guns to be illegal.

It so happens criminals of a minority of the population commit multiple crimes that lead to violent interactions with police at some point and the police dont have a wide range of good training with deescalation and fitness. Nobody talks about the simple shit like how they are fat as fuck and ive watched a video of 4 officers taking 15 minutes to get a dude in handcuffs, the need to have mandatory jujitsu training that is good at control bodies so they want restort to punching kicking and shooting. Most of the population that owns guns LEGALLY are good people trying to have an advantage over criminals. I was lucky to have a mother who bought a 1911 and taught me how to use it and when i was about to head to the bus for school at someone tryna break in my house threw a pot at my window. They ran ocause the alarm went off and nothing happened it was wtv, but if he did decide to come in i was in my mama room with the gun pointed at the door till i heard my neighbor come over and yell my name carrying his shotgun. Texas is amazing.

  • The fact that Colion asks for clarification when being asked a vague question like about loopholes, shows his talent as not only an attorney but a spokesman aswell. I’ve seen countless debates where both sides don’t understand what is being asked and just start answering the question rather than ask for a clarification and getting a better understanding of the question to continue a peaceful debate. Well done Colion

    @renebronkhorst5487@renebronkhorst5487 Жыл бұрын
    • He didn’t ask for clarification because he didn’t know what bill meant. He asked for clarification, because bill doesn’t understand what he’s asking. He’s saying it as if there’s some loophole for commercial gun sales when in reality it’s person to person sales. The government will never be able to regulate the 400 million privately held guns in this country no more than they can collect the sales tax when you sell an old appliance to a friend for 50 bucks. He’s asking for clarification to win the argument, which is why bill backpedals and changes topic.

    • See THIS STATEMENT displays part of the PROBLEM. Lets me explain. Here in America because of VARIOUS racist, capitalist agendas, YOU/WE, DONT KNOW AMERICAN HISTORY. We get the whitewashed, revisionist version. Coming to what you see spealing before you is a "black man" talkijg about the 2nd Amendment and how his "ancestors" blah blah blah. Look, it needs to be understood that ALOT of the people you see (speaking for the "black" community) are NOT CONNECTED to the history, legacy, or lineage of the circumstances in which you referrenced with the whole "ancestors" thing. What do I mean? Colin Noir, Candace Owens, Joy Reid, Barack Obama, Shelia Jackson Lee (and MANY MEMBERS OF THE CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS) the one guy from the reparations debate, Issa Raye (insecure) Cardi B, Nikki Minaj, Rhianna, Kamalah Harris etc etc these people are "black" but they are NOT the traditionally termed "African American) which should actually be known as American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS). It so it needs to be understood that when lots of these people speak, greater America (read white america) usually thinks these are African american people speaking in the sense of a group identity. Like "his ancestors", when in actuality, with him being 1st Gen American and hist family being from Nigeria, there is a STRONG possibility that his "ancestors" SOLD MY ANCESTORS into slavery. My ancestors, The non-immigrant descendant Enslaved Africans whose blood sweat, tears, labor, and wombs through which America was built, were the "ancestors" who were denied the rights. So it may sound crass, and pretty unpopular (especislly with liberal status quo) but just because we are black we are NOT the same. Which is one of the very reasons why all throught politics EVERYONE has an advocacy group that advocates SPECIFICALLY for them, EXCEPT BLACK AMERICANS, More specifically American Descendats of Slavery. Dont believe me? Research it for yourselves and you will see that I'm right. EVERYBODY thats black in the US falls into the "black" or African American, minorty, people of color, black and brown, etc" category but the actual black population that is tied to the history, legacy, lineage and building of the US is steadily being "recasted" by other "blacks". Who in MANY CASES shouldnt even be speaking "for" or as a "representative of" the "black community.

The guy is actually pretty open to hearing out people he disagrees with. I don’t really care what people believe or support. You can be a hardcore lefty, radical right, or somewhere in between and I will harbor no hatred towards you for that alone. What I can’t respect is people who cover their ears when they hear something they disagree with and start yelling over them “I’M RIGHT YOU’RE WRONG I’M RIGHT YOU’RE WRONG…” Close-mindedness and intolerance are a cancer and stain on humanity, no matter what side of the spectrum you’re on. While working in the schools, I crossed paths with hundreds of teachers and most of them did not have the proper mindset or desire to carry a firearm. • We've both been through middle school, so we both know how...testing some kids can be. It only takes one teacher who's having a REALLY bad day to have a kid make them snap, and that will lead to a massive backlash. We see this with cops that sometimes get trigger happy and gun people down because someone got nervous and made a sudden move. I am pro gun, but just looking at it from a logistical standpoint, it probably wouldn't work. Most school districts are massively underfunded and they sometimes don't even have enough money to buy up to date textbooks every year. So all of the training and buying a gun would have to come out of the teachers own pocket, and they are all ready underpaid. That being said, I have no idea whatsoever on how to deal with school shootings. Maybe raise the age to buy any gun to 21, but that would only solve a niche case because they can always use someone else's gun, but it's at least an idea.

Honestly speaking, if the middle school teacher in question is willing to go through specialized training, then I feel it safe to assume a specific degree of patience. Your concern was also mine prior to this video. Respectively, there is considerably zero difference in the decision making ability between 18 and 21. Both are idiots that believe they know everything, meanwhile knowing virtually nothing. Well trained and licensed teachers defending our kids may just be the best option.

No Guns in Courthouses anymore!! If we can raise Trillions of American Dollars to giveaway to Ukrainian War Efforts to try and save their lives? WHY CAN'T WE DO THE SAME FOR OUR OWN CHILDREN??? HERE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY??? WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT? "(CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME)" These are our children!!! OK Let's take a New approach. How about we SUE THE BUILDERS OF THESE NEW UNSAFE SCHOOLS? BECAUSE THEY AREN'T SAFE ENOUGH FOR OUR CHILDREN TO ATTEND? AND SUE THE GOVERNMENT THAT FORCES THE PARENT'S TO PLACE THEIR CHILDREN IN AN UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT IN HARMS WAY EACH AND EVERY DAY BY SENDING THIER CHILDREN TO THESE UNSAFE SCHOOLS??? --> LIKE THE GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING SANDIE HOOK PARENT'S TO SUE AR15 GUN MAKERS??? MAKING THE MANUFACTURER'S BUILDERS? OF THESE AR15 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF THEIR CHILDREN? AND THE GUN MAUFACTURES NEVER HELD THE GUNS!!! OR PULLED THE TRIGGER THE DAY THOSE CHILDREN WERE KILLED!!! THE GUN COMPANY'S ARE THE "SCAPEGOAT" WE ALL KNOW THIS. BUT WE NEED THE PARENT'S OF EACH AND EVERY CHILD TO CALL FOR IMMEDIATE (METAL DETECTORS) IN EACH AND EVERY SCHOOL EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!! THAT'S THE ONLY WAY WE CAN WIN THIS DEMOCRATIC WAR CAMPAIGN AGAINST GUNS. THEY ARE TRYING TO DISARM ALL AMERICANS FOR THEIR NWO TAKEOVER. AND THESE PARENT'S NEED TO GET ON SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE TWITTER REDDIT FACEBOOK WHAT'SUP KZhead...etc... AND PROTEST RALLYS MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD ON THE NEWS EVERYDAY. ONLY THE PARENT'S CAN SAVE THERE OWN CHILDREN. IF THEY JUST PEACEFUL PROTEST MARCH IN THE STREETS.... UNTIL WE GET THESE (METAL DETECTOR'S) IN EACH AND EVERY SCHOOL EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY... THEY SAVE JUDGES LIVES EVERYDAY... AND PEOPLE AT THE AIRPORTS LIVES EVERYDAY.... IT'S SIMPLE COMMON SENSE PEOPLE!!! DON'T ALLOW THE DEMOCRATS LIBERALS TO BRAINWASH YOU. PLEASE MENTION THIS TO ALL TOUR LOYAL LISTENERS FANS FRIENDS...etc... AND HAVE THEM PUT THE PRESSURE ON Joe Biden. Mitch McConnell. Joe Manchin...etc... And all of these other politicians that think it would be easier to get in bed with the Democrat's and just give in, Please Understand This is the road to the end of civilization as we know it... If they give in it's the road to the end of civilization here in America!!! We are being systematically stripped of all of our freedom's and Constitutional Rights, soon they will all be gone!!! We cannot allow this to happen! Please get out the word. The voters are the only ones that can stop this, it's an election year coming up. Thank you for all of your help and support with this Simple Life Saving Approach To Combating Guns Getting Into Our SCHOOLS. These Metal Detectors will keep the guns out. And our children SAFE... DON'T LET THE DEMOCRATS LIBERALS TELL YOU THE METAL DETECTORS ARE TO EXPLETIVE... ASK THE WHAT ARE OUR CHILDRENS LIVES ARE WORTH TO THEM??? ANSWER THAT QUESTION. President Biden? Nancy Pelosi? Chuck Schumer? Mitch McConnell? Joe Manchin?...etc... And all the rest of these Political WIND BAGS that are in it for their own agendas to wipe out guns instead of saving OUR Children's Lives!!! PARENT'S DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!! FIGHT HARD FOR YOUR CHILDREN!!! BRING THE FIGHT TO THE SENATE FLOOR IF NEED BE... GET YOUR 15 MINUTES OF FAME... SAVING THE LIVES OF YOUR CHILDREN. BECOME OUTRAGED BEFORE THE NEXT SCHOOL SHOOTING HAPPENS.... REMEMBER THIS IS THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!!! WE THE PEOPLE MADE IT THIS WAY. • Here is why it will never happen. All the multitudes of weak, touchy feely teachers, board members and education leaders are scared to death that if Teachers were allowed to be armed in todays youth society and the lack of respect the youth has for its teachers would see a time when a youth got up in a teachers face and drove that teacher to such anger that he/she pulled out the gun and shot the kid. This of course is the most extreme of scenario but I can promise you this has crossed every one of those in charges minds. They figure its not worth the risk of even one incident vs the benefits of being able to stop an active shooter. Because of this I fear arming teachers in schools will never happen.

    • If no one ever knew which teachers had them then the idea that all of them could be armed could serve as deterrent. In theory anyway. For those that do plan it out. If someone is mentally unstable, as has been yet another debated question , they likely wouldn’t think it through in that manner. Also you’d have to be sure that if the worst case scenario occurred that teacher wouldn’t hesitate to use it & drop a student/ kid. Also what would be rules of Engagement? Would they have to wait to be fired at , and then could only return fire in self defense of them and the students. What if someone pulls a gun out & threatens everyone but hasn’t fired it ? It’s 1 of of 100 or 1000 questions the whole idea creates. But the worst thing is the fact we are even having this idea & discussion! Which can lead to more thoughts about arming cashiers/workers at Walmart, grocery stores, McDonald’s, etc… everywhere because these tragedies are occurring everywhere. And if it’s not many that were killed, it just makes local news as another murder(s), particularly in major cities where unfortunately most people have become so used to seeing it on news it’s as normal as watching the traffic & weather reports before going to work.

And if a shooter ends up on your campus, remember that you're a teacher. You signed up for this so you didn't have to fight. And if that shooter enters your room, remember you're a teacher. You don't want a gun to fight back. That's not what you do, right? I'm a teacher and this line of argument infuriates me. The idea that parents will trust me to shape, mold, and prepare their youth for the real world, but automatically assume I am not fit to defend the lives of their children is mind-boggling. The assumption that, since I'm a teacher I do not want that responsibility is utterly absurd and even insulting. I would die for my students, but in a nightmare situation like an active shooter, I'd much rather have the option to kill another person to keep my students safe. Hands down, no contest.

When he made the comment that the reason they shouldn’t be armed is simply because they’re teachers, I got a sour taste in my mouth. It is the same sour taste in my mouth from every moment a male has told me I shouldn’t be carrying a full frame pistol, simply because I’m a small frame female. It implies that teachers are ONLY teachers, and are incapable of being sufficiently trained in other facets of life. I homeschool my children, and choose not to utilize my degree, as there are too many politics in school curriculum (from both sides of politics). I am more than just a teacher. I am a mother, a teacher, an amateur chef, a live in maid, a first aid provider to my family, an amateur dog trainer to my pets, and a protector. I am trained to conceal carry a firearm, and I also have a degree to teach. The implication that the two facets can’t coexist is close minded and contributes to the problem. Does that mean that a champion boxer is incapable of being gentle with his wife, or that a police officer runs their home like a prison, or a doctor is incapable of being a good cook? When it’s put into perspective the implied ideal that he provided can become obviously ridiculous.

    @brandonpeterman9964@brandonpeterman99644 жыл бұрын
    • No, you may not even need to show ID. Maybe you are thinking of an FFL dealer and you were purchasing pistols? Because shotguns/rifles can be purchased out of state (fun fact on lack of documentation, you may need to ask for a receipt scribbled on a napkin if you want a purchase receipt, they obviously don’t need a sales note, just your cash). Maybe California or NY? But that’s not the rules for most of the country (California and NY pretty much disarm their citizens which allows and really makes crime easy without any resistance and far too few cops to enforce it, so it’s horribly unsafe compared to most places, but what did they expect?)

      @jakegarrett8109@jakegarrett81094 жыл бұрын
    • @@jakegarrett8109 Buyers must show ID for private gun sales. Private sales are only legal between residents of the same state. The seller must ask for the buyer's ID as proof of residence as well as proof of age. The seller often notes the buyer's name to cover the seller's own @ss just in case the gun is used in a crime later. (It is also advisable for the buyer to know the seller's name just in case the gun was linked to an earlier crime.) Did you sell a gun without demanding to see the buyer's ID as proof of state residence, Jake? If you purchased a gun in a private sale you should have insisted on showing your ID to the seller as a gesture of good faith.

      @oscargrouch7962@oscargrouch79624 жыл бұрын
    • Oscar Grouch One massive flaw with that, making it utterly pointless to even check: there is no age requirement for purchasing long guns in private sales, nor is background check required. Additionally you are not legally required to have an ID to be a citizen of the United States, it’s simply not a requirement. But even if you did, it’s not really needed (“good faith” as you say is not a legal requirement, similarly I wouldn’t ask my neighbor for his ID, if someone seemed sketchy as hell I probably just wouldn’t buy or sell to them, but that’s just a preference). Source for age requirements: www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/politics-101/375154-what-are-the-current-age-restrictions-on-guns%3famp

    • @@jakegarrett8109 There is one massive flaw with that, Jake; it is not my law. There may be slight variations among states but that is standard in nearly every state. Some states require all private handguns sales to be processed through an FFL. You better review your state law before you buy or sell a gun in private sale. It is always the right of the seller to refuse to sell a gun even if not written into law. I know I would not be foolish enough to sell a gun to anyone I did not know if they refused to show ID. Would you be foolish enough, Jake? Obviously your neighbor is a state resident (unless you live near a state border).
