AWESOME - I also bought pvc as it will last longer than wood. Love the green - natural color. Good job. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I will definitely go this route 💪 much cheaper than traditional fencing and I can definitely do this with little to no help 😂 amazing!!!
I like the gate. I'm going to watch that video. I can figure it out myself but still want to watch your video. I'm going to check on doing my fence like this. I bought the white stakes with the metal point at the bottom as I have used them before. But, I was in a hurry and didn't see the plastic fencing. I'm going back tomorrow. Thank you for the PVC fence post idea.
Great information and it is great to find another fellow Floridan! Go NOLES!!!!
Thank you for this video! I need to build a temporary fence to complete my backyard until we can build a new fence and this was helpful. I was so happy to 1. Find WOMEN doing a home improvement project video and 2. See your greyhound because I am building a fence for my greyhound too!
You're welcome! You have a greyhound? They are the best, right?! -Steph
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Loved, loved, loved seeing that greyhound! My family had a beautiful blue brindle female who lived a long life with us. She was quite big and tall for a female. We had a 3.5' wood picket fence and she never tried to jump over or escape. She was an absolute joy.
I'm definitely going to try this. It's for my puppy so it'll do temporarily 😊
Great idea and video has very easy step by step instructions. PVC gate way cool! 😎
Wow! Great idea! Thanks for this!
You two are adorable! Greta video!
I am so glad your eye is ok.
Thanks!
This is perfect thank you for sharing
Great presentation, Great Video!! Thank you, for this. I have 2 dogs, wood privacy fenced back yard. In my 24 yrs living here, have never seen so much MUD as I have this year. My older dog has to 'patrol the perimeter' she's a 'Working dog' and needs the exercise, but I cannot keep all the mud off of her. Tried dog booties, only a little help, doesn't keep mud off her undercarriage. Her 'patrol path' is just ridiculous muddy, so I decided to look into temporary fencing to block her normal 'patrol path', until I can grass reseeded there and covered in straw and have some grass grow back, too early to plant grass where I live, and will likely leave the temporary fencing up, till at least mid-summer, until I have healthy grass again. 5 Stars out of 5 for your video!!
That's a great use for this! Thanks so much for sharing Rachel!
This is great exactly what I needed thanks much!
Ummm….THANK YOUUUU!!! I have been searching for a solution to temporarily sectioning off my side yard to give my younger chicks more room before we introduce them to the 4 big hens! This is perfect!
Awesome! So glad we could help!
Thank you so much! Awesome video
Love it.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I just got a greyhound and we are renters so this is perfect!!!!
Congrats! Greys are the best! I share more about mine on my second channel: kzhead.info/tools/wqu8TFt0o0UJYL33QUloAg.html
Nice solution. You're right. What a good dog! 🤣🤣🤣
The best!
They're so use to us picking it up they know where to go..😁
Cheap and best idea 👌👌
Yes, thanks
Thanks.
This is a great solution for me. Im renting so need temp solution to keep dogs out of some rocks
Thanks so much for this awesome video!! How strong are the pvc pipes as posts for a large dog?
I love it thank you
Im gonna tried to make for my chickens 🐔 on my back yard
Great idea!
Love seeing a mother-daughter team DIYing! Mom, you are a beautiful lady, your daughter is lucky to have good genes. I came across this researching to install a temp fence for 2 small Chihuahua fosters I just got. I like your design very much, but given that I'm temporarily fostering I'm going with 2' chicken wire fence secured to 2' sharpened wood stakes. Figured it might be quicker and cheapter. I can get twelve 2' stakes at Lowes for $6 and a 50' roll of 2' high chicken wire for $9. I'll either zip tie or staple the chicken wire to the stakes. 2' fence will be plenty high as these dogs are only 6 lbs each and they are pretty chill. One suggestion I have for your fence project is to consider laying the bottom 6-12" on the ground in front of the post and secure it down with landscape pins (25 for $4). This would probably stop little diggers.
Thanks so much Priscilla! Great ideas- thanks for sharing!!
Isn't it great to love a dog or in my case dogs? 💘
Yes! 💜💙
Gt idea. Thnks
We will definitely build this fence for our new puppy we are getting. Could you put a link on here to show me how you built the gate. Thank you kindly

I may have missed it in the video but how did you secure the bottom to keep them from digging under? Thanks I want to build one for my cats 🐱 ☺️
We made an update video here: kzhead.info/sun/pbOPj8OoqICYhZs/bejne.html
Was wondering if you have any idea on making a fence like the one you made that's portable for camping
I would probably used the same netting with Everbilt 1 in. x 1 in. x 4 ft. White Step-In Fence Post.
Thanks! I'm following this video for a temporary fence in my backyard to shield the kids from the bbq (Theyre too fascinated with touching it whilst its cooking!) How would you go about installing a door or lockable entrance in it?
This is the gate we made for it: kzhead.info/sun/nKhyoc-ifIytops/bejne.html
What else can I use to cut Rebar since I don't have that tool? And what else can I use to cut PVC? Great video.
You can buy rebar in shorter amounts. That would be the easiest thing. Rebar is tough to cut without the right tool. PVC can also be cut with a miter box and hand saw. They might also cut it for you at the store.
My Danes would run up a steep hill after deer. I'm going to try this out
I was thinking the same thing this morning and saw your video. How long is the longest you have left it up and was the structure complete even then?
We made an update video a year later: kzhead.info/sun/pbOPj8OoqICYhZs/bejne.html
I have a greyhound too
Awesome!! What's your greys name? I share a lot more about my greys on my second channel: kzhead.info/tools/wqu8TFt0o0UJYL33QUloAg.html
I love this idea but I’m trying to figure out what I can do in my mom’s backyard so when my grand children come over they can swim in a little pool that I bought them and I can keep them safe because we are surrounded by roads and traffic
Hello so can I get all the building material from Lowe's or home Depot?
Yeah, most hardware stores should carry it.
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY thank you
What was the approx. spacing for each of the fence posts?
Yes, how far did you place the posts apart?
What about a dog that may try to get out under the temporary fence?
I would not use this for any dog you have a concern about going over or under the fence. I have two greyhounds and they have never shown an interest in trying to get over or under the fence. We are posting an update video to this on Wednesday that will show a way to secure this to the ground better.
I’m so sorry to be this person… I really am. BUT 😂 but I would replace the pipes with 2x4 woods at least. The pipe is good to keep the small dogs in, but bad at keeping big dogs out
Won’t keep my Boston Terrier in. He’s a jumper and a digger!! 🙁
Is this strong enough??
For us, yes, and we have hurricanes here in FL and have not had issue.
Mack (spelling?) is a GREAT supervisor....especially knowing to take a potty break whenever and never needing permission LOL Any problems using just a small portion of rebar with the long pvc? We get some pretty good winds up where I live (south central PA) and would be concerned the pvc may come off the rebar. Did you glue it on? This might be a great thing for me to do around the garden(s) even though the deer are nowhere near as good as your dog!
Haha, yes Mac is a great supervisor! She always has to have her nose in our projects :) No problems with the rebar and PVC. The PVC fits really sung so we did see a need glue. I can tell you it holds up well. We just had a tornado come through (very heavy winds!) and the fence is in perfect shape! A big limb fell on it but didn't damage it at all. -Steph
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Well that settles it, I am going to have to see about doing this around the garden! Low cost fence that might help keep all the blowing leaves out will be cool!
