SUZUKI SWIFT SPORT Review - What I LIKE and HATE
The Suzuki Swift Sport is a sporty city car with a 1.4 L Boosterjet Turbocharged Engine and mild hybrid assistance. It produces 129 hp and 235 Nm of torque. Despite the fact that it weighs just over a tonne, it does 0-62 mph in 9.1 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph.
The Swift Sport can achieve 50 mpg so it appears to be more sensible than sporty, great for pottering about the city centre. But when you take the Swift Sport out of the city it's slightly... different. While on the motorway the Swift does appear to be out of its element a little, it's on the bendy tarmac that it excels. With sharp steering and low weight the fun-factor is always there.
Alongside all of this, we must remember that the market in which the Suzuki Swift Sport sits is getting smaller and smaller, with other vehicles being discontinued, or evolving into (currently unpopular) fully electric cars.

I got the same car, 0-100 i've done 7.6 completly stock, combied power is 129hp and the hybrid system 14hp. Wind noise is the only negative about the car which can be easily fixed with some insulation materials. Great car for daily use.
Yeah that 0-100 time is what most people are seeing with this car. It's a great car because its simple, you get good fuel economy, and it's easy to park. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
My friend it’s not only for daily use you can use it for long distance trips very well
@@alto6 I've never said it isn't, I have 30k km in a year and a half mostly on highways. Only thing it lacks it a better soundproof but i'll done that soon!

The non hybrid is lighter, faster and less expensive. Fantastic car.
But it consumes more fuel and has a few little feature less, not a huge deal but still to consider
Whitch one would you say is better the hybrid or the non hybrid?
@@alexadra8ko299 non hybrid will always be better. Ignore the butthurt hybrid owners
Pointless in hybrid version why bother. The standard booster jet is hardly uneconomical.
Good video
Thank you
Hi, nice review. No silly background music. I have the non hybrid soort and hsve now covered 18000, trouble free miles, Suzuk reliability 👍. Build quality is pretty good, remember this is not an expensive car. I agree with your opinion of the Android Auto. Sometimes easy to connect, sometimes not 🤔. I regularly get 50+ mpg, I always use super unleaded petrol, Shell V Power or equivalent whenever I can. As regards performance she regularly puts the wind up much more expensive, powerful cars, the light weight is a real boon there. Colin Chapman knew what he was talking about! My biggest compliment with the car is the paint. It looks lovely, but it marks and scratches very easily and is very thin! Would I buy another, definitely YES. My local Suxuki Garage assures me that this Hybrid model is just as fast as mine(well I guess they would) and can better it's mpg. As long as the battery is fully charged it flies. Thanks very much. 👍
I couldn't have put it better myself. It is a rewarding car to drive and makes sense to buy. I had trouble with the Android auto, maybe because I have a Huawei, what phone do you have?
@@Naveed4Speed Hi, I have an Oppo 'phone. Just at the end of the contract now. I think I will keep it for 12 Months on SIM only. My car isn't used very much, average around 4500 miles a year. I also have a WW2 jeep which I use as much as possible if the weather is ok😃👍
That's so cool! 👏
The non hybrid swift sports regularly dyno at over 150bhp It also weighs a quarter of a tonne less than a fiesta st
So it's a lot better than we think 🤔
@@Naveed4Speed seriously considering one, CTC run one with 260bhp
Very nice review, however here in New Zealand we don’t get the Sport in the hybrid version. This doesn’t bother me at all, in fact it is a blessing. The standard Sport is 970kg I think. I get a consistent 5.8lt/100 if I behave. I can also do a 0-100 km/h in 6.2 sec so yes, it is always fun when the person in the lane next to me is shocked. These vehicles are seriously underrated and underestimated. My son and I go camp often with our Swift, space is not the end of the world and is hardly anything to complain about. What I do want to complain about is the fact that the car can only use 95 octane, nothing else. In NZ, this fuel is getting up there in price. This fuel is also not available everywhere and this is my biggest gripe. My last complaint would be the rear view mirror placement, I find that I have to dip my head in order to see to my left. Being that as it may, this is a wonderful little car, nippy and powerful, I love it.
The Swift really did surprise me! Camping in a Suzuki Swift? I have to try that! That's a great idea for a future video! I'll let you know how I get on if I get around to it! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I hope that you enjoy my future videos! Thank you.
The swift sport looks sweet. I'll buy one just to zoom around the city.😅
Do it! Zoom zoom 🚙
Swift sport compares with VW up GTi
While that is true I think the Swift Sport Hybrid can go toe to tie with the heavier Polo GTI
Nice car sporty looks and reliable very practical ❤
I agree 👍
One correction the bootlid is 265 liters
Yes this is true, I'm not sure why I said under 250 litres. Maybe I got confused with a previous generation Swift
@@Naveed4Speed no problem ! i recently bought that car and its simply amazing! fast engine nice sport look outside and inside and very good brakes! its just a rocket !!! value for money
That's awesome! It is a nice car with great sporty style. I hope you enjoy it
