  • That was better than most of my controlled landings...

  • That's why I haven't used Deans in 20 years. As they age, they oxidize and resistance goes way up. They're also prone to just getting dirty. Don't use Deans. The plane looks good! It's very stable.

  • It landed so well for that it wasn't controlled. It works and flyes super nicely and for the hand launch maybe put those dimples in the bottom as you've done with other planes in the past? Cheers 👍💪✌

  • Amazingly it didn't tumble after the power outage. It's really just bonkers how it managed to stay "upright" with a slight glide for a soft enough touchdown. A90 is just big, one bad toss and it's toast. I'd still go after some type of gear, even if it's not retracts. Great video, awesome that it flies well. AirHammer out!!

  • I started RC in the late 80s and I have never seen a plane lose power and RC control and land like better than you could have if you were actually trying to land it yourself! That was awesome plus that thing flies freaking great

  • Make sure that the Canards are at least 1 or 2 degrees down. Neutral will fly but slight down angle on the canards will stabilize it like you won't believe and the CG will still be the same.

  • I have since switch from Dean to HXT 60 or 90. Dean goes high resistance over use. Lost my drone due to poor dean connectors.

  • Just answered a question for me thank you.. . I bought a 90mm mirage second hand and the previous owner has used 10a house wiring between the EDF and the ESC. I was wondering if it would matter if those wires got a little hot 😅

  • Lucky break on the power loss situation. It looks like a fun plane. I need to print a couple parts for my J10 50 and give it another shot.

  • You need to make a DIY PVC pipe bungee launcher for your EDFs. I built one for 30 dollars that breaks down and fits into a small duffel bag or even a grocery bag. Plenty of Videos on KZhead or RC groups on how to make one step by step all from homedepot or Lowes parts. You can focus on the controls with both hands. Worth every penny as have never had a bad launch ever since. (Knock on wood, lol) But I do see you finally invested in an autopilot that works on prayer for brownout emergency landings. So crazy, lol.

    @hinkepank1239@hinkepank123919 күн бұрын
    • Deans is an older type of plug and the only reason tonot forget about them is remembering to avoid them. The male ones are a dark red plastic piece with two metal prongst sticking out, one horizontal, one vertical, also known as "T connector".
