  • Truly amazing with the X8R and 5.8g video which works well and looks good enough to. I too am still using, well the RX8R with the UNI-RX - Universal ACCST firmware which is working well, but then again I don't do long, long range. I like flying and poking at the the edge of LOS and blending into nature so as to soar with soaring birds. Another interest is flying safely in my residential environment along safe corridors such as drainage ditches and green spaces along with using quiet air frame and motor configurations such as the twin tractor so as to avoid disturbing people. Using redundant and well penetrating video and control rf frequency and methods in such dense 2.4g and 5.8g RF environments. Being able to fly at a low enough altitude to absolutely negate the possibility of conflict with low level helicopter traffic. Another goal is programming a safe rth in confined air spaces possibly requiring a smallish VTOL of the Ranger T1 configuration except using Ed's and your building material and methods. Thanks for demonstrating safe longer stuff in which our communities have been doing safely since before 2010.

  • Hello, would you be intrested in making a DIY video in which will you do a step by step guide for making a fpv system in your aircraft, as well as lighting system?

    @dominiq4343@dominiq434310 ай бұрын
    • All that information has already been given in his video's, minus the INAV programming, Just read the literature. The lighting systems require no special knowledge or programming, you just buy what he did and install it. Again, that is also in his video's.

  • I built this plane based on your previous video, but with a foamboard Experimental Airlines foamboard wing. I put landing gear on as I don't like hand launching pusher planes. It is SO efficient and fun to fly. With a 3300mah 4S battery I'm getting easy 15 minute LOS flights. I want to experiment with making my own batteries soon - then I can really push the flight times. Thanks so much for an awesome design!

    • I started putting together Li-Ions last year, and they've taken over. Not only do they have gobs of capacity, but you can build packs specific to each plane if you're looking to get as much battery in the air as possible, or have unique CG requirements. Molicel branded cells are my suggestion, especially their 21700's if they'll fit your models.

  • Is the lack of some light, plastic winglets, due to a judgment in; Slightly more drag, but more lift, VS the lower drag with rounded edge wing tips? The landing was classic, coming to a stop right in front of you. Have you considered using the Team Black Sheep Unify Video Tx? Or are you up against a power law, where you are already at maximum power? Perhaps the build quality alone of the TBS transmitter could get you more range. Staying at 800mW of power. I want to say, I appreciate your adding the connection diagram. The only difference between our connections, is I'm using a separate battery for anything video, to reduce possible noise transfer on the power buss's. Great job.
