Best design - Pixel 6 Pro. I have the Sorta Sunny model from say one and now the Porcelain Pixel 8 Pro. They should've stuck with the black visor look. Super unique.

Definitely agree. I've had all the latest pixels and the black visor look was the best. Every one since has been a step backwards.
To each, their own. The black visor stands out a bit too much on the light-colored phones - making it look like duct tape stuck onto it. I currently have the P6 Pro.

I agree. In recent years, I found the improvements of smartphones to be rather minor. I ain't seeing great technology leaps... so it's not worth spending a fortune on it .

Google should learn how to fix Tensor G sensor issue, poor performance, overheating, battery drain. Portrait mode still remains suck for object edge detection.
Tensor not only allows Google to save money but data mine more efficiently. Google could go the Fairphone route by having Qualcomm create a custom chip but it wouldn't save them as much money as repurposing Exynos processors from Samsung.
I use the zoom function on my 6 pro a lot to capture distant wildlife. I would love even more zoom. Have they made that available in the 7 or 8 pro?
Both 7 pro and 8 pro has 5x zoom and your 6 pro has 4x zoom lenses. I own a 7 pro and must say i was finding zoom on my previous 6 pro better, definitely was sharper

I have the pixel 7 pro it’s a good phone I really like to have the pixel 8 pro but I rather wait on the pixel 9 pro towards end of 2024 I think it will out do the 8 & pervious pixels the hardware should be better on the 9 series I’m hoping
I am the same, own 7 pro but being tempted to get new 8 oro. I know it would be a waste of money cos 8 pro is only slightly better, I will try to wait for 9 pro .
Interesting. That 7-year software support on the 8 series is pretty worth it if you're looking to hold your phone for a while.

But if you meant why there are software features on the 8 series that are not in the 7 even if they're supported long-term in terms of software, then it's because Google needs to give the 8 series the upper hand in selling point. @@I3loodeyed I get ya. The software support is usually custom to your unit. But still, 5 to 7 years is big. Unlike the previous decade when android phones only got 2 years of android upgrades + a year or so of security updates, the 5 to 7 year promise is already huge for people who want to hang on to their phones. The only unanswered question is, in those 5 to 7 years, how many Android OS updates will you get?

I went from a P6P to a P8P. And the only reason I upgraded is because the modem issue in my P6P.
My pixel 4 Xl still kicks the pants off any other phone I've owned, and besides the wear and tear, there's no reason to upgrade. My 4 XL often out performs many newer iphones.

I have 7 pro and will never get another pixel. It warms ,many times maps waze don't want to work. It looks like the chip is not strong enough,and the phone freezes and I have to restart again.
I honestly think KZheadrs have a vested interest in pushing Pixel phones since Google owns KZhead.

My pixel 4a is amazing I've had it since it came out and it still works great the only thing since I had it 3 years the battery is degrading. Idk if I should get a new battery and learn how to replace it or get a pixel 7 I just use it for pictures, management of my business Facebook page Instagram and watching KZhead.
@@cobaltblue5523 7 pro is heating a lot when I use gps for Uber driving. It freezes and I have to restart many times. I noticed maybe the chip is not too powerful. If I don't drive and use gps a lot my phone would be ok.
