    • Of course there will be less. Nobody wants to commute 12+hrs one way to wrench for a few days just to go back and have their own projects waiting. It's why Questionable Garage (Formerly Wrench Everyday) is now Jared's channel only. They're still buddies, just no longer partners like they used to be. It's all good though, I'm sure he'll still come around.

Does the Mercedes-Benz have its manual gearbox swapped in? And what's up with the Porsche? My advice, attack one project at a time, to completion, then move on to the next. Nice R32💪

    • You seem very quick to forget that Tavarish has done some very impressive rebuilds over the years. Like the McLaren, several Lambos, a couple HellCat swaps, supras. Not every project is going to be doable.

      @jonathanfairchild@jonathanfairchild Жыл бұрын
    • This is a common problem on many YT car channels. The reveal videos get the most views and that doesn't motivate finishing the projects. Also the lack of project management and ability to look ahead is a major contributor. In TV car shows they plan the whole project ahead and order all the parts beforehand before they even start filming.

I was hoping to see what you did with this one as I did mine, but completely get the balance of time and $$$ it would take away from you. • Nooooo! There's so much potential! You guys need a copy of the parts exchange list for the Lotus. Lotus used a lot of parts bin parts like the brakes, half shafts, etc. The brakes next to the transmission required some customized parts but not that big of a deal. The Lotus used a fiberglass ERM process which made the fiberglass frame incredibly stiff and durable. So may seem unsafe, but it's not.

Once he got the Esprit in my opinion of the show definitely went up a notch - fixing the more modern cars is cool, but a genuine classic supercar? That is next level. Alas, I guess Tavarish, Jack et al managed to find their limit, which I suppose is respectable. So losing the Lotus is sad, but understandable. Alas, after the clean up they started talking about the Mercedes S-Class. Sorry, but I had to skip that part... I know Mercedes has its fans, but an S-class vs a Lotus Esprit for interest factor? • Dangit! I probably asked about the status on the Lotus in the comments of a couple of videos. I was super interested in seeing what a Tavarish-version would look like, since I really like the overall styling of your cars. The new totally not revealed car was a good band-aid. ;-)

Btw, the Italics not moving with the Nissan was hilarious. Just had the biggest laugh! Well with Jack by your side, Somethings may really get done.

    • I would assume that those Craftsman tool chests are ... worth every penny, but also kinda expensive. I suspect you may find it worthwhile to give up some features to get a lower price. Over on Wrench Every Day (recently changed name to The Questionable Garage), Jarred and Tavarish did several comparison tests of inexpensive tool sets and tool boxes, and perhaps something there is a better fit. On the other hand, if you expect to be using them a lot in the future, maybe it is worth a bit extra to get much nicer chests. I have never known of anyone who bought Craftsman chests and was disappointed in them, and most of the folks I've known who had a place dedicated to working on their vehicles bought Craftsman chests.

    • This is a common problem on many YT car channels. The reveal videos get the most views and that doesn't motivate finishing the projects. Also the lack of project management and ability to look ahead is a major contributor. In TV car shows they plan the whole project ahead and order all the parts beforehand before they even start filming.
