You can't get much luckier than the World Tour did this year in Tahiti, when the trials and finals days were greeted with huge, perfect Teahupo'o. For STAB's Ashton Goggans and the rest of the No Contest crew, Stop #7 of the 2019 WSL Championship Tour was pure gold. From the nuclear tow sets during the Tahiti Pro trials to the lesser known breaks hiding around nearby corners, this year was as good as it gets for pro surfing. If you watch one No Contest episode, this is the one.

  • Sick video! Loved the Tahitian ceviche at the end. We have something similar in the Philippines called kinilaw, but wildly different proportions of coconut milk and citrus/vinegar). I'll definitely be experimenting with this! We even have the same stools to grate coconut meat. That coconut cracking technique is DOPE. I've never seen that and will be trying it at the next opportunity (we don't really remove the husk here). Pretty cool to see the same island cultures doing same same but different.

  • I'm from the island of Guam, Hafa Adai🤙🏽 we make a very similar dish as the one they made with tuna. We call it "ke'la'guen." Except we add hot peppers to it. You can even kelaguen chicken too, not raw chicken of course. But you bbq the chicken 3/4 of the way then let the lemon/lime cook the rest👌🏽 salt to your taste and even throw in some of that graded coconut meat. Its bomb.
