Night Engine Run: P 63 King Cobra

The Night Engine Run was an exclusive VIP event for airshow photographers at World War II Weekend, only 50 applicants were admitted. Three historic aircraft were moved on to the flight line after dark and lit up with cinema quality spotlights, then the engines were started and allowed to run at full throttle for several minutes while staff & licensed photographers took long exposures of the spinning props. I was one of the cameras on the field and captured a video on my phone while I was shooting with my DSLR. This is only the 3rd year this has been allowed in 32 years of the airshow. Big thanks to the Reading Airport, the Mid Atlantic Air Museum media staff and last but not least, the FAA for making this happen.
