Still think the F16 is the most beautiful plane ever built. F22 close but F16 is so stout, sharp and looks like a beefed up razor. The engine inlet on the bottom is so iconic.

I've seen many KZhead videos of F-16 Fighting Falcons in the past years. But I only saw this jet, up close and personal yesterday here in Isabela province. When the pilot of this jet flying almost over me at low altitude maybe 30 meters obove the mountain that I stood. Great job fellas. Hopefully, he will come back today for another training exercise.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I can proudly say that am retired Air Force ::: I worked numerous hours overtime and weekends to keep these Birds flying as required.... Looking back on it now its such a good feeling watching these Videos.... Thanks To KZhead and the Air Force...

The company I worked for engineered and produced the leading edge flap actuators for the F-16. I began there as a machinist and finished my career as Production Manager. Traveled to General Dynamics FW and Ogden Utah ALC. I am proud to have been a part of producing this magnificent multi-role fighter.
The front flaps typically found on military jets are known as slats.

I worked avionics on the A/B model just down the road from Shaw at McEntire ANGB. Won Gunsmoke (predecessor to Hawgsmoke) twice. Very reliable aircraft.
My favourite jet fighter of all-time. I remember when I first saw it in a military book my grandfather gave me. I fell in love with it immediately. That red, white and blue colour scheme was enough to get me hooked for life. I still can't believe it's been around nearly 50 years. I'm still amazed at the fact that it's 1st flight was unplanned
I remember the YF-16 too. It looked weird to me with those blended leading edge wing roots starting way up front on the nose, nothing like the Century Series, F-4, or the new F-15A and TF-15A. The FSD birds with the black radomes and grey paint scheme were more palatable to my eyes, as was the camouflaged YF-16 #2.
The F-16 Lockheed Martin is still a wonderful fighter aircraft, It is not surprising why they have so many updated versions but with the same avionics.

Technology like this is something truly spectacular. Think about it, a giant metal bird capable of reaching speeds known by very few other methods of transport, carrying weapons capable of doing heavy damage to most structures, and yet, humans made it. Imagine taking one of these back in time to the Renaissance era and showing the people of that time one of these creations.

Allow me the space to salute General Dynamics for having manufactured one of the best high tech multi-role fighters the world has seen. The F-16 has and will remain a legend of the skies. I fell in love with this bird from the day the Israelis demonstrated its combat combat capabilities during the bombing of Saddam's nuclear reactor at Baghdad. I think the military in India also deserve respect. They have handled the Chinese incursions into their country with bravery and courage. You folks are the first line of defense for the rest of the free world if and when China starts to really flex its military muscles. But you won't be alone.
@@rickyricardo4168 But sadly we are in very bad situation as Pakistan has always been supporting China recently Afghanistan has also become unstable due to taliban and China has always been a pain due to its expansionist policies.
@@advikgupta6296 Don't worry you would have your friends along side as fast as they could deploy if needed. There are lots of friendly forces in the South China Sea already keeping the area from being swallowed up by China, so some help is close by already. The US, Japan, Britain and even Canada ( I am Canadian) and although we aren't much of a military power we would have your back.

@@advikgupta6296 Thanks but it is up to all of us those that wish to live free to come down on the side of whats right and to join with others to protect those that can not protect themselves. I agree it is horrible what is going on in Afghanistan. I believe that a mistake was made pulling troops out so quicky. Not only that, if you have invested so much blood and treasure why do so in the first place or at least wait till the Afghan troops were completely in a position to meet the threat head on themselves. There are people all over the world that live under threat each and everyday from tyranny. Most of us want only peace and the ability to live in harmony with each other, however, as sad as it is sometimes that can only be accomplished by standing up to those that wish to take that away from us, no matter the cost we must pay. It is no different then standing up to the school bully or one at work. I am not a proponent of world government but I can see where an elite force made up of troops from countries such as ours would be of benefit in situations like this. One that is highly mobile and well equipped to go quickly to intercede in these kind of things. The Afghan people should not have to face this kind of situation alone as if nothing else their lives should be protected. Every human being on this planet deserves nothing less.
