Dubai floods: Why was the desert city hit with a torrential downpour?

2024 ж. 16 Сәу.
98 594 Рет қаралды

Several Arabian Peninsula countries are recovering after days of flash flooding across the region, killed 20 people and shut down one the world's busiest airports.
But what triggered the torrential downfall that brought on the deadly floods in this tropical desert paradise? Experts say it could have been exacerbated by climate change.
Global’s Kyle Benning has more on the storm, it's causes, and if people in the region can expect similar weather to strike again.

    • @@icyclestick178 Why do climate change alarmists believe that CO2 levels causing the Earth to warm a bit is an existential threat? Haven't any of you ever heard of the Little Ice Age, or the Medieval Warm Period, or the Dark Ages, or the Roman Warm Period? Are you even aware that millions of years ago, atmospheric CO2 levels were roughly 20 times higher than they are now, and plant and animal life thrived? Ask yourself why greenhouse farmers use CO2 generators to raise CO2 levels several times higher than current atmospheric levels. None of the alarmists want to think of things like that at all. They actually live in a closed doom loop, reject anything that doesnt dovetail with their belief, and attribute every weather event to climate change. Some actually believe that the Earth is going to burst into flames if the temperature raises another degree or so.

  • There is a beautiful saying: wherever there is rain, water spreads and life flourishes more. The United Arab Emirates will become, in the coming years, a land of rivers and lakes. The recent rains have revealed many river paths, watershed areas, and natural lakes that were in the past full of fresh water, and in the coming years we will witness water wealth. It is large in the United Arab Emirates, and this presents a great opportunity for significant growth in the Emirates, whether in sustainable energy production, agriculture, tourism projects, or eco-tourism, and facing the challenges of climate change that the whole world will face, represented by increasing amounts of rain, floods, etc.

  • In Dubai's land of sand and sun, Where skyscrapers touch the sky, one by one, A tempest brews, a mighty roar, As heavy rain begins to pour. From azure skies, dark clouds descend, As nature's fury knows no end. The streets awash with rushing tide, As raindrops dance, no place to hide. Through winding roads and city streets, The deluge flows, no mercy meets. Buildings shrouded in misty shroud, As rain paints patterns, bold and proud. The desert city, now a sea, With waves of water, wild and free. Cars adrift, like ships at sea, In this unexpected watery spree. But amidst the chaos, a glimmer of light, As communities band together, strong and tight. Neighbors lend hands, hearts full of grace, In the face of nature's relentless embrace. For in Dubai, resilience reigns, As the city weathers storms and pains. Through floods and rains, it stands tall, A testament to the human spirit's call. So let the rain pour down, let it be, For Dubai rises, resilient and free. In the face of adversity, it shall thrive, A beacon of hope, in the storm's revive.

  • Because he died for your sins, repentance and seeking Jesus Christ lead to salvation. 1. Matthew 24:6-8 : "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." 2. Luke 21:25-26 : "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken." It's god's prophetic message Psalms 107:35 : "He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs." Isaiah 44:3 : "For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants." Isaiah 43:19 : "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
