How much did you sell it for!?
@@LewisRhymes The sword has not yet been sold. Need to eliminate minor flaws, and then open with a protective varnish.
Now do it with real gold
@@luistejada7142 there would be a lot of gold wasted due to all that sanding it wouldn’t be worth it to make it out of real gold.
@@mr.nightshade8465 you wouldnt lose much of it depending on how you sanded it down. maybe if it cost a 1000 dollars for the gold you would lose only 50 dollars in sanding. then selling it you could ask many thousands depending on how good it is. you always lose gold when making things out of it, thats just the way it is...........
This golden katana is immaculate. I've never seen a blade gleam in the sun like this brass sword. Well done
Thanks!
@@QRAFTtube ohh wow it was very beautiful
Pure brass...
It was nice until i read brass sword😂
The quotation marks around "gold katana" didn't give you a hint this wasn't gold, or a katana? @@user-dn6ey8kq8m
Sometimes I start thinking I'm a craftsman and then I see this. Absolutely amazing
Thanks.

There is nothing I could say that anyone else before me already hasn't...I have never been more amazed by something crafted like this! I've seen TONS of forging and casting videos...this tops them all!
Thank you so much, I really enjoy reading comments like this.
The level of craftsmanship and skill here is simply amazing
No it's not
As a Machinist/Welder/Fabricator/Mechanical Engineer with 35 years of on the job, I must say, that is one of the most beautiful works of art that I have ever seen.
Thank you so much!
Mechanical engineer saying this is a bit extreme. Sweet sword though.
@@bbltd.3154 That was the fabricator in me speaking.
The machinist and mechanical ingineer in me is saying. It's pretty and all but it has zero functionality. It will not stay sharp. You can't use it for anything except a video.
@@1gearwrench And that is why it is "art."
INCREDIBLE WORK man! That's amazing and the music really adds to the video. I'd love to see more videos on your channel.
dont let youtube or anyone else try to tell you your work is forgettable. it is not. you are what i hope to achieve. this is inspiration for me and should be for all of us. to create and not destroy. but this goes beyond creating, it is giving life its purpose. thank you so much for uploading.
Thanks!
That is absolutely that most beautiful Katana that I have ever seen and to watch it get created by you was a gift to us viewers. Thank you and well done sir. 👍
Beautiful work of Art. Ignore the haters. This is truly a masterpiece and anyone that is a lover of sword making and culture whether it be the Japanese Katana would appreciate your work. 🙏
Thank you so much!
This is absolutely beautiful. Truly a piece of art!!
That's a nice piece of work dude! I don't know how I found this video but I enjoyed it. The result is awesome! Keep it up!
Thank You!
Same bro I have no idea how I found this but I really just sat here and watched it and I must say I’m satisfied🤷🏾♂️
I came here from dashcam compilations and I’m super impressed
@@N1XHL lmao, same here!
I've never been in awe or impressed by anything made out of gold, but today I am in awe and am impressed....well done
Thank you!
not gold but brass
EXCEPTIONAL craftsmanship. Wonderful work brother. Everyone will appreciate this but especially us bladesmiths. I am truly blown away.
Thank you so much Bro!
So, this is what reaching a Pinnacle looks like. Like a symmetrical pearl to a clam. Your dedication will never be overlooked. Truly Impressed.

Fantastic work 👏👍👍👏👏 like my friend 🙂
Unbelievably beautiful. What incredible craftsmanship! Bravo!!
This was beautifully crafted, you made a stunning piece!
Thanks!
One of the best polish work I have not seen for a long time, good job
Stunning work, absolutely amazing !!
i've never seen a sword this beautiful your effort to this project was so amazing
Thank you!
😎Ⓜ️🐂
always enjoy watching people create something from nothing. as a carpenter myself, seeing something built right in front of you from pieces of wood always makes my customers smile, and of course, being paid when the work is finished means i have done a good job
That's beautiful! Very nice work!
At first I was ignorant and thought the wood was too thick, with out thinking of the casting needing to be finished after. The amount of effort you put in really shows, very fine finishing work and excellent finish! Really neat project!
Thank you!
That is the most amazing sword that I have ever seen and ive seen a lot of swords in my life. That sword should be in a museum that's how beautiful it is. If I had the money I would pay $10,000 for that work of art.
Absolutely beautiful results of your skills and craftsmanship.
Thanks!
at the start of the video I was skeptical but when the wet sanding started I really noticed how amazing it looked
Beautiful craftsmanship. Thank you for the effort and the video.
You are welcome!
i love watching these videos , wish i can have a masterpiece like this someday, good job
Thank you!
Realmente incrível, parabéns excelente trabalho.
Absolutely stunning craftsmanship bro. Hope to see another video again
Thank you!
the skill display is immaculate and the final product is sick!
Why do the idiots get millions of views? This guy is an artist of the trades, and needs recognition.
Beautiful. Only change I would do is to wrap the handle in the traditional Japanese katana way. Something in black and highlighted with golden thread to compliment the blade.
Love the way Brass polishes up. Brass junky here. I melt often.
Now that's a gift fit for a king, wow so immaculate and priceless work of art. By far the most incredibly perfect mantel display piece.
You can buy one at the dollar tree
Очень красиво ! А сколько труда вложено словами не передать я как мастер понимаю вас и восхищен вашей работой!
That's an incredible amount of work to make a wall hanger. Unfortunately it would probably shatter if you ever hit anything with it
It is more of a decorative element of the interior. it is a souvenir and not a weapon.
@@QRAFTtube I completely understand that that's why I said that it was a lot of work for a wall hanger
@@kevmon4273 it's the dude's passion, its art.
@@QRAFTtube waste of time and effort and an insult to the katana culture
@@YamamotoKazuo Okay
The craftsmanship is amazing. I truly appreciate this.
Thank you.
sometimes a project is just that a project but then all of a sudden we start a project and it becomes a part of us it comes not from our skill or our hands but from our very soul we can't explain it it just happens, breath taken beautyfull
You've hit the bull's-eye! You have described exactly my story related to this project. This project was not originally conceived as you see it, I wanted to do it as soon as possible, but since I am a perfectionist by nature, I usually do my work either very beautifully and efficiently, or not at all. so I decided to do it as ideally as possible, and spare no time and effort. Thanks!
_Крутая работа! Можно было ещё где-нибудь на рукоятке эмблему свою выгравировать._ 👍
Благодарю Вадим! Да на счёт авторского клейма были мысли, но не было особо времени его изобретать, решил оставить так..
Just imagine if this were pure gold! 🥇
Itd get destroyed, since pure gold is not very solid.
@@Susanoo449 I'm referring to the value.
@@docdee770 again, the value would decrease, because the sword wouldnt be solid, and it eventually break even by just being in a wall, No gold is Pure, because it is a slimy metal, we mix it with other metals do it stays solid.
@@Susanoo449 Hmmm? You learn something new everyday. 🤔
Finally a youtuber who can properly polish a sword
Hahaha 😆
can we all just appreciate how cool the wooden splitting katana is
that’s an amazing display of skill! next level! I am curious why you chose to model the entire thing, rather than just the blade, and use standard fittings for the tsuba and habaki?
Thanks! This sword was originally conceived as an imitation of the "golden katana". KZhead is already full of classic Katana swords, for originality, I decided to make this famous sword unusual, unique and not like most. The sword has a unique handle design, this is my authorship.
Handle and all add weight if going trains unsure unless just for shown or decoration on stand or mounted still look absolute beautiful uchi-katana.
This is a Masterpiece.. without a doubt one of the must beautiful Katana I've ever seen.. true it's not the weapon.. It's more like a piece of jewelry.. I congratulate you on your fine work.. and wish you all the best..
Thank you so much!
Ah, this brought back some memories. A few tips I can remember from Patternmaking trade school: Instead of just dumping the sand in on top of the pattern, sieve a fine layer of your sand in first, then top it off and pack. You can make it easier to pour the metal by scooping out a funnel shape in the sand around the top of the tube that forms the infeed before removing it. Interesting to see you form that after the sand is placed. We used to place the (tapered) tube first and pack the sand around it. Traditionally pattern makers would have a metal rod with screw thread in one end, when the box is split, they'd screw this into the pattern at about the center of the pattern, and then wrap it gently in a few different directions with a hammer, so that the pattern would come out of the sand without getting the breakaway at the edges. If it was a high volume part, they'd install a metal plate with a hole for this purpose in the pattern to take the wear and tear. Our 'boxes' were made of metal, functionally the same, though I note that the grooves in your wooden box to help hold the sand are very small compared to what was in ours, from memory, and they were a little deeper. You'd also cover the entire area around the pattern with plumbago, so that the mold would lift off the base board easily, then closing off the mold box wasn't necessary, the sand would stay in place by itself, which makes it very easy to break the casting out later. The way they applied plumbago was from some kind of porous linen bag, tapping it by hand dusted a wide area at once.
I'm so glad this video came up on my fyp! it's a beautiful katana you've made.
Thank you!
What a beautiful piece! Was it really a twelve month timeline? That's a huge time investment, but the end result is gorgeous! Well done! PS: Probably wouldn't cut through a turd, but I'm guessing it wasn't built to cut but more to display. I absolutely love it! 👍😎
Thanks! Yes, it's true, this sword was made for 12 months. a lot of time was spent filming, preparing, bad moments, etc. most of the work was done behind the scenes. the filming process and work on the sword all together took 12 months. This is not a combat sword, this is a souvenir, a decorative element of the interior, for a connoisseur of beautiful exclusive pieces. Forging a sword is no longer popular on KZhead, about this millions of videos, and I decided to do something unusual and unique.
@@QRAFTtube Forging a sword is no longer popular on KZhead? There are tons of videos of forged swords since this video came out with way more views.
Yes, unique (and artful). For my next sword, I'll use a railroad rail and cut out, and shape, some katanas. Would they need heat treatment? This should make a great KZhead video, yes?
I commend you on this beautiful work of art this one video has made me follow you I look forward to your future projects, thank you for your contribution to the world.
Thank you so much Bro!
That's a badass piece, great job!!

A beautiful piece of art. 👍👏👍 It’s hilarious to see so many ridiculous comments about the structural integrity of the blade when it is obvious that it is not a hardened steel forged blade but a replica katana for ornamental purpose, not combat.
