Babe wake up, Derrek just dropped another banger tutorial
ahhahahahha my dream girl must do this
hes cookin as always 🔛🔝
Respect for not assuming that lots of us aren't still complete noobs, and for explaining everything, it is a pleasure to watch you work that mouse
This one is a little fast paced for total newbs but tried to balance it out!
that's the major issue with most blender youtubers is they pretend not to use addons, start with a default cube instead of a customized start scene, and don't baby every step. Too many blender youtubers are stuck in creating newbie blender content continually. This is why most stuff from blender still looks like a newbie (2-3 year 3D artist) created it as no one can get passed really bad donut tutorials and blender boob boolean sci-fi crate tutorials. Even Ducky3D's stuff looks like it's 2010 C4D stuff which clients don't want anymore.
@@cagalagosi I definitely think that for the most part tutorials are, inherently, for beginners. Once you start running into more unique issues and using add-ons there are still "tutorials" but it mostly becomes a game of practice and self exploration. The majority of what I do in my tutorials is the exact same techniques I do in my client work. (and I do usually start with a default scene with no add-ons!)
THIS ONE VIDEO EXPLAINS MORE STUFF THAN A COMBINATION OF MULTIPLE COURSES !!! Thank you so much
The clarity with which that intro is presented is a masterwork in itself.
Clicked so fast...can't miss out on a Derrk special ❤
Thanks Derek! I love your tutorials!❤
WOW! You are the best! Lovin it! Looking forward to the fire simulation. Thank you.
Wonderful work Derek. Very inspiring!
Awesome ! Big thanks
WOW! WOW! AMAZING♥ What a work, fire simulation. Thank you.
OMG this is exactly what I need, totally perfect timing! Thanks for keep putting these out Derek, amazing quality tutorials delivered in your signature calm style, can't wait to work through this one :)
Loving every single one of your videos so far!!! I'm learning a lot!!! Thank you!!!
wow Derek we expect this from you, so even if it takes longer than expected, please provide a tutorial like this every time. 😍
So much gold packed into such a reasonably lengthed tutorial!
muy buen trabajo! fantastico!
One of the all time Blender GOATs!! Love the format and content presentation, stay spicy 🌶️
que isso derrekinho !!!!! brabo de mais ! 😍
bruh, every time u release anything, im just watching in awe... Super good material, but also amazing explanations! Kudos man..
Amazing tutorial as usual and great results . I’ve done first part already and I’ve had lots of fun 😊 thanks
I'm a new follower, you my man are an absolute blender guru
Bro u content is absolutely unique, i'm very happy that we have got a great blender teacher like u Thanks for every creative vid u presented in ur channel ❤
Thanks for this great tutorial. It was a lot of fun to create a project like this. Amazing effects!
I'm literally planning a photoshoot with fire and this gives me more ideas! THANK YOU ♥
wow! that´s insane!! thanks for sharing
Nice work and informative, thanks ❤
mind blowing you are derrek.
can't miss Derrick's tutorial ❤
Woooow amazing! Derek dropped one that is really hot again!! Can't wait for the fire simulation, either!
I love this tutorial 🔥
this is what i needed, thank you very much!!
this is actually so good
woah nice
Gadooosh! Wonderful.
Beautifully structured video with great pacing.
Glad you liked it. This one is pretty cut down but allowed me to skip over repetitive/slow portions that hopefully didn't leave too many questions!
@@DerekElliott I feel where some tutorials fail to frame things in a practical and tangible way, your videos show skills I can see freelance artists likely using.
Man you really made my day🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes another Derek tutorial
your tutorials have made me interested in learning Blender :D thanks!
Love that
Interesting that you parents the camera to the empty, i never thought it that! I usually add an empty and use a constraint to the camera
I love it. I wanted to stop and like the video every couple of minutes (i forgot that i did that before i started watching it lol) thanks for sharing your knoweldge and ideas!!
Thank you ☺️
wow. Amazing as usual. I would love to see 1 minute animation breakdown of your 30daysoftype submissions. They are really cool.
GOATED as allways!!!
you inspire me
A notification from youtube that is totally worth it.
Amazing....
Love you derek
bro just dropped the hardest tutorial 🔥🔥
So glad I can hear your soothing voice once again! Time to make a new hot sauce bottle!
Thanks a lot!!!! 😊
I love it. greets from swiss
After a long time bro!!!!
Sharing the "secret sauce" in the hot sauce tutorial. This was very cool Derek, thank you. I Did hear your "burning ring" ref lol. Johnny cash would be proud.
I hope I did Johnny justice
Aweeeeeesooommeee🔥
Nice!!!!
Waw nice
Nice tut! Getting Bob Ross vibes on the sculpt portion lol
The GOAT
Another tutorial for my portfolio
brabo!
that look fantastic really🤩🤩 but i think create like this is so hard 🤯
You can do it!
Baba büyüksün baba! Piyasanın içinden geçmeye geliyoruz
believe it or not, this videos started playing on my pc out of nowhere, i was like wth?..it's like youtube is telling me Derek dropped a new bomb of a tutorial, WATCH IT.
Hey Derek, For it not to go backwards you need to refilter the the names of the frames. You are pressing (A) to select all, but the rendered frames are actually sorted backwards. Change the folder view from big icons to small icons, and press on the "Name" tab, that should reorder them accordingly. Hope this helps, great video btw!
I knew it was something like this! Thank you
He made it... Thanks
LITT!!!
Bring the Oscars of tutorials here, please
Interesting that you parents the camera to the empty instead of using a constraint, would've never thought it that!
Constraint can work too but yeah I like this way
Big D is back. Fuck yeah. *D stand for Derek of course
Hey guys! Derrek is back
@Symbolic-cg8sx 0 seconds ago Glad to see he didn't go 100% beginner tutorial. that's the major issue with most blender youtubers is they pretend not to use addons, start with a default cube instead of a customized start scene (like pros), and baby every step. Too many blender youtubers are stuck in creating newbie blender content continually because they haven't progressed themselves past intermediate level. Glad to see some elevation here.
this tutorial is hot
I'll do it first thing in the morning. :)
Right after that Dota 2 match? 😄
先点赞,忙完今天再看视频,过两天交作业
i think i'm gonna die, cant believe this tutorial maaaaaaaaaannnnnnn
Don't die on us
this was really well explained and efficient, the white label was good too, a food ad series? maybe?-a man can dream
Could be fun! What else should I do
@@DerekElliott Hey man, personally love the Furniture Friday series, hope it returns, eventually, Food ad-wise, it will depend on the theme that both interests you and you think would be interesting to watch. but my examples are: recreating popular irl ads in Blender like McD's ads or chocolate/ice cream ads(especially how to model that milk splash to a realistic level) or; modelling food realistically (to a level like Patrick 4D in Zbrush) or; creating a tagline for an ad and developing a project around that, or; making food in an anime style(for that popularity twist), whatever you choose, I know its gonna be good
@@nicholaskihara3539 appreciate the comment and ideas! Will def do more furniture Friday. Love Patrick's work. I saw him at blender conference yesterday but didn't get to say hi
@@DerekElliott another Collab? uwu, have a good day
Wait what I didn't expect that HAHAHA 🥵🥵🥵
Yep I started the tutorial, then stopped. Got my camera and took a picture of my hot sauce bottle on top of my flaming potato laptop. ;) Just kidding, awesome content as usual, always know when I click I am getting quality content.
🔥🔥🔥
Please do a lesson on mechanical watches
Where can i order this sauce i want to taste 😊😊 awesome tutorial
What industries are Blender artist making decent incomes? What are the average salary expectations for Blender Artists?
Hi, I just watched your stylized topographic Landscape tutorial and I was wondering if you can use it with a terrain you've already made ?
You probably could it would just be a much more manual process
thank you Derek for providing such amazing content, I'd like to ask (my question may seem complicated) at the 0:12 mark with the clothe simulation happening, how do you make it "happen" later on the video ? you were able to show the bottle then zoom AND then make the clothe simulation, for example, in Blender, when you press the Play button the clothe simulation kicks in immediately, is there a way to make it happen later rather than right in the beginning like in your video ?
You can specify a simulation start time in the cache settings. It was in the scene the whole time but transparent beforehand
@@DerekElliott thank you so much, problem solved.
looks so good I want to order. is international shipping available?
Not currently
Maybe i missed, but it would be good to say about time scale of simulation. And thank you!!
Yes I only mentioned time scale for cloth part but this can be adjusted in any simulation
@@DerekElliott i am learning Blender thanks to yours videos as well...So big thanks from Ukraine!!I have a chanel with same name as my nikname videos are there..today i will add chess game sherlock vs morriarty..it would be nice to hear feddback from you))if its posible. Thanks again!!!
Blenderizm
Just finished and dont forget i am just studying)) kzhead.info/sun/gKmoYqt_mJFjZ2w/bejne.htmlsi=fJRCqi3Do8aPdWRB
Oh my God!! Okay it’s happening. Everyone stay calm!
Derek i need to know that i am putting same shader nodes which you have used on the bottle for glass but when i put them on the bottle. The glass doesn't get transparent as your's.
please make a flower simulation on geometry nodes and garden
I'm still learning geo nodes
@@DerekElliott Thank you so much, i hope you can be my mentor for 3d photography motion graphics like this.
Wow insane Video, watched it 2 times already! The simple deform / shrinkwrap isnt working for me, even with a basic mesh.. somebody knows what could be the problem? Scale applied etc... tried it like 4 times RIP me
Hmmm maybe something with normals? Also check order of modifiers
why I can't open your patreon ?
Na this looks fucking gorgeous dawg. You usually don't add any surface imperfections to your roughness, why? Some scratches, fingerprints here and there, mask them out with a noise node factoring where the imperfections are. Your work looks so realistic already, a little bit of grime goes a long way!
Depends on the client situation.. Usually they want clean! But in this case it's just extra in an already long tut! Plus then people get to discover it on their own or by scrolling down and reading a comment like this!
@@DerekElliott **blushes**
hi Derek, I'm stuck making chili sauce, I can't fill the glass bottle like you, paragraph from 5:06. Hope you can help me explain. Thank you!
Waooooo look hot!
48 min tutorial. I can't wait for @ArijanRace to make a 10min tutorial for this 😂
Gotta give the slowpokes something to watch
@@DerekElliott I love your videos. You helped a lot during my 3D process.
How to make the animation for the beginning process
I'll have to make a video on that but just a lot of key frames
for some reason turning on Sewing does not make the area where i deleted faces sew together. any ideas?
Make sure there are still edges connecting things
Why do you need a 32 sided circle for the bottle? A 8 or 16 sided one would be perfect for subdiv.
You are right I could have used less.
Could you give us the image/texture links?
They are available in the patreon file only
@@DerekElliott Oh okay, idk why but the fire doesn't work in my viewport or in my render
@@Tomekheart the fire is not done with an image texture
@@DerekElliott Yeah I know, its just that the fire isn't working for me, and I followed the tutorial!
For some reason my bottle look like filled out glass despite carving it out like you did. I recalculated the normals and everything. Any idea why?
Found out: The inside of my bottle didn't have faces for some reason, just edges. I don't know how this happened, since the throat of the bottle had edges.
Glad you figured it out

Whatr your pc specs? also where can i get clients? instagram? social media in general?
I have a 4090 GPU. Clients can come from anywhere though check out @renderer on yt
@@DerekElliott 4090 Nice. Im triying to do some Money i have 4 years with practice but I fell like i suck. I hope I can get a work, thanks.
