My list... 1-Aga Radwanska 2-Caroline Wozniacki 3-Madison Brengle 4-Sara Errani 5-Sara Sorribes Tormo 😊
hahahahahahaha *gives you a huge high five* broooooo
AHAHHAHAA
6. Monica Niculescu :)
Hahahhahaha
😭. The weakest players to ever go pro
For me definitely Ana Konjuh unfortunately she can't play a full month without an injury.
It's hard to play like that and not get hurt this is why Serena is different.
Hauling body fat around the court for hours.
Kvitova without doubt one of the hardest hitters.
Living in Melbourne, I have been to many Australian Opens. Whilst watching most tennis ONLINE, I always thought Giorgi had the most hard hitting forehand, however, I changed my mind when I watched Kaia Kanepi at Melbourne Park, in REAL LIFE.... as a casual tennis player myself, I was gobsmacked at how hard she actually hit the ball. Kanepi blew my mind
I’m not sure Giorgi hits that hard, I’d say it’s the tremendous pace rather than strength in her case. Kanepi on the other hand is pure strength indeed.
Love the context of your comment! Seeing players in real life is totally different than TV/computer. To be able to see how beautifully struck their shots are is what every true tennis fan should experience at least once!
This is one of the major problems with our sport is that you can’t get an appreciation for the game unless you see it in person.
I always considerd Giorgi one of the weakest
@@fallendevonish1869 she hits very flat. It’s more about timing than strength so you may be right.
It’s interesting how powerful ostapenko’s strokes are, but her 2nd serve, and often 1st serve, is like a rival to Errani’s…
I think Giorgi and Ostapenko should be no1 and no2.. Not only for how hard they hit the ball, but also for their gameplan.. They just have no alternative, even when they see that it's not their day for a power play, they have no plan B, or play with more control, they just keep bashing the ball as hard as they can .
i think the sameeee, and then collins and yastremska for me
True alona should be the one.
I will say this list is ‘hardest hitters right now’, all matches here are from 2021 - 2022:)
Missing garcia quinwen zheng and ALEXANDROVA xD
OK because U was about to ask if you were only considering this year. One question is this based on statistics or just who seems to be hitting harder/faster
Um...RYBAKINA? How do you think she won Wimbledon? Also, after that AO SF this year Swiatek said that Collins is the hardest hitter she’s ever played against.
Tormo and Errani should be here
I think I’ll start with Ostapenko. Ostapenko is a hard hitter and good returner. That’s why she was able to win in Dubai this year. Unfortunately for her she still has not been able to defeat Alexandrova as of late and that’s why she lost today. Petra Kvitova’s resurgence on tour on grass was quite remarkable when a lot of us were counting her out with the season she’s had. Amazing effort to get past Muguruza at this years US Open. Little bit saddened by Collins and not being able to rebound off of that Australian Open run. I say the same for Keys to but Keys did win a title in Melbourne this year. Sabalenka was also a victim to Alexandrova on grass this year and had her chances against Swiatek in the US Open semis but the women have gain better mental toughness in order to win well and stay healthy. Unfortunately for Konjuh she has sustained a lot of injuries. Let us not forget that retirement last year against Kasatkina that gave Kasatkina the title outright.
Unpopular WTA opinion: Watching (most) hard hitters is not fun at all. The majority of them, even the better ones at the top of the game, have poor rally tolerance, they can’t keep the ball in play for more than 3-4 shots and make tons of ugly errors, they don’t have variety and have a very one-dimensional game, they are messy, streaky and inconsistent and their hard hitting is usually a compensation for terrible movement. I just find most of their games very visually ugly (there are some exceptions). It’s way better to watch naturally athletic players with fluid movement and controlled aggression (Alcaraz, Swiatek, etc).
it's not an unpopular opinion. It's the truth. It's part of what leads to all this WTA inconsistency and the reason most, if not all, of these power players will not win slams. And it comes down to to coaching. All these girls are coached to simply be aggressive and go for their shots, even if they are missing. They have no idea how to problem-solve and change-up their game if their shots aren't landing in. Like adding more spin, hitting to safer targets, or coming to net more. And as result, we get terrible matches, like the 2017 USO final. And you would think after Keys' terrible performance in that final, she would have learned from it and tried to improve her consistency. But it's been 5 years, and she still plays the same high-risk brand of tennis. It might look nice, but she hasn't won that much and is not a factor at slams. The men are coached to slug it out from the baseline as well. The difference, though, is that they are also taught to be consistent and defend. They don't have to go for broke every point. They can keep points alive with their defense & court coverage, and utilize spin for extra margin and safety.
@@pomerlain8924 To some extent, we can blame this on the Seles/Williams sisters/Sharapova mold. Except these players could consistently paint the lines, finish points at the net and had the mental toughness to raise their level on the big points.
Couldn't agree more. I think it may be better to slow down the surfaces again to somewhat reduce the advantage of hard hitting. But it's the development of better racquet and string technology that allowed ultra aggression to become the norm, so there's no going back.
@@laprimaverrra I obviously don’t count them in this category. Seles and Serena are all time greats with complete games, Venus was a superb athlete in her prime and had plenty of variety and one of the best net games ever. Sharapova was kind of robotic in the later half of her career and never had great movement so she always looked a bit awkward on the court, but at least she was mostly consistent.
@@laprimaverrra Seles, the Williams sisters, Sharapova, and Davenport all had better control and made proper tactical decisions. Even Clijsters, Pierce, & Henin. For example, if they were pulled outside the doubles alley, they were not going to try to hit a DTL winner from there. They would make the smart decision to roll the ball back cross-court to reset the point. They all had power, but they knew when and where to use it. And with the exception of Sharapova, they knew how to grind matches out playing their B, C, D, etc. games to get the win when they were making a lot of errors.
Before i watched the video i just knew madison keys would be in the list, kinda surprised rybakina isn't there
Rybakina peaked more after the video was produced.. She is up there now
What about Rybakina? she won wimbeldon this year because she was smashing the ball from every corner in the court, in both wings. Her serve also is very powerfull with minimum effort. Jabuer lost to her because she just couldn't handle the power.
Rybakina is weak. She didn't even qualify for next week's WTA Finals. She in the race to WTA Finals ended up being only 21st. Ostapenko in the race ended up being 18th, but Jabeur 2nd. Plus Rybakina got destroyed by nobody from France in US Open first round with the score of 4:6 and 4:6. Elena Rybakina is weak. She can't win even against outside top 130 opponent. Jabeur lost to Rybakina in Wimbledon Final, because of pressure and because she played badly herself.
@@einarsd4 Rybakina didn't qualify for the wta finals because Wimbeldon wasn't with ranking points this year- the russians and belarussians players weren't allowed to participate because of the war. Before you critisize her you should learn some facts. She suposed to be a top 10 player with this 2000 ranking points missing. I bet that you wouldn't manage to return one ball from her so weak she isn't😂😂
@@shaharrosenberg8659 If she can't even win one set against as weak opponent as Oceane Dodin is, then she is weak. And I know that in Wimbledon no ranking points were given to tennis players. And Rybakina isn't the only one who was affected by it. If all Russian and Belarusian tennis players would have been allowed to participate in Wimbledon, Rybakina wouldn't have won it. With tennis players like, Azarenka, Sabalenka, Kasatkina, Samsonova around, Rybakina on any surface doesn't stand a chance. Kasatkina even without Wimbledon managed to qualify for WTA Finals. Elena Rybakina even struggled against Ons Jabeur and barely defeated her. Elena Rybakina defeated Ons Jabeur, because Jabeur played badly.
@@einarsd4 Rybakina won Andreescu in the 2nd round, Halep in the semis and Jabuer in the final so she dosen't had an easy road to the title. The russians and belarussians weren't change alot because except of Sabalenka there isn't a strong grass player. Kasatkina, if you are talking, is a weak player who basically run and defend until her oponnent will miss. She dosen't have a backhand and 2nd serve at all!! Rybakina loss to Burel in the Us Open dosen't say alot because most of the recent years grand slam champ aren't having a good results right afterwards (kenin, stephens, ostapenko, andreescu, osaka last year, raducanu...). There is just not the same mentality in these years that grand slam champ had in the past (serena, venus, clijters, sharapova, henin, hingis, azarenka...)
@@shaharrosenberg8659 What a bullshit you just wrote. Andreescu, Osaka, Stephens and Ostapenko are far superior to your beloved Rybakina. Kenin had bad season that's all. Ostapenko, Stephens, Osaka and Andreescu didn't lose to opponents outside of top 130. Elena Rybakina did. This shows that Elena Rybakina doesn't have serve and return. Daria Kasatkina qualified for WTA Finals even without participating in Wimbledon. Daria Kasatkina is Wimbledon former Quarter-Finalist, Azarenka is former world #1, Samsonova won 4 tournaments this season and played as an equal with 1ga Swiatek. Ostapenko even defeated Iga Swiatek at the start of this season. Rybakina is weak. She is ball basher with weak style. This year's US Open showed that she is indeed weak. If she can't take even a set against weakling like Oceane Dodin, then she doesn't belong in top 100. Just put against her any decent opponent and she will lose the match. Kasatkina is way better than Rybakina. They do and they have. This era is far more competitive which means that this era has far better mentality than previous eras had. Nowadays reaching top 100 is great achievement, in previous eras it wasn't as great. Not so long ago Rybakina lost in 3 sets to Katerina Siniakova. As you can see, Rybakina is so weak, that she can't win against opponents against which most tennis players will win. Even Siniakova has better first and second serves. If in Wimbledon Belarusian and Russian tennis players would have been allowed to participate, then Rybakina wouldn't have won the tournament. Andreescu would have won against Swiatek if umpire in the 1st set tiebreak wouldn't have made that costly mistake in line call. Ostapenko, Raducanu, Stephens, Osaka and Andreescu are all former top 10 tennis players a ranking which even to this day Rybakina wasn't able to reach. Barbora Krejcikova right after winning French Open last year qualified for WTA Finals. And this year she in Ostrawa Final defeated Iga Swiatek. And here you are saying that recent Grand Slam champions doesn't have good results right after. Iga Swiatek won 8 out of our 9 finals this season. How about you do your research and shut up? You only embarrass and humiliate yourself.
Rybakina, Garcia, Badosa, Alexandrova, Pliskova ...?
Don't forget about oceane dodin, she's a truly hard hitter
You need to qualify this list by what year we're looking at. It's criminal that folks like Serena, Sharapova, and Monica Seles are not there.
Serena has a very well-rounded game that holds up well under pressure. She is a category unto herself as part of the limited pantheon of GOATs. These players are known for power as their signature weapon more than anything else.
Venus should be included as well as Davenport
The era of Rena Venus Maria can't be duplicated though with anyone here in this video.
Great vid again but the views make me worried for you :((( just let you know how great your vids is and dont give up 🥰
Can’t believe you left out Errani and Sorribes Tormo😤😤
Come on! We've only seen the honorable mentions here!
Caroline Garcia, Zhang, Zheng Quinwen, Yastremska or Alexandrova are really hard hitters too.
Yastremska should probably be on this list. Still a good list.
DAMN THOSE WERE EXACTLY THE PLAYERS ON MY MIND THAT I WAS THINKING WERE MISSING
LITERALLY
I wrote a comment saying quinwen garcia and ALEXANDROVA should've been top 5 here without reading your comment lol
Even pegula and sakkari can probably make it here or be an honourable mention
As a ballboy at a WTA 250 in Monterrey, I would say that the players that would hit the ball the hardest would generally be all of the Chinese Player, the just SMACKED the ball (Qiang Wang, Yuan Yue, Wang Xinyu, Qinwen Zheng), and a Japanese player called Nao Hibino, and of course Beatriz Haddad Maia
Quinwen zheng i agree but the rest not top 10 hardest tbh.. maybe shuai can also make it but not sure Zheng tho hits the ball top 5 hardest.
@@Simon-zl6ek yes, not top 10, but the hardest I saw at Monterrey haha
are you one of the ballboy where leylah won? like this year? because the players you mentioned were the one she played against with
@@fritzdc6769 yep, and in 2020 when Svitolina won
Iga Swiatek is also a very powerful player, but she knows how to dose is. That's why she is where she is right now 💪
Wouldn’t go right to powerful? Lol I’d say more so a consistent hitter man
No she ain't

Cool list, but a bit inaccurate. should read this. Inside the rise of Iga Swiatek: Blistering forehands and unmatched aggression on WTA page. Stats matter.
Iga is not a power hitter she just playing normally.
@@krishnakumar2390 with forehands and BH close to 150kmh is not power player? Mate lol
@@slawomirpietraszak6839 against whom is what really matters, against pushers even I can do more than that, pounder to pounder like if she plays like this against prime serena, Sharapova or venus then that's great not in this era. Lucic-Baroni?
Where is Sara Errani?? She has the strongest service in the whole history!!! Then Monica Niculescu and Irina Bara!! Where are them???
My list 1. Serena Williams 2. Madison Keys 3 Venus Williams 4. Maria Sharapova 5.Sabalenka 6. Osaka 7.Kvitova 8. Camilla 9 Ostapemko 10. Konjuh
Ree, Vee, Maria I can say these three are the best.
I think Agnieszka Radwanska should be here…
I think it was only with players in activity ! That's also why Serena isn't there
@@antoniobusto3610 you are missing my joke i think, radwanska was the most defensive player😭
@@Ianadelrey_ oh I'm sorry 😂😂😂
She had no power but lot of skills and inteligence
Where is Garcia 😂😂
KVITOVA ❤
Madison is the hardest hitter to her own detriment. Osaka and kvitova at least have some more spin and margin. Keys is all 100% perfect or 100% terrible with no middle ground which is unfortunate since she has all the weapons to win majors
And you would think after her horror show US Open final performance, she would have tried to make the necessary adjustments to add more spin and margin and have better rally tolerance. But 5 years on, she still plays the same way. Almost like she's hoping that eventually she'll hit a purple patch for a full two weeks at a slam where all her big shots land in. If she could ever learn some consistency and add a b, c, d game, she could be a serious threat.
She's the Queen of Unforced Errors.
Yeah,I've thought Madison Keys is one biggest hitters in the game, but to inconsistent for a fine player. She might win smaller tournaments, good for the bank account, but gets only small amount of ranking points. I find her a fine player, but their has been many of her type of player, but I still like seeing her play.🎾🇺🇸💐🎾
The Overhead Rackets played a major part in this! Graf introduced it!
Peak Stosur (2009-2011/2012) also hit the ball pretty hard.
With more pace I would say, tho still really hard, sharapova too

Tatjana Maria all the way!
Lol how?
@@chimchimo.5050 that’s the joke..
does anyone know what kind of grip does ostapenko use on the forehand ?
I think semi western
semi western or eastern i think
Kitchen spoon grip
For the all time list: Venus, Pierce, Sprem, Davenport, Keys, Serena, Ivanovic, Rezai, Lucic, Seles.
How did you not include Rybakina?
How can u not include the Williams sisters who actually took heavy hitting to a whole another level smh
They’re probably racist
Because they’re men
I love Keys. She's awesome to watch when she's on. Just like Kanepi.
90% of wta can be on this list really
Can you make a video of the best finesse players in wta? That's rarer than hard hitters nowadays.
I second this!
Camila Giorgi is this a joke
Oceane Dodin should be here.
Have you ever heard about Dayana Yastremska. Have you seen her match against Keys at the US open
There's folks who hit the ball hard and alot of top spin so it looks like their hitting the ball hard(swiatek) , then there's folks who just hit the ball hard and flat(gorgi)
for me camila is more aggressive than madison
Fortunately, to win many of the most important tournaments, strength alone is not enough ... hehe Jazda !!! Iga.
what about errani?🥺
Excuseme but where is Vicka, Masha, Venus and Serena?. If whe are talking about active players, Venus and Vicka should be there, and is not an excuse the fact that both are not in their best moment in her careers, but most of the players of this list arent at their best on the tour right now, and non of them except for kvitova have won a grand slam.
Vika? Azarenka has never been one of the hardest hitters; her strength is depth and consistency.
@@ramonecricket5183 and her BHDDL is just money.
what about Rybakina?
Prob should’ve said “active players” in the title, or else we’d be forgetting serena !!!
Where is Yastremska?
Samsonova just won Tokyo Open defeating a promising China teenager, Zheng Qinwen
Osaka could hit hundred miles forehand at age of 16 and 120 miles serve. She is up there and hopefully gets her heart back in game.
Where is Yastremska??
Good list, but I don't agree with the order: 1. Keys 2. Kanepi 3. Giorgi 4. Ostapenko 5. Samsonova 6. Kvitova 7. Sabalenka 8. Osaka 9. Konjuh 10. Collins
Missing garcia zheng and alexandrova
I was concerned you didn´t put Madison in the video until i saw her at the #1 ... She only hits hard, i love her 🤩
Karolina Sprem, Nicole Vaidisova were very strong off both wings too.
Samsonova ❤️ 💪
I feel so bad for Ana Konjuh. Had seen her best.
wheres tatjana maria?
Rybakina 🤔
Davenport and Serena aren’t on here? Seriously?
When Jennifer Capriati was in the zone she was hard to beat 👍 My favourite player so I may be bias
Kaia Kanepi ❤❤❤
where is venus and serena? 😲 venus was hitting the ball so hard, it was knocking the players racket right out of their hands!
yastremska, anisimova too
Before watching... I just thought.. if anyone be on top of Madison Keys. Happy .. Keys Won. Thanks for posting.
Why don't have zheng Qinwen
Asa man si maria sakkari?
Where in the flying fuck is Pliskova?😂
Where is Anisimova?
Left off Venus & Serena Williams, Capriati, Seles, Graff...perhaps this was not an "of all time" just for over a certain time like this year🤔
To the people who are asking why Serena wasn't included, this video doesn't specify that the hardest hitters would be accurate as well, and that's why Keys is at the top 🤣. Serena used to have controlled aggression, and only a few other players show a quality like that, but not in Serena's levels. Serena used to construct points, and although she could easily overpower any of her opponents, she made sure that the one powerful shot she hits after setting up the point becomes the winner.
Iga is the best tennis player
I would say Osaka (at her best) and Konjuh are the most powerful, just from the KZhead video (not live) one can tell it's like a man's power and speed.
Rybakina SABINE!! (A few years ago) Garcia Venus (a few years ago) Please do a slowest hitters on the tour too so we can get Tormo Errani and Brengle 😂😂
i mean hardest hitting list and serena isn’t on it?
Rybakina?????
Osaka has to be a harder head of the number nine I haven't watched the rest but I don't know who could be ahead of her of course Serena but she hits hard
You forgot Errani?
A Iga Świątek gdzie? 🤔

Alexandrova and garcia and zheng are missing lol
Camilla Giorgi hits harder way more times than any of them..
Madison keys and rybakina
Leaving Rybakina n Pliskova out makes the video irrelevant null and void..
I think sania mirza used to hit pretty hard too.... harder than Collins dedicated
Of current players only? Because Maria Sharapova, Lucic-Baroni, Serena and Seles were all big hitters. A Sharapova rally could overwhelm Keys, Ostapenko, Kvitova and Kanepi.
