I used to play trumpet in marching band and while I enjoyed the healthy competition, I also enjoyed the comraderie with my bandmates and the other bands just doing what we love.

  • I think we should all be reminded that Musicians should never be pulling eachother down. This is about expression. One of these comments could be enough for a Musician who could have been incredible one day to stop playing altogether because they don't feel good enough. This video is fantastic. These are young kids who had to start somewhere and some of them will grow up to be the most incredible drummers you've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They're having FUN. They're learning together, growing together. Constructive criticism is what we should be offering eachother. Point out their positives, and HELP them where they could use some help. Open up your minds. Raise eachother up.

    • @@evanguzman5735 it doesnt matter knowing to play percussion or not. What matters is that the music brought fellow drummers together and they actually sportfully competed without attitudes and had fun. On that note I will say alot of them should practice on their drumming a tad bit more because a true drummer doesn't look at his drums. I know they are young and not that experienced so practice more on that and y'all will have it as I seen. Thats what caused alot of off key hits. Otherwise I enjoyed it alot and wish y'all had more. I love drums and playing and watching. Thanks for the uplift. Keep drumming

What I see when I look at these kids and what I hear as they jam out is the will of a generation that needs guidance. They want to live, and they want to be excellent; even though it’s just drums I look at the fact that they’re wanting to be there doing those movements getting better and most of all having a inexplainable time. •Without reading the comments I was gonna make a comment, I still am and it’s unchanged but everyone “cringing” at the “skill of these kids” is literally cringe themselves for saying useless negativity about KIDS HAVING A GOOD TIME. • Made me smile, I was quints my freshman year, moved to second snare my sophomore year, my junior year I took percussion section chief but was on quints because all three quint drummers graduated and no one but me had played them so I spent my Junior and Senior year section chief on quints and training freshmen and Sophmores on them. I liked them more then snare anyhow. Had the chance to join marching 110 at Ohio University but knew I was to wild still and needed to grow up before taking the scholarship so turned it down and joined the Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman. Did 12 years in the Marines and 5 deployments, my final deployment I was wounded and resulted in direct impact brain injury and the thing it has really messed was my ability to play the quints. My son tried out a year early for the drum line and made it to quints hahaha I have never played in front of him but he has heard recordings from our shows and he just picked it up naturally. I am going to try to get my ability back to playing like I used with him. Awesome show. Thank you for posting, brought back some awesome memories
