  • Engaging conversation! Commendable initiative for people in war (I'll look for the book). Good, really good. Here is my story about your stories: I listened to the podcast while walking around the streets and then shopping, often laughing on my own, while someone looked at me wondering, probably, how crazy I was! This morning I saw the video and realized how strong the power of stories is! I saw your faces, but in my mind there were all the scenes that I had imagined listening to the little stories (Sicily, the helmet, the airport, Thailand, Japan, the bathrooms and the towel) and the images I had seen along the way (trees, flowers, pasta, fruit) associated exactly, that sentence with that image. Great! Great both for the beauty of the imagination that the words generate and for the strong impact on learning the language. Thanks and thanks both of you. Stories on LEP Premium is great news. Wow! Thank you Luke

  • That podcast episode was just amazing!!!! I want to thank you both for giving me (and my girlfriend) such a great time while driving. I didn't watch the KZhead version though which is a shame. I'm sure it would have been even better! One story lead to another. Again, thank you so much for making me laugh and giving me the opportunity to improve my English.

  • sympathising with Martin's wife situation. I'm trying to get my visa for the Uk and my boyfriend and I had to go to a notarize here in Colombia to get a stamp that says expecifically in time when we had started our relationship and also his parents had to send letters telling that they know me and I've been his parnert for the last three years. My visa was denied unfortunately, a tourist visa by the way; We are trying again and was the same as Martin situation, He has to proved what he does for a living and gave details of his bank statements and so on, still waiting for a positive answer this time. Loving your podcast Luke. My English is getting better but I'm not right there, yet!!!

They always take advantage from the tourists, such as over charging, bringing them for a sex show something like that. If I could be your guild someday, I would bring you to the north my hometown visit temples and have some delicious foods.🙌🏻

  • Just a note: this video is about Sicily more than about Italy. I live in the north west of Italy and the habits are much more similar to continental Europe than in southern Italy. Except for the "posto fisso", that is true in any place.

  • I just would say that your podcasts are very useful and helpful to improve listening and speaking skills and on the other hand l should say that the time the lessons have is very long to watch them.lf possible they could be shorter. That is why l am saying is for those who don't have enough time to watch whole the part.

    • “A story off” is a sort of competition to see who has the best story It’s like “a dance off” where people take turns to dance, in order to decide who is the best. Martin and I had a (not serious) story off. We took turns to tell stories. To be honest, we weren’t really competing. It was just for fun.
