The hidden descendants of Adolf Hitler

This document explores the little-known story of William Patrick Hitler, the nephew of Adolf Hitler, and his singular journey in the shadow of one of the most infamous names in history. Born from a union between Alois Hitler Jr., Adolf's half-brother, and an Irish woman, Bridget Dowling, William initially tried to take advantage of his relationship with his uncle, before radically detaching himself from it.
The story begins with William's early years, marked by an attempt to exploit his uncle's fame to get ahead in life. However, Adolf Hitler's rise to power and his subsequent actions during World War II quickly turned this association into a burden. Aware of the moral and historical implications of his family connection, William distanced himself, opting for an active role against the Nazi regime during the war.
The story also follows William's journey to settle in the United States, where he served in the U.S. Navy, fighting against Axis forces, in a poignant effort to redefine his and his family's identity. After the war, William sought to live a low-key life, avoiding public attention and trying to shake off his uncle's oppressive shadow.
This doc highlights the complexities of family legacies, internal struggles for redemption and identity, and the desire for a normal life despite a past inextricably linked to one of history's most controversial figures . It is a profound exploration of how family history, global politics and personal choices intertwine, shaping lives in often unpredictable ways.
Director: Emmanuel Amara

    • They should live in peace, but given the behavior if Hitler and the mentality of people, they would not have been allowed the peace they deserved. You are correct, they are not responsible for Adolf Hitler's crimes, but their name condemns them in people's minds (and experiences), and their life would not be peaceful if they kept the Hitler name.

    • I would love to hear his story, too, as to his daily life in the camp. I can't imagine the misery and fear; very sad. I visited the Dachau concentration camp, and it was dismal; I could feel the evil spirits still there. Just standing in the room where the prisoners were ordered to remove their clothes and packed as tightly as sardines, the guide said that babies were thrown over the heads of the people until it was filled to the ceiling, which was low, about 7 feet high, gave me the willies. I will never get that vision and feeling out of my head. It is sickening that humans can do this to fellow humans; they just can't be fully human; they're the spawn of Satan, which is a thing. After Satan convinced Eve to eat the forbidden fruit in the garden and then Adam ate it too; by doing so, he gave away his power and authority over the world to Satan for 6000 years. Satan then had sex with Eve, and Adam had sex with her; she had twins Cain and Abel. After they grew up, Cain killed Abel and was forced to live in the mountains to escape revenge. Adam had a second son, Seth, who passed on his genes to his children, which was the blood of GOD. Cain passed his genes of Satan's blood to his children. So, there are people in the world who have the blood of Satan flowing through their veins, literally, some more than others. No wonder there are such horrifically evil people in the world with absolutely no remorse. Of course, after 6000 years of breeding, most people now have both GOD's and Satan's blood in them, which may account for the RH factor. I have read that 13 family lines are of the Illuminati, who are still of pure blood from Satan. They only marry within their families. Satan's gig is up, which is why he is so desperate right now to kill GOD's people, Jews, and Christians, through war, ab******, breaking up families, COVID, v*******, GMOs, shootings, and to stop the worship of GOD by removing him from our schools and governments, on and on. Hitler's quest for world dominance continues; he is full of trickery and has a lot of followers who are willing to do his evil deeds here on earth; they are of their father, Satan. The final 1000 years here on Earth will be GOD's Kingdom; Satan, his demons, and followers will be thrown into the pit soon; no more wars and killing, and we will live in peace and prosperity for 1000 years!

That's like saying the happy face Killer's daughter shouldn't have been revealed but she made great out of it because she wrote a book and she's also doing things to help other people who had serial killers in their families. If other people condemn his nephews and other relatives that's THEIR EVIL problem for condemning the nephews and other family members. Sometimes it feels better instead of holding it in to talk about what a family member did and to try to help others who have gone through something similar

    • Agreed! But from an historical point of view, it may be interessing to know the destiny of such families. But the journalistic manner is certainly not adequate. It would be also pertinent to tell history of the Biden family; a pocket surprises... Also, it is quite irritant to hear a pseudo ''psychological profile'' of a deceased person or on that is not in front of you to rectifie. Alas! Those psychological portraits are a fashion now in journalistic world, a world that is truly detestable nowaday, minus a few exceptions. Journalists inventent things, historians search facts, not sensationalism. Salutations from Québec!

If you were gassed, burned or shot in the back of the head, your reaction would be different. Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, like the family of a cancer patient, are victims and have the right to look their loved ones in the eye, who are the seed of evil. America welcomed many murderers of that time, who are doing well.

    • The notion of "bad seeds" in family lines is largely what fueled the eugenics movement, which had a huge presence in America long before WWII. In fact, the American eugenics campaign was openly cited by Hitler as his main inspiration for his "final solution," along with the genocide of the Native American population. The American government had drawn up plans for actual exterminations of "undesirables" under their eugenics project but realized that the proletariat would revolt. Instead, 28 states involuntarily sterilized everyone from drug addicts to immigrants that came from the "wrong" countries. Eugenics had public buy-in and government support in America and across Europe well into the second world war. Winston Churchill, for example, was a virulent antisemite. This zeitgeist easily informed peoples' ideas about family lines passing along undesirable traits, such as antisemitism, genetically. Dozens of horror movies have been made on this premise. Even the old Biblical maxim about the father eating sour grapes and the children gnashing their teeth speaks of how children often pay for the sins of their ancestors. It's sad that this American family didn't feel like they would be free to live normal lives. Unfortunately, however, they were probably correct. Even in the information age, large-scale societies are extremely slow to evolve. Had the brothers had children, they would inevitably have been subjected to the same scrutiny. At least, the brothers' fears that any children would be are legitimate. Anyone interested in the dark and mostly suppressed history of the eugenics movement can check out a documentary called "Scientific Racism: The History of Eugenics." It's very illuminating.

She said it was no secret she dated Adolf Hitler, the whole town knew about it. The couple was often seen around town. I thought the story was a bit incredulous, and said it could be any German officier. But she doubled-down and insisted it was Adold Hitler. • I think the filmmaker had to try to get answers from a direct source, but it was hard to watch the invasion of Alexander's privacy. It seems William Patrick was a decent man who loved and wanted to protect his family. I don't see him as an opportunist but as a man who had to make a living and wanted his sons to have the chance to live a normal life. He earned his American citizenship and raised a very American family of German ancestry. I don't see how a fair-minded person could ever blame later-day descendants for the evilness of a half-great uncle. There's no science behind the evil gene theory whatsoever. The 3 sons of William Patrick could have had a family if they desired it, but staying single and remaining close as brothers might have been all the family they needed. There's more than one right way of living lives of purpose and fulfillment.

  • I feel very sad for the 4 boys/men. I mean, their father knew Adolf Hitler, lived in Germany, knew the language. The boys were all born in the US, all they learned about Hitler were the terrible stories and pictures in the papers and on TV. They understand why their father changed his last name. But the book wasn't closed. I bet, the father told his kids why he chose that name. And for sure, he also told them stories about "uncle Adolf", not about the "Führer", but about the private person. Things, that make him look human, even nice, perhaps. Maybe in German, what made everything very real. I think those boys have suffered a lot because of their family history and understood that people will keep on talking about, WWII, Hitler, Nazi's, concentration camps. And they knew that they would pass that suffering to their children.

They grew up with a fear & a huge/horrific secret. Not wanting to pass on the surname, but because of what they went through, of the huge "burden" all through their lives. And didn't want to pass it on to any offspring to go through the same as they did xx

Their decision was an incredibly honorable and selfless act to prevent any children of theirs to avoid the lives they had been forced to live through no fault of their own. It is really a shame that they have to live without the joy. children and grandchildren. And that those children and grandchildren were denied the chance of life.
