I bought Adam Lz's old Porsche 992 GT3 but the car is in Florida (4000miles away from home, so im using Tavarish's unit and tools to rebuild it whilst im over here. With the Porsche being a 2022 model parts are difficult to get and i am on a short time scale & now i have just found more damage that i originally thought.

what a project this is 😮😮
KZhead!!! I'M FIRST TO REPLY!!!!
Wow!
Lol
Heh
damn
I honestly never thought I'd see a Freddie and Matt crossover. But we needed it. Just need the Matt and ed china crossover now 🤣
But edd is a git and wants $12000 per day
At this point almost all my favorite car youtubers have done collabs. I love it
Ed the cowboy would super glue that structural damage
I need a Seen Through Glass collab!
@@wilspu5590 Source?
Appreciate how hard he works on projects like this

Beautiful! 😊
nice
Hiiiii
So great to see Freddie truly smiling again and having some fun!!
Tavarish is that one friend everyone needs
As we know he is the Warranty.
McNugget is a legend 😁
I used to watch your videos for the car transformations, but now I mainly watch them to live vicariously through you. Seeing you live out your dreams, and collaborate with your idols, it's hard not to feel proud of you man.
Wow, thank you!
@@MatArmstrongbmxgreetings from germany
Mohammed, great words for our main man Mat, but he'd want you to use everything he does as inspiration to progress and do things yourself too! It's working for me!
@@anilk4936 why do I meet so many germans all over international KZhead (and the rest of the web) 😂 greetings from Germany my friend 👍
@@sepplschpeedruns281 ja Servus! Wir müssen ja sehen, was die mit unseren Autos anstellen
Mat had gained 100k subscribers in the past week, this channel is going to the moon and it’s so well deserved
Smart way for clout came all the way to America
Who are you?! His subscriber counter?
I love how the lads were drilling and bashing and scratching their heads for ages over than nut, and Hannah just nonchalantly undoes it from under the bonnet and asks if that's the one! 🤣🤣🤣 Made my week that!
I totally respect how Mat just laughs in the face of adversity. Like most days, I've had an awful day at work - but seeing how this lad takes things in his stride without losing the plot, genuinely picks me up.
To be fair though, if he can drop hundreds of thousands of $ on wecked cars he can certainly afford to fix it up without much stress.
@@jere473 🤔 Hmm, yeah... doesn't quite work like that.
more problems more videos more money
what about the adversity of mispronouncing PORSCHE? He still hasn't conquered that.
He’s making tens of thousands of pounds a month from KZhead.. If I was making that kind of bank I wouldn’t get particularly stressed either.
Quite the project now, but looking forward to the next.
When 16.4
Didn't think id see you on a video like this lol
It makes me want to throw up how bad modern cars are to get to anything. You shouldn't have to take the entire interior out to get to a fuse. I wouldn't keep this piece of shit Porsche if you gave it to me for free. These cars are not to be celebrated they are everything that is wrong with the world today.
ok
WOOO LETS GOOOOO
Wow this didn’t gets noticed at all
Totally skipped over. Crazy
Props to Hanna to saving the day! Oh my daze!
I’m really enjoying this one! I love how every time Freddie sees something broken he says “we can fix that!”
Once repaired, do a road trip across America. You can also collab with different KZheadrs. keep up the great work!
And collab with DDE, strad e. T. c
You realise how big of a task this is. Plus Mats never been to the US before.
America has shit roads tho
He will probably drive it to lz once finished
Is shipping it home out of the question Matt?
These builds are better than anything on TV.
Hang in there Mat, and stay positive. Hopefully that can be repaired and we will see you drive this in the UK eventually.
What a blessing that Tavarish was open to help you and allow you to use his floor space to do this work in the US.
I’ve not watched many of Freddie’s videos, but from this alone, he seems an awesome guy who has been incredibly generous with assistance, knowledge and the use of his facilities.. man’s a total legend! I’m certainly going to subscribe to his channel next. Wish you the very best of luck with this project. I can only imagine the additional problems you’re going to encounter sourcing the parts in the USA compared to working back in the UK, but will certainly make a very interesting series of videos. The smile on your face when that engine started was worth what you paid for the car alone!
i kinda hoped this would have collab elements but just like this it’s awesome. shows how great Freddie is to just let another Tuber do his thing in his garage. what a great dude
Go for it mate. You have worked real hard for this. You will do this. Really nice of Freddy to host you at his garage.
So great to see Freddie truly smiling again and having some fun!! Mat is just what Freddie needed right now!
Spot on man and genuinely seems to be enjoying it
So true, Mat's energy and enthusiasm is totally what Freddie needs. I hope they are genuinely having a great time on this build, looks to be turning into quite a challenge.
ok
I had 2 watch their joy of the bump start in last video a handful of times.. this is what's still great about KZhead
Matt you're super talented. great video. hoping to see our channel hit the success yours has. great work
A huge shout out to Hard Up Garage for turning me on to this channel. I'm stoked as I watch these rebuild videos! Good on you man. Love from the USA 👊😎
As a bodyshop guy, that structural damage is a big one! Hopefully you get it repaired properly, its not gonna be a cheap job
ok
Freddie is an absolute gentleman. Mat has the attitude/ability to rebuild a Saturn V. Hannah is just the best. Brilliant work/content. Thank you!
Freddy is the real MVP, dudes going through a lot and still manages to help Matt out. Kudos to him, we wouldn't have this glorious content without him.
What's he going through?
@@vEcTeRbl00d subscribe to his channel. He has a video that gives you the lowdown. In a nutshell divorce and depression prior and after.

I love the way you keep smiling when others would be sitting in a corner quietly rocking their way through a nervous breakdown. 😊
Hannah saved the project. What a hero she is!! Give the GT3 to her, oh I forgot it’s just another Porsche right! 😂😂
You put so much effort in to your builds so let’s appreciate how hard he works on projects like this
Hannah needs her own channel after she found that bolt 😅 Loving your content, got me hooked on each and every build you do, and this one is next level 😍
She has one but she doesn’t upload
I had a feeling the front bonnet was key lol
She was the fresh eyes on the problem. Sometimes u get so focused on a problem u dont see something. She had a fresk look. What an awesome girlfriend to have. 😍😍😍
The MK2 channel was what Hannah's channel was meant to be😞
respect to you Matt for taking on such a project but the kudos goes to your missus for solving the dash frame removal! These vids are awesome, keep them coming fella
Coventrian here. Nice hearing "Job's a goodun" Keep up the good work Matt.
Love Hannah just bowling and finding that bolt 🤣 your reaction was priceless Mat... they don't make it easy at all. Love the project and love the relationship with Tavarish... such a cool guy 😎
I get the feeling that porsche don't want anyone to access that fuse. In their minds, if a crash is that bad, they would expect you to buy a new one. Matt is a brave lad.
Definitely appreciate this series. Glad you're working with Freddy on this. Kudos and good luck! It's going to be a task.
How have you watched it it’s been up for 2mins or just me being dumb
@@maxwelljames7568 Watching it at time of writing my initial comment. I like the series thus far.
Tavarish is such a amazing person. I absolutely love watching his videos! Wish I knew him on a personal level I’d be helping him in my spare time
At the end of the video when you revealed what your winning bid was for the Porsche I gasped because it was so close to the base price of new GT3. I want so badly for this to work out for you. I honestly believe that you will complete it. I understand passion & I love anything that goes fast so I am rooting for you all the way on this build. It will be amazing when complete.
Tavarish was the first KZhead rebuilder I watched a longggg time ago, it’s nice to see both of you, it’s giving me a bit of older wiser passing on info to younger ambitions vibe, great to see!
Those carbon bucket seats will cost your around $15,000... trust me I just bought a set lol
Harrison saying “trust me “ like he’s literally chats crap out his arse 😂
@@Short_knowledge 🤣🤣🤣
That 15k would be burned into my soul I would remember it too

@@Short_knowledge Cringe 😬
Why have I not seen any of your videos, AND Tavarish’s before this? You two are totally the type of friend’s any car enthusiast never knew they needed
👍🏼Doing a great job "debugging" that car. I'm glad you're showing how manufacturers are making it hard for the DIY're like yourself. Keep perceiving. 👍🏼
What a series this is, love Freddies sense of humour, just when he senses you need a pick me up, boom, a quick one liner to make you laugh. You got this Mat 👍
I’m amazed how you never seem phased by the extent of the damage, super cool 😎
I know the video ended on a downer, BUT!! from what I've learned about you since I started watching your channel you will do it right and you will add value to this car. I have the utmost confidence in you turning this around and cant wait to see you take this car on a journey from broken to re-woken.
Dude, this project is sick. Love it and Tavarish is The Man. Appreciate you both and the videos are incredible. Thank you!
Have zero interest in cars usually but this has become one of my favourite KZhead channels. Love how Mat is always willing to have a go and learn along the way, doubting myself over a DIY project at the moment but watching this channels always makes me feel like carrying on with it
I love his accent. That's why I'm watching 😅
Being a Leicester person, what you do is basically knock off all the ‘y’s and put ‘eh’ on the end, so “all the seatbelts usually lock out ” is “all the seatbelts usualleh lock out” 😂
@@gemma_king doesn't he also knock out all the "t"s in the middle of a word? All the sea'bels usualleh lock out 🤗 this is what fascinates me the most.
Lol yeh I can hear that now as well! Not taking the piss Mat, fellow Leicester native here!!!
@@gemma_king I'm not a native speaker and I don't want to offend you people in Leicester, but to me it sounds like cockney. Maybe he's grown up in London?
Loving every second of this build Mat. This episode was a rollercoaster of emotion, so I can't imagine what it was like for you 👊
One of my fav KZheadrs watching another fav KZheadr , great stuff! Mats got balls though, taking on project like this. Seriously impressive.
This is definetly gonna be a long road, I wish you the best to the future of this project, keep up the good work guys!
so glad i found your channel! love the work so far!!! good luck with this dream project😍
I’m totally not a car guy and have never even touched or bothered about anything that is under hood. But I’m somehow always looking forward to new content of you. That energy and positivism is just so addicting to watch!
Having Freddie around just makes this so much more fun. That structural fix is going to be tough. Hope you can get the parts for it!
Gutted for you to see that structural damage. But if anyone can sort it out, from what you've achieved with other cars and the experience you've gained, it's you Mat. Going to watch Pt2 now!
Rebuilding a profoundly wrecked GT3 in your home shop would be daunting & challenging enough. But to take on a build of this magnitude on a different continent thousands of miles away in someone else's shop is either crazy or brilliant. Matt we're with you on this one, hang in there!! ☮
MATT!!! What a massive opportunity! Super proud of how far you've come! Keep up the good work mate!❤️
This is going to be a super interesting video. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Keep up the good work.
Had my mechanics course interview and aptitude test today. Thank you for inspiring me
I love how Freddy has this dad vibe showing up 8h in on your 30 min job to tell you "yeah I bet if you take out this 3 bolts it'll come right out"
😂😂
😂😂 hes a legend!
@@MatArmstrongbmx you are clown hahah just buy new one for 210k instead of this crap for 160..and all money and work you needed to put in this car is not worth it you will profite zero $

Mate, when I was watching that I was literally screaming, check for a bolt on the bulkhead!! Only from experience I knew, now you do!! You should go live when you have a tricky situation and see what people are saying.. loving this one, hope that front suspension mount isn’t going to kill the project!

I wish you all the luck in the world with this build, I really want to see you drive this car. Not to mention the logistics of coming to the states to get the car and do the work. I'm super happy that you are working together with Tavarish to get this done. The excitement and joyful expression he has on his face in these videos are great, he is truly happy to be working with you on this.

Mat - been watching you videos over the last couple weeks . Not really a car fanatic BUT Iam only watch it because of you, you have amazing talent on camera and you positivity is brilliant.🤘🤘
Been waiting for this!! Can't wait to see her all fixed and ready to roll! 😎
When I get that itch for a project car, I watch Mat’s videos and realize how big of a pain these things can be. Good luck Mat!
If anyone can give this car a second chance, it's definitely you Mat! I can't wait to see the next part of this journey!
16:44 Mat, If you're totally stuck with the broken cast aluminium mount for the Control Arm (i.e. correct parts not available in the USA), you could get someone who knows how to weld to fabricate a new mounting point out of steel, then bolt the new mount securely to the chassis, then thread the control arm into the new fabricated steel mount. Before anyone jumps in trying to be clever, I must add that this would only be a TEMPORARY solution to get the car rolling so that it can be transported home. Once the car is home, you could then repair it properly back to the manufacturers standard. Hope this helps.
Good bless you mat ur content is among the best in the whole of youtube 👍
Love the Freddie & Mat content! Sad to hear the damage is worse than expected. You’ve got this though man!
I love your videos, i really appreciate what you doing for us out here we love cars and you still teach and learn just like us every day when you work on cars like this thank you♥️ I'm from South Africa don't forget to visit sometimes 🥳. Keep on doing what you doing much love ♥️✌🏽
This looks like one serious project! Good luck and will be following this build for sure!!
Bet it smelt lovely in that workshop after they finally got the dashboard out… massive respect for the hard work, fingers crossed the next video goes smoother for you guys🤞
I am always impressed that you find the humour in even the most painful and frustrating moments. Enjoying watching you guys go through this and hoping that you find a pathway out the other side.
Huge amount of respect to you this is a huge undertaking, especially being out of your country
mat no matter the obstacle your work ethic always comes through. you get it done bro through resilience and patience. life lessons 💪
I hope Adam LZ follows the build and lets you drift the compound when it's done 😁 If he lets you have the exhaust he took off as well then he's a true legend 🤣 worth a shot!
He took it off because he's using it on a new Porsche when the time comes lol
it's an expensive aftermarket exhaust if it's not damage I would also do the same and keep it 😅✌️
Adam can probably get another one for free, just to show off the product for the company!
Matt this one will definitely be one for the books! What an awesome journey this is going to be, to bring the GT3 back to life. I am so invested into this build, waiting for my KZhead notification to tell me Matt Armstrong has uploaded a new video 🤣
German engineering is so stupid. They love making simple things complicated.
Awesome stuff, it pays to have a great network of good friends. Really glad to see this vehicle in good hands, as it was with the original owner. Cheers!

Loving watching this. What a massive project and can’t wait for the next episode.
That small chip in the brake disc can easily be fixed at a specialist shop for PCCB in Germany. Cost under 500 EUR.
Nothing seems to defeat you Mat - keep at it and you’ll get there 👍
just weld it back on! I would!! haha
Uhhh is to complicated that part especially if you want to pass the technical inspections
lol
@@ccflan v it out, nice root passes with tig, cap over, grind, re-drill and tap, no one will ever know!
@@KevinTalbotTV can you solder on that type of aluminum?
@@ccflan if its diecast you can't but I assume it isn't because is probably welded onto the car?
Love to see you take this back to Adam lz after you are finish too see his reaction.
I worked for BMW as a technician for years - they have a bolt going through to the facia H frame like that from the engine bay. Always the drivers side a bolt that went into a captured nut held enclosed in plastic - they used to get cross threaded as people on the production didn't have time to hand start them. Called a Wittol bolt 👍🏻
We're all rooting for you, Mat!!
Freddie is a legend and you two have such chemistry.
