We are trying to create a lush oasis in the desert using plants that should need very little to no irrigation once they are fully established.

I was at Pufferfish Villas Nov 13-19. The villas and pool are first class accommodations. Several very good restaurants in town and if you like to party (live music, dancing & alcohol) Loreto has it. D & E are great hosts. The beach is a very short walk. I was not disappointed. 4:54

@@Adrian-op5ni you obviously do not read up on local news. You should learn Spanish. You're missing out on a LOT of information. Naucalpan (cdmx) wants CONAGUA to declare a state of emergency due to lack of water.

Thas it so crazy people from other Contry they cannot buy land in Mexico 🇲🇽 its lease por certainly years that's all but I my kwom it's only lease bet ok we see I hope it's tru ?
You can buy outright inland but if it is 50 miles from the border or the beach it has to be in a bank trust you have to pay an annual fee 50 years renewable trust. Think the first Texas settlers for that law lol you let let them in with no restrictions and you know what happened with Texas.
The restricted zone was put in place after the Mexican American war when a foreigner who had beachfront property in Mexico on the Gulf of Mexico allowed the US military to use his beachfront property to land and amass a large army to march on and ultimately take control of Mexico City. The zone was meant to prevent this from ever happening again. It had nothing to do with foreigners buying beachfront property. The Mexican government admits the law is obsolete in our technologically advanced world, but changing old laws is very difficult anywhere.

Amazing what you two have done. We have been Loreto twice on a cruise ship. My daughter loves it there, our friends love it there so hopefully maybe next year we fly there and stay with you. My hope for your sake we will have a hard time getting a room. Your hard work has paid off..............

Great piece of property and amazing design. Without specifics on costs or even estimate expectations it’s not helpful to others that may be interested in a similar project or doing the same thing. So basically it’s just look what we did. Which is cool too. It’s beautiful.
We have given most of the costs of construction separately in different videos. Basically the Villas come in at about $125 USD a square foot. Our shop came in at about $60 square foot. The pool with all equipment comes in at about $42K, and we have about $30k into site infrastructure. We may do a total cost video in the future but most people get bored when I start talking financials.

The property ownership laws in Mexico are so different from the US that I am surprised that you decided to do this project. Best of luck. I hope you are successful.
Yes the property ownership laws are different, but they are not that hard to work with if you do your research and have a good real estate attorney. Hundreds of thousands of foreigners own land in Mexico and many run businesses here. We have many videos detailing the real estate process here in Mexico if you are interested.

Is only different for foreigners and only 50 from the border and the beach thank the first white Texas settlers for that law
I live in the US since I was a teenager, my father visited for the first time when he was 62 and while driving on I 5N and 14FWY and my dad sad I am glad other people took over this desert and transformed it........
Loreto was the starting point of all of California. It was the first permanent settlement on the Baja peninsula over 325 years ago

The finishing and extra touches you put in far exceeded my expectations. Some times DIY projects look less than impressive. Your resort is right up there with the likes of a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton property. Quite simply amazing! Looking forward to watching your previous videos. Best of luck to both of you. I have shared all the costs a little at a time in different videos. I am planning on making a video detailing all the completed costs but I have to do a bunch of accounting work first so I can have an accurate total. The property was 260K US and building the villas was about $100 a square foot
This is the first video I've seen that illustrates your proximity to the ocean. Closer than I thought. Very nice. Might be great to do a few videos of town and some of what made you choose Loreto. Restaurants, bars, amenities, points of interest......You guys have done such a great job. And, so quickly. I can hear the pride in your voices. And, man, do you deserve to feel proud. Yes, we plan to start showing some more of what Loreto has to offer in upcoming videos. We haven't been getting out much during construction but now we plan to enjoy the town a little more. Look for lots of content on Loreto coming up
Hey yaw. I was watching this video and Google mapped your property at the same time. The map still shows bare land with a little icon in the corner. I hit that and it brought up all these beautiful pictures of your resort. WOW!!!! What you have accomplished is amazing. I am so happy for you for living your dreams. I know you still have more dreams to fulfill, but for now, make a couple margaritas and take yourselves to the beach.

Nice recap, it has been interesting to watch phase one build out. Hope the lifestyle continues to suit your current plans in life. We are looking at doing a similar. though smaller, project in Huatulco as the next step for an early retirement plan. Hope to secure our property in the next week or two and being planning from there. Nice work you two....

Right on!!! I love Loreto! The first time I went there was in 1991!! LOVED IT!! Me and my friends went every year until 2001 and then life just got too busy! We've driven down 5 times from Los Angeles and stayed in the Bay of LA, Mulege, Punta Chivato! It's a long drive but so worth it when you get down there and have your own boat and truck! I have heard Loreto is all built up now! I envy you two and wish you all the best and much success with your resort! I will have to check out your website and see if I can talk one of my old friends into taking a trip down again! You have a new subscriber and look forward to checking out your videos!

11:57 I met a gentleman from Riverside Ca. if was around 2005 he was a home builder here in the states, he said that he bought some property down in Loreto, he built a larger outdoor space than inside space and all of his friends with McMansion hang at his place. I wonder if it is the same guy.

Yes I think the timing of Loreto's rise got interrupted by the 2008 crash, but it seems to be back on track now.

WOW! Hello from Seattle! I’m glad I found you guys, very inspiring when I needed it the most! You both have done an amazing job and I know the journey is very hard, but glad it is worth it in the end and you plan to continue to grow your beautiful villas! We love Mexico been there a few times! I’m a Security Officer at 2 full time jobs at hospitals working over 90 hours a week for 5 years while we have a team slowly build our Beach Hotel in the Philippines paycheck to paycheck, stop and go. We are getting closer to closer to completion about 1 more year before we open Ohana Beach Suites! So many people counted us out and happy for you both to actually have done it! I love your Pool, villas, restrooms and love the signage at night WOW! Happy Holidays!
We love your story! We know how hard it is to make this happen when we have been here on site through the entire process and we had the budget to complete the project when it started. We can't imagine the bravery it must take to do this when you are not on site and having to work so hard to pay as you go. We have subscribed to your channel and can't wait to watch your videos! @@dooglassandesperanza Yes, your right it’s been challenging for sure, I set up CCTV so I watch at work while my team builds in the Philippines, my wife’s Nephew that is a good guy oversees the project with tons of pics and Recipts the best we can from far away and we visit there usually a few times a year but the pandemic messed some of that up. We are going there in a few weeks for Christmas and New Years and we will have great new videos and updates to post. Thanks for the SUB!
